Thank you for the reminder about boiled eggs to help stave off a munch fest! Amazing how easy it is for me to forget some of the really good LC basics.
As a side note, a couple days ago I tried Chickenlady's "easy peel" boiled egg method from a fairly recent thread she started on that topic. It's probably the first time in my life I've made perfect boiled eggs (not over or under done even a little bit) AND they really were easy peel. YEAH!! Thanks again for the egg-minder. DG |

Hi,everyone,
Debbie, you look great in that photo!! Hope everything's OK with you, I wish I make it to 30 years with my husband looking like that! (12 years and counting ;-) ) Bella, i'm sorry for you, hope you can give and receive the comfort your family needs. 130 this week, the lowest I've seen ever... I'm less hungry lately, so maybe that is stabilizing my weight. Cheers, F. |

I'm at 117.4, no different from last week (117.6). My graph says I was between 116.6 and 118.0 on the first days of the months last year, so I'm pretty much back to there (even if I'd still like the number to be a bit less
). |

148.2. Funny - my body fat % seems to be drifting down ever so slightly even though I'm a pound or two up from where I'd like to be in a perfect world. The clothes are fitting nicely so I won't complain (much).

Woohoo, 118.2. I've been up around 120 most of the week. Probably that was mostly the aftereffects of TOM, but it was higher than usual and I was concerned. I've cut my snacking and increased my exercise the past few days.

Just a day or so late. 121 this am.
I live in Kentucky and we have been without power until yesterday from last Tuesday. An ordeal. My son lives near by and we all went to stay with and Aunt and Uncle of my DILs in Nashville. I have been way out of routine and eating a lot of fast food. Hope to get back on track this week. Many here still without power. |

Bella, so sorry to hear about your step-mom's passing. Please accept my condolances.
Weight today 121.5. Have been trying to get back into my routine. Many homes in the area still without power. It will be 2 weeks next Tuesday. A devastating storm for sure. Many out of state workers here and our little town has been very busy. Here in town the laudromats have been busy also. Last edited by Loretta V; 02-06-2009 at 05:58 PM.. |

Bella I assume you are back home now? Loretta that power outage sounds really scary. Hope life is starting to get back to normal?
I'm 150 today and was a high of 151.6 according to Mr. Eville (scale) this week. The average was 149.74. (I don't calculate this stuff myself, I just input my weight in Life Form which you old time LCers might remember!) Of course any upward movement of the scale like that is nerve racking to me at this stage of the game. A couple weeks ago I switched back to cream based BHRT hormones from oil based because the absorbtion didn't seem to be good enough with the oils. So I should be getting more progesterone than I was before which I think is causing some water retention. On the flip side, I can also tell the absorption is better because I'm sleeping like a log again! Now that I think I've got this figured out I'm not so worried. I will just back off the dose a little looking for the optimal balance of good sleep / no hot flashes but not tipping into the bloat department. My scale is a Tanita (sp). Anyone else have that kind? It also measures BF%. Of course I weigh first thing in the AM after my morning pee and eye brow plucking to get my lowest weight of the day. (well, I was kidding about the eye brow plucking but some of us are a little crazy about the scale and that includes me!) So the BF% reads higher due to not being hydrated. But I let Life Form do the math and calculate my fat pounds. I've actually lost of couple of those if Mr. Eville can be believed. OK - a way too long post for the Friday weigh in. Feels good to get the concern off my chest. The scariest pounds to gain are the ones where you have no idea why it's happening, which initially I didn't. (and I'm still not 100% sure!) If Mr. Eville is up because I know I ate way too much it's not as disconcerting. I just don't ever want to have to go through losing 50+ pounds again. (or more, as is often the case on subsequent rounds) Which remends me - Mac, congratulations on your fabulous work!!! 120 - WOW! Have a great week everyone! DG

Weighed in today, I always want to check again on a Sunday, my former weigh in day and my scale showed 119, unbelievable. I did it twice.
Dg you seem to be trying to do a balancing act there getting it all to work out for you and your body. I think you are doing great. Try not to sweat the small stuff. Eat right and exercise. Congrats for your continued success. |

118.8 today. Not bad, but I've been struggling; after the one-day reading of 118.2 last week my weight has been around 120 from the next day through most of the week. I've cut back on snacks and increased exercise and it's still hard to make a dent. And it's not carb creep either; basically I'm eating the exact same stuff I have been all year, and eating in a way that would normally make me lose any excess. And I just had my most recent thyroid bloodwork last week, it's fine. Well, I'll just keep at it!

I haven't been thinking about my weight, which, after years of scale addiction, is a good thing. I remembered to weigh myself today, and was at 117.2. It's been 117 point something for the last few weeks.

Congrats on that good scale news Cindy. 2 weeks without a weigh in would make me nervous, to think I used to weigh in once a month only. But I found that in that time span my weight might get 4 pounds over without a check on it. I like the weekly weigh in better.

Grrr -- it happened again. 118.8 yesterday, back up to 120.4 again this morning. I ate well and worked out yesterday. About the third time in the past two weeks I couldn't get below 120 for more than a day. Any guess what's going on? Previously I've had no trouble staying in the 117-118 range most of the time.
I have been working out with a new trainer at the gym, as the previous one left. But I can't imagine I've really put on two pounds of muscle; what we're doing doesn't seem all that different from what I did before. |
