Debby, how does Primal differ from Atkins for you?

Hmm... that's quite a question. I'm not real 'up on Atkins' anymore...

But the food you eat on Primal is non-processed. Grass-fed meats, non-gluten, non-processed foods in their natural state & organic as much as possible. Not much dairy or fruit, but it is allowed. Basically no grains. Exercise is more 'natural'... but regular & using wt training with natural sources... like stacking wood.

My goal was to walk at least 10,000 each day this month. Succeeded

I wanted to exceed the 137 miles I walked in September - walked 147 miles or 357,500 steps

I have been tracking my steps since June 1 and have walked 680 miles or 1,460,000 steps.

When we started this challenge, I wanted to maintain my weight within a 5 lb margin.
On Sept 1st, it was 149 and today was 146 lbs. Total loss since 2001 is 230 lbs.

I am finding that a little intermittent fasting works very well to help me maintain. I had gotten up to the low 40s (net carbs) some days, averaging in the high 30s, and decided to throw in an induction-level day once in a while. Did two of those in a row, then more or less spontaneously did an almost-24-hour almost-fast just because I wasn't hungry and was in the mood for a long, easy walk rather than time in the kitchen. (I hold off on eating until lunchtime most days anyway.) So I had a long, slow, low-stress fatburning walk and a brilliantly clear head on a cold, bright day. Nice.

Hi Martha, good to see ya.

Wonder where everyone's been. I imagine it will pick up after the holidays.

Happy Thanksgiving!
