Hi, ladies! Sorry I haven't been around much. I have been traveling non-stop for work. I did weigh in this morning at 142.0... so I am still out of my comfort zone of 135-139.9. I will be in California all of next week. I am staying at a hotel with a mini-kitchen, so I will be able to store shakes and prep some healthy foods.
*hugs* |

Weight today 122. Down a pound from last Sunday.
It sure is good to see all of you in here maintaining and not letting your weight get out of control. This woe has let me maintain my weight the longest ever. I did lowfat before but always went back to the sugar and flour items after I got tired of eating that way. Now I mix lowfat and lowcarb and seem to be content, food wise and still able to maintain. A miracle for me. I have always been pudgy and overweight. What spurred me on was a remark made by one of my friends when she said: You are older now so what does it matter. That really got me fired up and determined not to be a fat little old lady.

Loretta, we all love fat little old ladies....but it doesn't mean we want to be one!
I am thinking of adjusting my 'goal' weight up to 125. I maintained for ages at around 128/30, then lowered my goal, this year, to 122. I did reach it briefly in June for my 60th birthday but I did it with a 2 week Kimkins Bootcamp. Since then I have fluctuated between 124 and 130. I find that I am very happy with both my weight and my size. I am happy eating as I do and exercising as often as I reasonably can. So I am asking myself, what is the point of that 122 figure? I don't want to ever feel "guilty" about my weight unnecessarily ever again. I need your input here ladies????? I don't think I am 'taking the easy option' but what do you all think?

Cindy I think you should just stay where you are
I find that I am very happy with both my weight and my size. I am happy eating as I do and exercising as often as I reasonably can. So important to be happy where we are. I would like to weigh in at my 120 goal but don't think I can sustain that weight and be happy with my eating. I probably would get frustrated and give it up all together. I am a little afraid to change my goal weight because that might make it too comfortable. I want to try to keep aiming for that 120. Does that make sense? |

![]() I think you are being very wise adjusting your goal to 125. It seems that may be your natural, healthy weight. One that is maintainable. You are happy there, so there is no reason to weigh less. You bring up some very important issues here. Thank you for posting. ![]() |

123.5 this week. Maybe I'll have to lower the amount of Flax bread I have been eating. That is the only thing different in my eating pattern for the past week or so. |

I weighed yesterday-the day I decided to call goal. But I'll post on here today & then will start posting on Thursdays so I'm true to my once a week weigh-in.
I weighed in at 127 lbs yesterday-the weight at which I decided to call goal. TOM is visiting but fortunately, no bloating issues. I think that might also have to do with cutting out gluten once & for all, too. Dyan |

Well, I weighed this morning after deciding to enter maintenance last Thursday & I am up a pound. That comes from having absolutely no structure in my life currently. But it also looks like 40 g of carbs might just be a tad much for me. Am also starting to notice that my cravings are more now than they had been. So I am dropping my carbs back down to 35 g & am still thinking about getting back down to 120 lbs so my jeans will fit better. But I also got out the tape measure today to see how I am doing with that even if the scale doesn't move-since I am doing weight training & cardio intervals. I just want my jeans to fit correctly. That's all. I realize that losing fat will help with that more than losing weight. And if the weight comes off in the process, so be it.
I was 127 lbs last Thursday. Today, I'm 128 lbs. I still say it's too much on a small frame that's only 5'1. But oh well. Dyan |

I'm going to join in here too.
About 120.4 this morning. Was into the 119's yesterday, but got hungry around 11 p.m. and had some peanut butter. |
