Cool! I'll be in PEI too, for two days. In NS I'll be in Halifax, Cape Breton Island, and various points in between. I'm really looking forward to it!

Prairie have a great time in N S, Will you also be packing that scale? Just curious. Congrats on your continued maintaining success.

WTG Bella on staying there at your 136. Cindy WTG on that 131 and good work Stargazy on that 125.8.

Gained 2 pounds on vacation to the Gulf Shores of ALa, but I sure enjoyed the food. Lots of seafood available. Ate some bread, french fries and ice cream several times. I thought for sure my weight increase would have been more. But I'll take the 2 pounds. Now back to basics.

Loretta, only 2 lbs, that is just wonderful, I can do that over a crazy weekend, at least I did in the old days.

So glad you had a good time, the lord knows, you deserve it.

Happy vacations to all.

Thanks Cindy. It is good to be home too. My first stop was DH's grave. I thanked him for my safe travels. I missed him several times while I was vacationing.

No, no scale -- since I'm only taking one small suitcase on my tour that would be well over the border into insanity! To bring it here I just had to put it in the car. But I'll be hunting down whatever fitness facilities are in the hotels, and I'm hoping I'll encounter one or two scales along the way.

I'm looking forward to lots of fresh seafood....

oops ... forgot to post my weight on Friday ... was 132.25 which is just fine (lighter today though) ... no, actually, it is spectacular, like the rest I am on vacation (kinda) at my parents beach house and I always mess up here and start binge-eating ... well the last 5 years on Atkins anyhow ... So far, 10 days, no bingeing!! Woot!!!!!! and I am maintaining .. lol! I did bring a scale too, lol!! This one is 3.25 pounds lighter than my scale at home, so I add that amount to thee reading to come up with a weigh-in number

Prairie, enjoy a scale-free holiday!! I envy you the trip!!!!

I'm 126.3 this week. I gained quite a bit after the Fourth of July, but am very grateful that most of it disappeared fairly quickly!

Up a half pound to 132.75 .. still in ok territory .. still trying to figure out this maintenance thing .. but I have stayed in the right range for 6+ weeks without fail, so that is a good thing!

Congrats Stargazey .. very cool that the excess came right off! Love that!

Wonderful job of maintaining.

Hi to Ailuros!!! So glad to have another maintainer in here. Just goes to prove that it can be done.

Will be back on Sunday with my numbers. Glad to see this thread of weekly weigh in continuing and gaining maintainers

Back today, Sunday.

Weight 122.5. I'll take that. Sure would like to try to get to 120 again and stay there. Wonder what it will take? What should I let go of? Just pondering.

Just got back from my trip last night. I was worried because I wasn't able to exercise as much as I'd like after the first few days (lots of walking and activity, though) -- 116.6 this morning! Despite eating my weight in peanuts while traveling yesterday.

I ate plenty, though I really worked at keeping on plan -- just had one very small ice cream (asked for a child's portion) and a few bites of bread or dessert here and there. Lots of bacon and eggs! The only thing that was markedly different from my usual way of eating is that I had way less dairy; just cream in my coffee and a very small amount of cheese. No Greek yogurt or cottage cheese, both of which I have often at home (and yes, I really missed them). Anyway, that's food for thought. When I gained on my trip in May I was eating a lot of those things.

Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island were gorgeous -- I highly recommend a visit! I'm having a little fantasy about retiring there one day. Or at least returning sometime soon.

Wow! Prairieprof!!!! That is really awesome!!!!!!!!! How interesting about the dairy!! I am finding things similiar to you - that I somehow have taught myself how to eat a little badly, maybe slack a little on the exercise at times but not affect my weight, or wol, or anything ... I am so glad for you!!!!!!!

Thanks for the thumbsup on Nova Scotia and PEI ... I'd actually consider a trip there in August ... I haven't organized my family's summer vacation yet! I'd love any tips!! We'd take the overnight ferry from Maine if we went ..

Thanks TaDa! I'm up 2 pounds this morning, though. I did think my body looked a little puffier right after breakfast yesterday, at which I had the Greek yogurt. . . and I was pretty sedentary except for a half hour of exercise.

I'd be happy to talk about NS (though I didn't take the ferry) -- feel free to PM me, though I probably won't be able to get back to you until the weekend!

My FIL lived on Prince Edward Island as a boy for about 8 years, leaving when he was 12.

He is 93 in a few days and he took a cruise from the UK, in his 90th year, because the ship stopped at PE for one day and he wanted to go back there. We arranged for him to have a car and driver and he had a wonderful day I believe. Incredible!

Well done on the holiday Prairie.

118.8 this morning. It's under my "black line" of 8 1/2 stone, but only just! I'm keeping my carbs down for now to see if I can get back down to my comfort zone.

Hi, may I join you?
I have finally reached maintenance (give or take a pound), so I'm interested on
keeping on track this time, and this is a good way to be "accountable".
So here is my weight today: 138.6
Good luck to all of you.

fviegas so nice to have another maintainer join in.

Very good job Prairie considering your wonderful vacation. WTG!!!

Ta Da I like the way you have listed your weights for the past several weeks. Good idea, but why one day with 2 weights? Just curious.

What a great group of maintainers.

heh heh! because I am silly and made a mistake I will correct for next weigh-in though - one of those should read July 4!! I am listing it just for my own benefit really ... I'll shorten the list to month averages soon, I think!

I am just trying to maintain, not fall into the trap of always dieting for weightloss, so this kinda helps me realize that I am in "the zone" ... even when sometimes it is up and sometimes it is down a bit.

Good work everybody. I'm not going to post a weight today, as my scale seems a little wonky. Let's just say I'm not as low as a few days ago but definitely in the range. TaDa, I like your idea of a goal range -- it does relieve the stress of being above or hoping to be below one particular number.

So nice to meet you Ta Da. Nice to see what the others look like. I like your idea of being in the "zone" and not trying to achieve weight loss. A different way of thinking about maintaining.

Good job Cindy. Do your find your new Intuitive eating satisifying?

122 today for me. Staying in my "zone".

Thanks PP and Loretta ... but the credit really goes to Dr. A. In Atkins, he says on Maintenance that you should go "back to induction" when you have gained 5 lbs over your goal weight ... I took this to mean that fluctuating within those 5 lbs is perfectly normal .. and it made more sense to me as a woman with water weight fluctuation, etc ...

Maybe I took it a little too literally, lol!! but taking the concept of "weightloss" out of my vocabulary is probably very good for my mental health, ya know! I mean, heck, we're here at goal, right??!!!!

Well ladies, I went back on induction today as my weight has gone up by 5-7 lbs.
So before it gets out of control, here I am with my salads and protein!
I have to admit I am not thrilled, but I will do it cause the alternative is worse.
Have any of you had to go back to plan A like this?
