When did you finally say enough & decide to enter maintenance?

For me, after 3 years-it was just time. I was just 'done' losing weight. I didn't want to be focused on trying to lose another 20 lbs for the rest of my life. No way to live! So I said 'be done with it!' And so I am. It's a GREAT, FANTASTIC, ECSTATIC, WONDERFUL feeling! Those are just a few of the words I have to describe it.

So, of course, I always have to have one goal or another. So I decided to just make this the year that I stay grain free (grains bloat me-whether they are gluten free or not and make me very, very, very hungry-no matter if I eat them with fat or not) and low-sugar (I still eat high percentage dark chocolate once in awhile). It's great to be focused on something other than weight loss as well.

And I do have gym goals as well-lifting weights, cardio, stretching-and finally-doing some Yoga as well. My goal is just to be consistent wtih my exercise for the next year as well. I tend to be a Yo-Yo exerciser. Trying to break that habit.

I'm in maintenance because I surpassed my goal weight. My original Weight Watcher's goal was 150. I am now 131. I'm a size 8 and some 8's are a little big. I'm happy with the way I look and my size. It's very hard to maintain. I think it's harder than losing. I've been trying to maintain since last June. So I've maintained for about 7 months. That's not really very long when you consider a lifetime. I can't let myself gain again! This website is helpful.

I agree about this website- and fitday!

I decided after I passed my original goal (also 150) and got to 135. I have a hard time maintaining that, but do have a new idea about more fish....
