I think the Friday Weekly Weigh-In thread is good too (if not gripping reading) -- week by week, you can see the success of a whole bunch of people maintaining their weight loss in real time.

Thanks you two.
see I went to the success stores thread and I can only see three.. read them! It looks like a while ago Dottie asked everyone to post them in the main forum.. so it's hard to search for them.. I tried "success" and got way to other posts with just the word "success" in them.. Prairieprof I can't seem to find the "Friday weigh in " thread either! can you let me know what section? Thanks so much, I really need this. I am struggling big time. |

I dropped 50 pounds, went from a size 16+ to a size 8, and cured myself of PCOS over the course of 18 months. I have now been maintaining for 16 months and have been a dedicated exerciser for 3 years. It all feels wonderful!

At one time, several years ago, I was 191. I am now 131 and have been maintaining for about 8 months. I lost most of the weight on Weight Watchers several years ago. I slowly gained back 20 pounds. Last March I went on the Scarsdale Diet and lost the 20+10 more pounds. I weigh myself often. I eat the food on the maintenance part of the diet, which is so easy for me to incorporate in my lifestyle. Basically, no white foods, plenty of protein, plenty of fruit, vegetables and nuts. I also snack on South Beach cereal bars. Oh, and I drink wine on the weekends!
