MOODY TUESDAY (PhotoIsland at Least)
Yep red x's for everybody all the way back. It's been a week of screwy PI operation...methinks they've got too many subscribers to keep up with. I will search around for some others and report back if I find any good ones (in CODE of course so as to keep the word amonst ourselves.)
Shawnee: What to say to a frozen primrose: ![]() ...ps they'll be FINE...... til they defrost. Planting in February indeed...I can almost HEAR god giggling her head off. Only freezing here today...DEEP FREEZE tomorrow...BUT, no snow so I'll get my pantry cabinet with any luck. Loretta is off having a very nice day, I'm sure...everybody needs a day off now and then....worry not. (with the storms that swept through KY, I'll bet on power outages though....thank the LORD for our underground lines all the way back to the power station) I'm going to Foodmart International to see if I can find some key lime juice. Stay warm everybody.

Good morning everyone,
It's a deep freeze here today also, but at least the sun is out. Zip, LOL god giggling her head off. ![]() Photo island has been a real pain in the a$$ lately so I signed up for Boomspeed last evening, but I never received an e mail back from them. Don't know if I can get in there or not. Grrrr. I'll try later. Enjoy your trip to Home Depot and putting that pantry together. I find putting those things together is relaxing in an odd sort of way. Loretta just posted on the Golden and said she had problems getting on the bb. It could be the storms or just this site acting up again. Shawnee, Ginny, Loretta, Pam, Susan, Shelly , how are you all doing? I'm off to work but will check in later. Linda |

Gosh I guess I had better get my butt in here before I set off the alarms. Thanks for your concerns. We surely are a tight bunch. I love being a part of the Crazy Eights.
I had a problem getting into the bb yesterday. I think it was my error now that I think about it. Does it have a new addresss? I was using lowcarbfriends.com but now I see it has changed to low-carb-friends.com. Part of the problem. That and the board was frustrating yesterday. So slow. DH and I had some business to take care of and the entire day was messed up. I was busy trying out a new recipe too. I found my unflavored gelatin and found a recipe called Strawberry Napoleans using yogurt and fat free ricotta, skimmmed milk and fresh strawberries. You know I had to try that. Pretty good too. The recipe was on the knoxgel web site. Linda I love your kitchen. I like the separation of cooking area and eating area. Mine is a little similar but not as bright and sunny. An added on patio with a roof right outside of my large window prevents the nice sunlight from getting in. See you too some time to bake cookies. I probably need that recipe too. Zip good luck on finding your bargains today at the International Food Mart. That rotassarie chicken reminds me of the Roast Sticky Chicken Recipe that you bake at 250 for 5 hours. It is moist and tender. I fix it frequently. LOL about god giggling too. Susan what a nice idea the pink carnations and the sprig of fern. The only thing I remember about the group my DH was in was the last evening they had a cake. I was wishing they had another choice there. I had passed it up. Did you get your flight to Fla plans together? I'm sure you are looking forward to warm weather. Tink it is nice that you are close to your DGDs being in the Cinderlla pagent. I wish I was a little closer to my DGkids. I think that I would enjoy the high school kids picking out their tuxes for the formals. No big serious life changes for them, just FUN. Shawnee too bad about that 19 degrees. We too are having a cold spell again. Will it help if you cover those primroses or will it be too late for that? LOL about 3 binders for your recipes. I have just 1 so far but it is filling up. I guess we do change around and lose some of them as our tastes change ie, the soy. What do you think about me using some rye in your Yeast Muffins? I will have to see if my store has rye flour, but it is probably carby. Hope Shelly returns soon. Ginny those Carmel rolls sound delicious. Hope you did not get this snow and cold stuff. Stay warm out there on the dock. Later guys Last edited by Loretta V : 02-25-2003 at 10:04 AM. |

Mornin' y'all,
Cold and sneaux flurries here. Will be an ugly night at work if this keeps up! Loretta, glad to know you're safe and sound--the board was really running slow yesterday, so I wasn't very active here either. Linda, don't take any chances on the roads! We don't want to have to drive up there in Redneck Girl to pull you out LOL Besides, it only sits 3.... Zip, hope you get to run to HD, I'm sure you can even find something in the garden center to keep Phonecia company? Shawnee, ouch on the cold weather! Hope the primroses survive and recover for ya! I bet even Pup is wanting to stay in today! Susan, good for the members in your group! The carnation/fern idea is really good, and gives a visual for them to use as well as just knowing they will be more healthy (this from a smoker yet!) Pam, I bet once prom season hits y'all will sure be hopping there! No time like the present to rest up for it in advance! LOL Lurkers and all, have a wonderful day!

