FRIDAY March 14th TGIF

Good Morning Fellow Maintainers,

A bright Sunny morning up here with milder temps, a promise of plus temps over the weekend that should thaw the sneux!

Today would have been my Father's birthday. He was born in 1900 and lived until he was 91. He would have been 103 today!

Scales still up a tad but feeling tons better now I know the tweeking helped the cholestrol results. Not sure if I did the conversions correctly.

I am running in work today to do some photocopying and some "puter' work. Hope to be back for 2ish.

Later,

Susan, 123lbs working my way back to 119lb!

Hi to all on this Friday, just a week away from spring. Our weather is not as nice as promised for today. Was hoping for sunshine and 70s. I don’t think we will get that.
Going to have fish dinner this evening for DS and his gal. It would be nice if we had some Fresh Fish, the Catch of the Day. Dh will go out for a while and try.

Susan your father sure had a nice long life. Hopefully you have inherited those good genes. I sure think that is where its at. Part of our nature. Glad that the tweaking is getting your weight back down to where you want it to be.

Shawnee are you busy painting that kitchen. It will all be so nice and fresh when you get the job finished. Will pup help with the tail swings. She probably will want to help. That portable mini garden is a great idea. I like it. Nice that it is on wheels. I can’t believe that some of my food has gone bad on me. I need to be eating more or need someone sharing here. My pumpkin pie, the last slice or two got bad and my Strawberry Napolean got bad. I was trying to cut back one week and went back to deviled eggs and sf jello, instead of the pies. I heated up some of my “grilled bread” and put some cinnamon and splenda on it, pretty good stuff.

Boy Linda I hope that your winter weather is soon a thing of the past. Enjoy your staying home from work and the cleaning. That cleaning house is good for our morale. It just feels better to have a nice clean house. I have one project that is really taking me a while to complete. Trying to get rid of things.

Shelly hope you got to plant those pansies. Your weather sounds great, temps in the 70s. Enjoy

Zip how was that Chinese Dinner and the show? Did you leave some on your plate this time?
That takes real will power.

Hoping the show goes well for Ginny and her gals make her proud. That orchid association is about as big as the quilters. April is show time for them. It is a big event here in Paducah. Lots of men entering and winning prizes.

Hi to Pam.

Later guys

Hi Y'all

We are in another LULL...LOL..the newscaster says we get a break between the storms, how nice for the reprieve..the gorgeous bright sun break lasted all of 15 minutes....but at least we're not getting drenched again just yet!

Susan, Congrats on the Tweeking results; you are on the Healthy Trail now... I know about having "older" parents...Dad was born 1891, Mom was 1898. I was born in '45, so you can see they weren't spring chickens when I came along. I have nieces and nephews older that me.

Bummer, Loretta..with the foods going bad..haven't had that happen..by the 3rd day, stuff gets frozen or pitched out.

The kitchen project will be ongoing for quite a while...Bob got his part done, and I started priming it yesterday...years back, I painted all the cabinets, cause the wood hue depressed me...seemed like a great idea at the time..and I do love the look...but re-painting them all will be time-consuming. I'm sure Pup will have some tail-action involved with the lower cabinets, possibly some nose-prints too ..and the cat is an Inspector, so might get some tiny paw print decorations..oh, well...gotta love em.

Gotta go out looking for some paint, the Kitchen/Bath stuff I like is never on sale when I'm ready for it..I should plan ahead and stockpile, huh?? I'll be using the same ol' colors, Corn Husk and Federal Blue..cause I love em, and don't feel a need to change em. They are Comfort colors.

Montana, Tink, ZIP, Shelly, and Lurker...hope y'all are having a good one....be back later.

Checking back!

Had a quick late morning in work, home for 2.30ish. Whew, glad to have the administrative stuff out of the way!

Temps promising to rise onto the plus side this weekend! So that means DH will be playing out. He loves to clear out the garage after the winter. Then, when true Spring is here and the snow has gone off the back yard he will get all the tools out of the shed. The lawnmower etc...He loves pottering around the yard! No green thumb though. He cuts the grass, cleans the yard and washes the cars etc.. Handy guy to have around.

Shawnee:
Is that the same LULL before the proverbial Storm? Glad you are having a repreive!
About the older parents....you sound like you are on the same life path as me. Isn't your birthday around the holidays too? New Years Day, I am Christmas Eve.......ummmmmh similarities, but no green thumb or Suzy baker here!
I'm tired already....you are fixing up your kitchen! Those paw prints, nose prints and inspector cat prints, would be wonderful on the carpet lining the limo to take the critters down the Florida for the virtual vacation Now, Corn Husk and Federal Blue....ummmmmmh.....better check with the critters! Keep cozy and DRY!

