Girondet, I was able to get Org. Valley pastured butter at Kroger for a while, but they've stopped carrying it. I have only found Org. Valley pastured hh so far, not yet the hwc. I prefer the taste of the Org. Valley pastured butter to the Kerrygold I've tried. The always tasted old and freezer burnt, even if they never were frozen.

Hmmm. I don't love the kerrygold myself, although others rave about it. It's the only pasture-fed around here I think. I usually shop at Publix. Will have to check Kroger again, or Whole foods, which is more of a trek for me....but butter should be delicious or why bother?

Ancestral eating seems like a good idea. I consume a lot of coconut products I'm sure my ancestors did not have access to...lol...

I don't much care for the Kerrygold myself, and butter should be delicious or why bother?

Whole foods is calling me, I think...lol...we have Kroger but I don't recall seeing pastured butter there. I usually shop at Publix.

Girondet, I agree about butter taste. If I get some pastured cream, I might make some butter with some of it.

I've never seen anything but Kerrygold at Publix.

Deborah, which brand of hot dogs do you buy? I can't find any beef ones that aren't full of wretched ingredients.

Tea w/ animal fats
B: Beef and yoghurt
L: Beef, yoghurt, and egg yolks
Sn: decaf coffee w/ light cream
S: probably not, B & L were large today.

Deborah, thanks. I've looked at those. Here are the ingredients:

Beef, Water, Contains 2% or Less of: Salt, Sodium Lactate, Spice, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Paprika, Sodium Diacetate, Garlic Powder, Sodium Erythorbate, Sodium Nitrite, Flavorings.

Not exactly 100% beef. Hydrolyzed soy protein can be monosodium glutamate. A reference:

http://www.truthinlabeling.org/hiddensources.html

And "flavorings" can be very problematic.

I may go to a butcher and have some sausages made with beef and beef casings and no "weird" ingredients.