Hi Y'all
BRRrrr, I don't know what FRONT or LOW to blame this cold weather on, but wish it had moved North to AK where its needed. Some days, Anchorage is warmer than here. Those Primroses are strange little creatures, suprisingly resiliant..so they will either make it...or not. ![]() OK, Loretta...guess you get an Excused Absence for yesterday ..the BB was a read slow go at times. Guess I'll have to get some Knox and create something gooey...will go to that website and look for the Napolean. Montana, I found myself actually ducking to see under your cabinets, looking for the mudpie color. Looks like Clay mud! Nice kitchen, looks effecient, everything within reach quickly. ZIP, hope you find that Pantry cabinet and get it and yourself home without problems. I'd sure like to have more storage space, but lack room for it. DH is talking about adding a cabinet, but its kinda scarey to me, as his sense of form/function sometimes doesn't doesn't meet my criteria...LOL..he is excellent at carpentry and mechanicking...but soooo slow....like Montana says about Gerard, he doesn't get in a hurry and actually "sleeps" on his ideas. The thought of having the kitchen in a construction uproar for several days .. ![]() Ginny, better double up on the long johns for tonight, don't want ya freezing yor skinny backside off. Because of Pup's various problems, we don't like for her to get too cold or too hot..it stresses her, and that leads to seizures...so she mostly sticks with me for indoor/outdoor activities. She tends to forget how cold it is during night potty breaks, if there's a critter available to chase. Treeing coons and possums is such a thrill for her, she thinks she's a hound....I want her to stick to tennis balls. Susan and Tink, hope your days are going well...I must get into Susie Mode and tackle some housework. Be back later to check on ya. Shawnee |

A quick Hello before this BB jumps me off the page again!
I have been typing a post for all of you and guess what it vanished. The cursor has been jumping all over the page. I have been typing on different lines, then the hourglass came on and I dont think I hit anything and the post vanished. Very Bright and Sunny day up here, gorgeous blue skies, very cold of course -18C I think that is -27F not sure if I did the calculation right ZIP! Shawnee: Thank you so much for the bouquets of compliments. Oh, the 3 Binders, yikes I cant start compiling more papers. DH will go nuts, I already have stacks of Health Department stuff around. Florida is booked now with the Travel Agent. Yep, Linda the phone is better sometimes that the internet. Tink: What Name do you have for your New little GS?????? Enquiring minds need to know! Waving to all, hope to come back later if BB is available! |

Hello all. All is well. The weekend visit to my BIL's in VA went great. I stayed on track with eating and it wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be.
The changes in the BBs are nice but it seems they still have some bugs to work out. Looks like most of you are having real Winter weather. The last couple of days have been in the 50s here. I love Spring and can't wait for the warm weather to stay so I can work in the yard more. It helps get the needed exercise in too. ![]() Have a great rest of the day everyone. Hope to check back in this evening. Shelly |

Hi Shelley,
Glad to see you are back and to hear that you stayed on track. This is a great WOL! It is all a matter of choices! I agree with you about the warmer weather and the much needed exercise in the garden. Those Choices to me indicate what size of clothing I will be wearing this Summer! This keeps me on track! Later, |