Loretta:
I think you had better grab those uniforms back and open up a business, with your own Cholesterol lowering recipe for life!
I can see the headline, "Nurse finds Miracle diet!" My results were amazing! I was very pleasantly surprised to see that much of a change in 5 months. I call my lethicin, "Loretta's Lethicin" and I think of you daily, as I tip out each capsule. Thank you for your guidance, it sure works. Linda suggested Omega 3 oils to help increase my HDLs, so will purchase those this weekend, another wonderful guide!
Sorry you missed the Sunshine today, it has been a little cloudy here today too! Fish for supper will that have the Omega 3?
washed down with the rouge vino? I love this combo!
Yep, I too hope that I inherited my Father's genes for longevity as my Mom died at 54, the age I am right now!

Linda,
Thank YOU for the fantastic tip to boost my HDL's. I will be purchasing them this weekend.
Is your contract up already? So you are a woman of leisure, semi-retired! Enjoy the house projects. Oh, that cleaning is Sooooo cathartic to me!

Waving to Zip, Ginny, Shelley and Pam. What you guys up to???

Hi, good friends.
Susan--You will be at 119 in a twink of an eye. Your dad lived a nice, long life. 91, wow! My dad will be 80 in October, and is such an active guy.
Loretta--I hope your DH has good luck out there fishing. Fresh fish is the best!
Shawnee--It will be a fun adventure, painting with your furbabies assisting. Why not add a paw print or two for a special touch?
Storms are supposed to be coming our way for the next 3-4 days. Needed snow for the ski areas, for sure. Angelal, over on the playground will be up here soon. This Monday, she, Caity, a guy named sonichart, and I will go to lunch at the Hard Rock, in Harvey's Casino. I thought it would be fun for us to pool about 10 or 20 bucks, and try to win the megabucks. It's over $38,000,000. Snowballs chance in hell of that happening, but it will be fun trying, anyway. Tomorrow DH, my dad, and I are headed to Fairfield for younger DD's baby shower. Fairfield is near the Bay Area (San Francisco.) If there's really bad weather over Echo Summit Saturday evening, we'll stay over.
Hi to Linda, Zip, Ginny, and Shelley!

Hi everyone,
Been busy today running around to get those blasted tax forms and then shopping. Ugh. But at least the sun was out and the weather guy promised us some 50 degree temps this weekend. Yippie!!
Bummer though, I think I'm getting a cold. Grrrr. When it goes to my chest, I usually end up in the ER in the middle of the night with an asthma attack. Maybe I'll stay up all night and sleep during the day. LOL

Susan, the contract is up on the 31, and I can't wait.

Our guys love to play outside too don't they? Gerard gets the lawn mower and tractor ready to go also. Maybe this spring, we may try a small garden again.
Glad your blood lipids improved so much and hopefully, the Omega3 will get that HDL up a bit more.

Loretta, It's too bad your goodies went bad. How long do you keep them? I usually freeze things in individual servings and take them out as needed. Being a paranoid type about food poisoning, I don't keep ANYTHING longer than three days unless it's frozen.
Hope your dh catches some nice fresh fish for your dinner. Yumm!

Tink, Oh no! Not more storms Hopefully they won't be too bad. Enjoy that baby shower tomorrow.

It's going to be so great to meet the other low carbers for lunch and some fun times. Hopefully you will win the big prize. Say Hi to all of them from me.

Shawnee, LOL I can just see the critters "helping" you paint. Cabinets are a pain to paint for sure. Maybe you should think about Susan's suggestion and put a few paw prints around.
Your colors do sound like comfort colors. I just love federal blue and am thinking about it for one of the bedrooms. Post some pictures when you are finished.

Roger must be enjoying the evening out. Hopefully we will read his next review soon.

Shelly, are you busy planting flowers?

Ginny, best of luck at the Orchid show. I'm sure you will win some prizes.

Have a good night everyone.

Hi again Y'all

Susan, yup, that's EXACTLY the LULL...we had about an hour of beautiful sunny weather this afternoon..and I wasted it in stores looking at paint chips ....another day or two, and we should be back to "normal", whatever that is...weather has totally gone beserk, no predicting it anymore.
btw, my B-day is Jan 5, we are both Cappies, huh?
The critters are ok with the colors, that's all they have ever known...I have painted (and re-painted) the same colors since before my "babies" were born..LOL

Tink, GO FOR THE BIG BUCKS!
Have a great and safe trip, enjoy that shower.

Montana, if I see pawprints on the fresh paint, I'll know y'all have been in a conspiracy with my critters ...would be kinda cute, huh? LOL. .A few months back, I wouldn't let Bob wash off the front porch, cause the 'coon tracks were SO CUTE ! A friend took a pic of them, cause she loved it!
How's Inky doing?

see y'all tomorrow, I'm just finishing up a fancy cake for Grandbrat's housewarming tomorrow night...(yes, Loretta, it is after midnight here) ...I do my best work when the critters and Bob are asleep. LOL
