preg. thread Monday

Hi All,
It's a Snow Day today!!!!! I am so excited that I got to sleep in today! Speaking of sleeping in.....have any of you found yourselves waking up early in the morning and then not being able to get back to sleep? I was up at 5 yesterday morning and didn't have to be up until 9 to get ready for church....I couldn't get back to sleep. UGH!
I have my fist perinatal appt. this coming wed. I don't know if they will do another ultrasound or not. I had one last friday and saw the fetal sac and the tech said she thought she saw the beginings of the fetal pole.
I am going to a high risk specialist due to my age...41 and med. history...2 m/c's in the 4 years we have been trying.
I am having more symptoms which is reassuring...still no actual morning sickness just a little upset stomach every once and a while throught the day.
Hope you are all doing fine!
Cecilia

Hi Cecilia.
I do wake up early and not be able to go back to sleep...it is unusual as early on as you are though!
I am expecting #8 in June...and I am going to be 43 in APril and I have had several miscarriages..in fact this baby was concieved within 2 weeks of a miscarriage! I am prayig for you and am sure everything will be fine.
I am doing well except for a lowback ache that is more related to the computer chair, I think, than the baby. I still seem to be staying smaller this time, wonder why? I can still see my feet and usually by now they are but a fond memory.
I am clearing my mom's house this week in preparation for closing on it on friday...the closing on our new house is monday and no prospects yet on the house we are in.
I am doing better staying low carb...found htat my cravings were directly related to protein consumption (or lack thereof) and so have upped it quite a bit, having the keto shakes as snacks in the afternoon or along with meals. I feel liket he L'Oreal commercial.."Expensive, but I am worth it!"
Hope everyone else is fine.

Hi ladies!

I haven't had much time to check in lately. I am so busy at work, and then by the time I get home I am exhausted! I have a lot of things to finish and catch up on at work before I go on maternity leave. And I'm trying to train someone else to do my job. So, needless to say, work has been hectic.

I had my one hour glucose test on Thursday. I had been dreading it because everyone was telling me how gross that orange stuff is, but I must be weird because I actually LIKED it! It tasted like an orange soda, just not carbonated. And it was ice cold, too. Not to mention that I had been 9 hours without anything to drink! I guzzled it in about 10 seconds! I haven't heard anything about the results yet. My doctor's office usually doesn't call with the results of any tests if they are good. But I do have an appointment Wednesday though. I can ask then if I haven't heard anything.

Farmgirl ~ I am praying for you and sending sticky vibes your way. Think positive! This pregnancy will stick. I just know it! As for the sleeping, I really can't relate. There's not much that keeps me from sleeping! My belly isn't really big so I can still sleep comfortably. Hope this continues!

Marye ~ Glad everything is going well with you. I can relate to the back pain though. My doctor prescribed me some Tylenol 3. It does ease the pain some, so when the pain is not bad, I try to do a little exercise, in the hopes that it will help the back pain ease up even more and I won't need the Tylenol. So far it has been working. The pain doesn't seem to be as bad (knocking on wood as I type).

Sorry this is so long. I just wanted to catch up. Hope everyone else is doing alright.

Hello to those who follow!

Susan

Hello ladies!! Well, I had a busy weekend. Saturday we had a co-ed baby shower hosted by DH's bosses wife. It was ok, not a lot of people showed up but the ones that did made it very nice. We mainly got clothes, so there is still a lot of stuff we need. Then Sat night I came down with a cold. I am still fighting the sore throat, but I don't think it is strep or anything like that.

Sunday was my birthday and it was pretty uneventful. I was still feeling bad, and DH didn't get me anything, no suprise there, it was the third bday in a row that he didnt' give me a present. He still hasn't given me my valentines present either, he says I will get it today. We'll see.

I ended up cleaning yesterday, I felt the apt. was filthy. He did help with that. We went out to eat and that was about it. He did say some very sweet things to me though. And, he also said that he does want me to be a SAHM!!! I couldn't belive it. He doesn't want me to get my hopes up or anything, but considering I do the finances I know we can make do if he is willing to give up some things.

Susan, I too belive it your numbers had been elevated then they would have already called you. You probably have nothing to worry about.

Vickey-
I have been a sahm for 23 years. It is amazing how things work out and, altho there have been times that were tough financially I have never regretted it. I know there are lots of reasons to have a career but believe me, if youa re committed to stay home it will be possible somehow. MArc sells jewelry, hardly a high paying career. He has been in management int he past but he really just likes workign wiht people. Anyway...just wanted to encourage you that it can be done. I knwo your cost of living in higher..Marc is from your area and his brother still lives in central Mass. so I have an idea of the cost of living!

Hi everyone! I am home early today. There was sleet (sp?) on the roads so they sent us home early. I have been surfing for about an hour now but I need to get some work done. It will be a busy week. I have my ob. appt on Th and then some friend are coming in on Friday. Two of them are hostesses for my shower. We are having it at my house this Sat. I can't wait. I hope the weather is nice...I was planning on wearing a linen outfit....I will probably wear it regardless since the shower theme is tropical.

We had a very nice wkend. My husband did some more work on the nursery....it is looking so great! WE (well mostly he) cleaned too.

Oh and I totally pigged out this wkend too! And now being stuck in the house will certainly not help!

Take care!

Hi all!

My first OB appointment is tomorrow. I hope I get an u/s like with my other 2 pregnancies - for some reason I *really* need to see that little heartbeat.

Cecilia - I can relate to your sleep troubles. I sleep terribly when I'm preggo. I either have weird vivid, sometimes scary dreams that jolt me out of my sleep, or I toss & turn and wake up throughout the night. And I'm d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g all day long with exhaustion. Funny how I forget about all these "fun" symptoms when I get the baby itch and can't get preggo fast enough! LOL! I know I'll sleep well again in about 2 years - ROTFL!

Keep your fingers crossed that tomorrow's appointment goes well!
