Menus of 100 grams of Carbs....
I was wondering if anyone had some typical menus where they ate at the higher carb level like 100 g or so. I am currently eating around 20 g a day for the past 6 months, however if all goes well, I may have a very good reason to need to up my carbs quickly. I'd like to start planning ahead and get my head wrapped about the idea of what 100 would look like so I don't go "carb crazy" ![]() I find one of my favorite things from this forum is everyone's menus - I get so many ideas. So do you mind sharing? Thank you!!!

In general, if you eat 3 meals a day at 1-2 carb servings (about 12-15 NC) per meal you will be in the ballpark. Ex., a common breakfast for me is a slice of Nature's Own Stone ground WW toast, eggs & cheese or ham & 1 c. milk. That's 20 NC. If I make that 2 pcs of toast, it goes up to 28 NC for that meal. For many specific menus, Dr. Atkin's last book before he died, ATKINS FOR LIFE, has lots of 100 carb menus. It is a very good resource. Good Luck! |

Thanks Happyheart - DM has the Atkins books at the moment and I am not quite sure where she hid them so I'm waiting for her to find them in the next few days.
I also know I should get some keto sticks since the main goal is to keep myself out of ketosis for awhile. Those should help me figure out if I need to eat as much as 100 g a day or less/more. Just when I first think of what I eat now at 20 net carbs - my brain initially said well multiply that by 5 = 100! I couldn't even fathom that much food! lol I'm just nervous I will jump back into older habits and I don't want that either. |
