I did finally get off the painkillers Loretta! Thanks for asking!
Today I weighed and I am down two pounds from Friday to 129, so it really was water, potty issues, etc etc. Funny how I always get the sneakng suspicion that my weight is on its way back up to the 200s whenever this happens ... when oh when will the mental catch up with reality??!! lol!!! |

Today is the end of two weeks for me for Body For Life. Here are my results:
Weight 2 weeks ago: 133 lbs Weight today: 133 lbs Disappointed? Absolutely not!!!!!!!! Here's why... Inches two weeks ago: (I took measurements based on the BMR Body Fat Calculator) Waist (at the navel)...36 inches Hips...39 inches Forearm...12 inches Wrist...6.0 inches Inches today: Waist (at the navel)...33 inches Hips...38 inches Forearm...12 inches Wrist...5.5 inches For a total of 4.5 inches lost in two weeks!!! Someone asked me yesterday if I was losing weight because they told me I was looking thinner. So I know I'm looking leaner now. Yea!! Congragulations to those of you who have been maintaining and to those who are struggling.Dyan |

That is great Dyan! I did this workout for about 8 months a few years ago and really got quite toned. Then life got in the way and I never got back to it.

Hi everyone, just back from my vacation and weighed in at 133 which made me very happy.
Eating in France is a dream as the portions are all so sensible and they don't serve a carb with every dish the way we do. Only the breakfasts can be tricky, but a natural yoghurt or some ham and cheese was almost always available. Also when a dish says a creamy sauce you can be sure that is means just that, not something loaded with flour. |

I bet you are feeling great too ![]() As for me, I finally weighed and am up on the scale by a couple lbs. I bet I was up even further because I have been under tremendous stress the past 2 weeks and haven't eaten much at all so I'd bet I've lost some. Please pray for us that this terrible situation is resolved next Tuesday. We are praying and just trying to make it through one more week. |

Well I've gone down some more to 127.75 even though I have dropped down to 4 workouts a week, taking out my most calorie-burning workout.
Goal Range: 130-135 Sep 05 ... 130.00 Sep 12 ... 128.50 Sep 21 ... 129.00 Sep 26 ... 127.75 And, despite some binges and social events every month, I have gone down 3.5 pounds in the last three months. Jun Average ... 132.00 Jul Average ... 131.75 Aug Average ... 129.25 Sep Average ... 128.75 So now I have to think about what I want to do further so as not to lose any more weight. All my new pants are quite loose and I do not like it at all. My options are: * add another 200 calories a day * go down to 3 workouts a week I'd really love to lose another workout, lol! but am going to try the calorie thing first, I think. I am thinking to add a whey protein shake (powder + glass of milk) starting tomorrow and see what happens next week! |

Hi, all,
I've been maintaining at a little below 134, with some fluctuations around TOM and one off-diet day, for my anniversary... I'm flying tomorrow to a conference and be back on friday, and I'm a bit nervous at what will be the effect on my weight of airplane food and others. I'm packing my sneakers to jog, as the weather will be nice in Chicago, so to offset some diet transgressions that are bound to happen. I'm able to do 12 minutes straight running now, and hope to get to 20 next week. I'm very excited!! Good job to all of you!! F. |

I hope you can find the right tweak to be able to hold steady, TaDa. I was in a similar position about three years ago, trying to avoid going below 110. I managed to spend most of the following year around 113/114, but then about two years ago I had a very stressful time combined with a couple of months away from home, went up to 118 and have never managed to get back down again
. 117.2 this morning.Fviegas, have a good trip. |

Maintainance is strange isn't it? I sometimes think it is more a state of mind than a specific weight or measurement.
If one feels 'comfortable' with oneself, then all is well and one is maintaining. Out of that 'comfort zone' is a worrying place. I am happy to say I am still comfortable at 133. AND I got back to the gym today, that makes me happy too. |

Hi everybody, had a busy day! 117.6 this morning, right in range.
I feel like I've been hungry a lot of the time since I got my dog ... I guess walking at least 75 minutes a day plus more general activity and less time to rest will do that to you, even though my formal workouts are more like 3-4 times a week rather than 5-6. I've been eating lots of nuts and concerned about that, since I haven't figured out how to cook/eat more during regular meals (the hungries sort of sneak up in between). But I guess the calorie level is OK since my weight remains quite stable. |

Did not post yesterday. My weigh yesterday was 121.6. Today it is 122. I have not been working out this week I have a head cold which I think turned into a sinus infection. I have had this pounding headache with sinus congestion for about 5 days now. I was trying to ride it out but it is not improving. Anyhow... I guess 121.6 is my number.

I am down a couple of the lbs I was up but TOM is also in town so hopefully I'll be back to normal once it is gone. Still under extream stress and we were so hopeful it would have been over yesterday but still no resolution. We should find out something today.

My weight is down again, to 126.375, a loss of over a pound this week and I am just really surprised. This past week I added in a 200 calorie / 13 net carb addition in an attempt to keep my weight from dropping further. The week prior to that I had taken out one (the most strenuous) of my 5 workouts ..
Goal Range: 130-135 Jun Average ... 132.00 Jul Average ... 131.75 Aug Average ... 129.25 Sep Average ... 128.75 Today ... Oct 03 ... 126.37 I made a big point of not weighing myself in between Friday weigh-ins this week and so now I am just sitting here unsure of what to do next. I really was sure I would not have had any kind of big drop and well, at this stage of the game, 1.25 pounds in a single week is a big drop. Time for an additional change. I am thinking of dropping to three workouts a week. When I dropped workout #5, my other four workouts became just much higher intensity workouts, so maybe, in effect, I've changed nothing? If I can be at this level of food and exercise with the occasional splurge (the next change, I guess if my weight keeps dropping), I will be at a very happy maintenance place. I am unhappy that my weight has fallen below 128 though. I think I like that weight and may change "goal weight range" to 128-133. Such a bizarre problem to have. |

I'm up a pound from last Friday (118.2 this morning), but when I did my first of the month weight it was down (116.6), so I don't think there's any real change going on. I was really thirsty yesterday, so I think this is just my body grabbing some more water pre-TOM.
TaDa, it seems very odd, doesn't it, after struggling for so long to lose weight, that it's sometimes almost as hard not to lose any more . Good luck with your tweaks . |

It's a sort of familiar effect to me now, that I get a day or two when I'm really thirsty, and drink lots of water (and my weight goes up a pound or two) then after another day or two, there'll be a spell where I'm not thirsty, don't drink much, but hit the bathroom all day, and the weight goes down again. I don't get bothered by it - but I still prefer seeing the numbers going down

Ta Da how are your feeling health wise? That would be the important issue. As long as you feel ok and don't have any problems just wait and see. I'm sure your weight will stablize.
Won 1st place in the 5 K in my age group (65-69) My oldest son won 2nd place in his age group. My weight is up to 122.5 but I can name the culprits. Just overeating the wrong foods. Will get back to routine now that company is gone and things are more normal. Congrats!!!! |

I was up yesterday to 123.2. It is has been the norm for me during the week I do not take any BC pills. It still makes me
