Not going to weigh for the next 3 weeks. I have been earnestly trying to lose 5 extra pounds but when I weigh in and see no change, I get discouraged.

137...really bad!!!! Will be Scarsdaling starting Sun...we'll see next Fri. seems that my weekends are out of control. I've been maintaining for 5 1/2 years, but with me it's either all or nothing. I don't think that's good....suggestions???

Deb I think our weight gets out of control when we stop paying attention to ALL the details. I have been adding and adding and not subtracting items. Or just plain avoiding the extras. Soooo easy to do.

Well done and enjoy every jot and iota of that joy for your own competence and success.

I've only been maintaining since June 2013 and I'm dealing with the apprehension about whether or not I'll be able to do it. I do find that all of the maintenance strategies more or less advise that you should not trust your instinctive responses but monitor everything and remain vigilant. The only way to do that seems to be to have very simple food choices and a regular routine

Average for the week is 102.2, but today's number is 103.2. Typical response to a heavy weight-training day and sore muscles. Feel good -- lean, strong, reasonably flexible (and working on that last part). Resting heart rate in a good place (52), and blood pressure? 105/80. I'm celebrating a year on-plan, almost five months in the maintain range, and really grateful for all the help I've gotten, here and elsewhere.

Thanks! I'm more or less of the opinion right now that my first year of maintenance should be pretty much the same as my year (or so) of weight loss. I am a little less angsty about it, though. I think I would be fine just weighing every day and adjusting to that as necessary, but I find that tracking my intake and exercise makes me LESS anxious, not more, because when I get a little blip up for an innocent reason (like today), I recognize it for what it is and don't sweat it.

147.6 lbs today. That's 7.2lbs since the beginning of the year. I take that It's going slow but that's what apparently always happen when u got last 20lbs to lose lol
