How much exercise do you ladies do a day? Do you do intense cardio, weights? any advice you have is helpful to what helped you lose the most…I eat LC but am struggling with having energy to run…I'd rather be at a lower weight than worry about the runs although I love sweating. Do any of you watch calories or just carbs? Is it possible to lose on low carbs, higher calories? About how many do you maintain with daily?

I eat a lot of veggies, mostly leafy and broccoli/cauliflower+avocado and then chicken thighs, eggs, bacon, real foods no dairy, rare nuts. can't do coconut oil. any useful advice for staple foods and fats that helped you is much appreciated. i also intermittent fast s i eat a bigger dinner, just coffee in am as i prefer it that way. do you all aim to stay in ketosis?

ALL time LOW on Monday (10 March 2014) and made my personal goal of 130lbs.

-120 lbs in 35 weeks!!

In answer to your question Layla91, here is my exercise plan (I've posted it on another thread too! Gotta love copy and paste LOL)

I exercise every weekday morning for 2 - 2.5 hours. I have a stationary bike that I’ve rigged with my computer keyboard so that if I have to be on the computer, I have to peddle. Being a school teacher, I do a lot of lesson planning etc on the computer. And now that I’ve found all of you -- I peddle as I blog. LOL I’m an early riser so I do this before I go to work in the am.

On the weekends, I can log up to 4 hours depending how much work I have. Okay, I’m not sweating bullets as I peddle, but I am peddling constantly for 1 hour at a time (my behind needs a break every hour).

I also weight train every other day for 15 mins.

I have a Galaxy Gear watch (goes with the cell phone) and I track how many miles I walk as I teach -- I rarely sit at school (I teach Guitar, Family and Consumer Sciences “Home Ec for those of my generation” and Technology). I can log around 5 miles each day just at school.

I do my version of A'72 and count both carbs and kcals because I wanted the fastest weight loss possible without it affecting my health (check up last month and I am healthier than a horse.. whatever that means... LOL) If you want details of my WOE I posted it on this thread:

So impressed and inspired by this thread. I am going to weigh in when I return from vacation.. hope I lost instead of gained because I am more relaxed.

Today, I tracked my carbs more accurately. I need to bring this habit back home with me!

Also, Layla-- good for you! I love sweating as well. I struggle with the running sometimes if I don't eat enough.. but at this point, I am looking to lose about 5-7 lbs so I am more interested in that instead of being tired. I am sure it gets easier.. hang in there! Go for it. If you want to run, do it.

Didn't weigh while I was at my Devon home as I so hat the scales there.

This morning I was happy to see 126.2.

Congratulations on your wonderful losses Jo. I no longer do Atkins but I have so much respect for his input. I did Atkins '72 in '73, lol.

Loretta it is a sort of light JUDDD. Just 2 fasting days a week instead of alternate days. I choose any 2 days that suit me....preferably not consecutive.

Great for maintaing, less so for losing at our levels.

136 last week and 135 this week. Cindy, could you write exactly what you eat on the 2 days of fasting. I've been doing something similar, but not sure if I'm fasting correctly. I'm probably slowing down my metabolism, defeating the purpose. I consume less than 600 calories on fasting days.