SO was called to work tomorrow, but I am going to go through with the pantry-getting...I hope the tiny woman who's driving me can help me heft it into the car... gosh, I hate to ask favors. I figure HD staff can get it from the high shelf and put it on a flatbed cart...once we get it home the doorman can help me get it on our handtruck...it's only the ooomph into the car that's dicey. It's far too heavy and clumsy for one.
Susan: that -18° Celsius is about 0°F Making first burgers in neighbor's George Foreman. We decided chicken is too dry. If the burger isn't wonderful, we'll give up on the idea of buying one. Imagine, New York is counting the homeless population this week...they've been at it for an hour and found 3 today. Can you imagine a STUPIDER waste of time...they are showing some doofs walking around and peeking into doorways...last night they found 4, yes that's 4 out of an estimated 30,000. Can you believe the silliness. I hope they checked the roster of the PLAZA HOTEL, I'm sure lots of newly homeless spend the night there at $400 a night. |

Good evening from the frozen tundra of upstate NY. Good Lord it's going down to 2 below tonight. My God where is spring?
Zip, Home Depot will load those heavy things for you. At ours, they have "loaders" that they page when people need assistance. How big is that thing anyway? We never use our GF grill unless we are traveling. It's convenient for that. I don't care for the "dry" meats and poultry though. Some people love it. Not me. Loretta, this bb does have a new addy so bookmark that one. The knox recipe sounds wonderful!! Now I know what to try with the box I have sitting here. Maybe Sunday when the moms come for dinner. Oh gee, We have a deck right off the side of the house where the kitchen and eating area are. It faces west and gets too hot out there in the summer. Now we have to watch for West nile virus too and hardly ever sit out there. Been thinking of putting a roof over it and screening it in. Humm, guess it will be dark in the kitchen then. Gosh Ginny, dress warm and don't work too hard. Get yourself into the office to get warm as necessary. LOL, Is Red Neck Girl 4 WD and do you want to destroy your clutch too? Anyhoo the roads are pretty good up here. Hopefully it won't sneaux this week. Shawnee, damn ! I'm sorry you are getting that cold front. Send it on up to AK and not east will ya? LOL mental image of you ducking to see my "clay" walls.. Actually our soil here is hard clay. Just awful to plant anything in. Hope those primroses make it. Did you cover them with plastic? Susan, Congrats on getting your trip booked. Are you staying in a hotel or with your ds? Wish I were headed south too. How long are you going to be gone? Lucky girl! Shelly, welcome back!! Glad you had a good visit with BIL in VA. and I hope the weather cooperated for you. 50's huh. We are all jealous. My cousins and one Aunt live in Raleigh but I haven't heard from them in a few weeks. They must be enjoying the nice weather. Off to lurk... |

Hi again...
Glad to see you back, Shelly..and you had a good trip. Maybe you will want to join in on our recipe experiments...when one of us is having a problem, we tackle it from different angles LOLGeez, ZIP... talk about Ironic..I was looking (as per DH's request) at GF grills today in several stores. DH and I are conflicted over a couple features, but both agree we want the $100-size one, cause I cook big amounts.. I want a black one to match some other appliances.. and he wants one with that damn bunwarmer lid..which I find objectionable, cause its made from a piece of junk plastic, just waiting to break. Now Montana says they make dry meat.. How bout a piece of Bacon over the steak?LOL..if we do get one, maybe I can teach DH to make his own Grilled Cheese sandwitches, his fave midnight meal. Guess we will go to HD tomorrow for some lumber, etc. Will be adding a cabinet in the kitchen...we had to do some compromising on the overall plan of it, but did so without any yelling or fisticuffs! ![]() ..that could change when actual building starts. Susan, hurrah for getting the FL plans made. Have you ever been to St. Augustine? ..saw a tv bit about it last night..(think Ponce da Leon, Fountain of Youth).....lovely there! You must have Anti-freeze in your blood.....Brrrr. Tink, what are you up to? Bet you are excited about the upcoming Baby shower. Our weather here is yo-yoing: last night was 19*...this afternoon warmed up to a gorgeous 55*...now back to below freezing tonight....variety, anyway. The Primroses looked a little better...Nah, I didn't cover them, they are on the front porch, and I'd probably forget to uncover them. ( I'm a back-door user) Survival of the fittest! Stay warm ShawneeLast edited by shawneesioux : 02-25-2003 at 09:01 PM. |
