General Foods LowCarb Coffee Mixes

Hi,

Do any of you use General Foods Swiss Mocha low sugar mix?
I found some and you use it in coffee or water to make a faux
chocolate drink. I tried it and it was a nice change from Da Vincis
although it didn't taste much different. It has 2 carbs in 1 tsp.

You mean the sugar free kind, I've been buying that for several years, sometimes the stores are sold out in fact. I keep a "stash" of that here in the pantry, and relatives that live near a Wal Mart super store always buy me some when they come to visit!!! It's wonderful, I don't care for the taste of those flavored bottled syrups at all. You may also enjoy the Soy Slender no sugar added chocolate soy milk, it's good too, also comes in vanilla and capuccino. It is sold in a carton on the shelves where soy milks and organic foods are kept, NOT in the fridgerated case!!! This product has less calories and fat than the ones in the cold cases too. I buy this one by the case, it keeps in your pantry until you open it, then you keep it in the fridge. These two products are something I always have around. Provide a good chocolate "hit" per day.

That's great to know! What's the carb count on the Soy Slender?

It says 1 gr. net carbs. 3 gr. fat 70 calories per cup. Exchange 1/2 milk, reduced fat. I use this instead of drinking a cup of fat free milk, as one of my dairy exchanges. The dietitian approves of it. I always need a "chocolate hit" every day you see..................

Bella,

I keep forgetting to tell you, I viewed your pictures and you've done great! You look so much younger and obviously, healthier! Congrats on your weight loss! Did you journal? I'm always looking for suggestions on how to stay on plan (I still have a weigh/way to go).

Sorry for the thread jack, but had to remember to ask!

Hurrah for chocolate! Like you, myknees, I often need a "hit"! Just looked at your stats, what can I say? WOW!

You two are my inspiration!

I also think the syrups have a bit of an 'off' taste. I didn't notice it until I started using Sweetzfree, which doesn't. Thanks for the suggestions!
