ice cream or frozen yogurt
Now that we're approaching summer, I'm beginning to crave ice cream. Is there any kind of frozen dessert that anyone can recommend? I used to eat Skinny Cows. They come in a variety of flavors. There's also Weight Watcher's ice cream. I don't want to eat anything that will sabotage my efforts to maintain. Everything either has sugar or too high in carbs. I eat regular Fage Greek yogurt and add Splenda to it. It's yummy! Anything frozen like this?

I did a quick google and found this,"LeCarb frozen dessert", it's supposed to be at every Super Walmart. Couldn't get a carb count? Let me know how it is, if you try it.

I am wondering...now that you are maintaining...do you ever eat higher carb fruit-like bananas???
If so, take a frozen banana, 1 TBSP coconut oil and some nuts (almonds or cashews work great for this) and blend together for homemade ice cream. You can throw it back in the freezer for it to get rock solid before you eat if you want. Dyan |

I've decided I will only eat the real ice cream made by the local dairy in my community, a wonderful local food producer -- the family recognizes me and I've petted some of the cows.
I will let myself have it as a treat once a month or so in warm weather. I've found I feel really satisfied with that, and I know it's a fresh product without hormones or chemicals. That's worked well for me. |

MooRoo (Hansen's Dairy). But I mean really local -- as far as I know they sell only in two outlets in Cedar Falls and Waterloo. I don't know about the carbs and ingredients -- I figure it's basically average ice cream carbs, which is plenty. But it's not as intensely sweet as most commercial ice creams, and their milk is non-homogenized and rGBH-free.
