Hi Barb and all who are checking in.
The surgery went fine except that the surgeon had to remove more colon than anticipated. The lesions were further apart than appeared at first. The good news is that there is NO active cancer but one of the lesions had severe atypical cells. We were in the hospital for 8 days. Had to get heart rhythm straightened out since he was not taking his usual rx. John is really doing quite well all things considered. Up using walker here at home. He needs to get his strength back. Incision has some reddness so he is taking antibiotics. Thanks for the prayers. They sure do help. Barb will school soon be out? How are you doing at staying at your goal weight? I seem to be able to keep within a pound or 2 just by staying on course and getting that exercise in. to all. We need to drum up some business here. I bet there are lots of maintainers out that that want to share advice.

Thanks for letting us know Loretta. Be sure he takes it easy and don't rush that recovery. The fish will wait!
I'm up a little from my goal from 125 to about 130. I refuse to weigh myself but I can tell! I get sloppy with what I eat from time to time and need to get more exercise. We are out of school May 19 with graduation that weekend. Any maintainers - any ideas on how to keep weight within limits? Loretta, I'm so Glad everything is going well for you and DH and that surgery is behind you. It's great to have you back with us too.
Barb, LOL If I knew the answer to that question, I wouldn't have this 14 extra lbs on me. I was doing really great until I quit smoking. Oh well, what will be, will be. |
