Good to be back after the travel and holidays. Today's weigh in is 117.6 which is a few more pounds than I want but much better than last year after the holidays so I am grateful.

148 this morning. I'm up a few pounds from where I'd like to be, but I did have a totally off-plan meal on my birthday Tuesday evening. I'm still below goal, so I can't be too upset

Last Friday I never got to post but I did weigh.
Got on the scale and my weight went up over my 122 acceptable high point. Up by almost 2 pounds. I knew this was probably related to fluid but decided to get back on track and get my weight down. Sunday was just meat and eggs. Tuesday added a little cheese. Wednesday added veggies. I will have to add more carbs for running but the diet has me down to 119. I feared it was all water weight loss but I keep going down. So my plan is to carb up on Saturdays before I run only and stay lower carb the other days for the net week or so. Then I may try upping my carbs again. I am just 1 pound from the weight I want to be. I am not thin but it is a healthy acceptable weight for me. So 119 today. As always maintaining hard. Having a trigger weight where I get back on plan or focused on what I am eating is good and the way I will try to maintain again after I am satisfied with my loss. |

Hi Debbie,
I am kind of at a loss on maintenance too. I basically still eat the same, only not alternating to low days. Just staying at the same calories. Added more clean carbs, but not much else. The water fluctuations get me too. I kind of freak out if it stays 2 lbs over for more then 3 days... start dropping carbs. That's great that you run. Hope its totally fun! I'm enjoying x-country skiing & strength training. Trying to build muscle & tighten up, which might add lbs. too? But I don't know & just want to see the size trim down. One step at a time. I guess.

For some reason I thought it was Friday. Very strange thing for me but when I woke up I thought it was weigh in day.

119.2
Most important is the body fat percentage also going down. One week ago I think I was 123.6 or something near there. Here is my problem. Low carb and running doesn't work for me. I get horrible muscle fatigue. I eat lots of veggies. Now I need to add my oats, bread and brown rice back in. I guess I need to see how my body responds. I am happy to be under 120. I prefer 118 but it is just a number. Truthfully I would like 115 but know it would require a very tight diet and weight training in addition to running. So I need to figure maintenance out. The key is mindful eating and watching how much I ingest. Problem is I don't have a turn off switch! Loretta, how nice to have a new sweet heart. |

146.6. Up a pound from last week. I'd like to be 145, but I'm not ready to restrict myself enough right now to hold down that weight
Loretta--how wonderful to have found a special someone! |

Still don't really know what I'm doing, maintenance-wise. I know I'm not adding enough carbs yet. Need to figure this out, but get so nervous with any increases. ![]() |

This week is 119.4 Down a pound from last week. I ate a lot but kept it low carb and lost, which is quite telling.

118.8. Lowest I have been in a while. I think I have lost over 5 pounds in two weeks. Seem to be hanging around 119. Would like to lose 2 more pounds but not sure i can stay this low carb. I have been sick and not running so didn't try carb cycling yet.

147.6 today. I was down earlier this week, but back up again the last few days. I'm still happy to be below my goal, but would like to see 145 more consistently.
