Calling Ginny.......

Hey, any damage at your place and how are you doing?

I can't believe that a tornado would hit a State twice like that. The pictures they show are terrible.

Hey gang,

All's well here! At work we had some pretty good wind and rain, but no damage at our plant. The plant in Goodlettesville got hit from what I've heard, but no deaths there that I'm aware of. At the house DH said it got windy and rainy, but nothing severe. The topography generally pushes the nasty stuff either north or south of our little place.

I did hear about 2-3" hail in some areas like Murfreesboro & Chapel Hill, and up east of Nashville really got hit bad. Last night I heard there were 10 deaths due to the storms.

Haven't looked at the forecast for today, but looks like it will be a bit cooler and nice...we'll see what happens!

Thanks y'all for the concern!

Hi to you all

Happy to hear that all is well there for you in Tn Ginny. Tenn seems to be the worst hit state for both storms, the one about a week ago and the ones yesterday. Yesterday we had some hail (about 1") and strong thunderstorms with heavy rain, but not much else. The weather sure has cooled off down to 48º this morning. Glad to hear that you are enjoying that new Weider workout. I have been trying to pick up the pace with my jogging. DS want's me to enter a 5K race with him. I have to push myself.

We had company all week. DD from Texas and her DH and then her son from Tn came up for 2 of those days. Got the boat launched and docked now at our dock since the lake water has come up. Had fresh Crappie for supper last night. Dh has been in his glory out there fishing. Company went home Friday morning. "Thank God and Greyhound they're gone." It is so nice to get our home back to ourselves.

Susun you know the plan so it will be easy for you to get back into the routine. We KNOW you can do it!!. Glad that the family will be together for some time and glad to hear that things are improving even though it is a slow process. Sometimes we have a tendency to want things to "hurry" back to normal (whatever that is).

Yes Linda, what did the doc have to say? Did you BUY an RV? How is that new range working out for you? I sure do enjoy my coffee too. Have you tried it cold with some Davinci Vanilla flavored syrup and cream. It is a real treat. My DS got me hooked on that.

Liz I sure don't count carbs and I usually eat the same foods on certain days.
My downfall is processed nuts if they happened to be around. This past week I have been so hungry. WHY?? is that. I do make a lot of my own foods, ie almond thin crackers, mock mashed pot, cabbage noodles, Poppyseed salad drsg., etc.

Barb sounds like you have that summer vacation all planned out. that will be great to see your DD graudate. Where will she locate after school? Did I miss that part. Will you mom go with to the graduation? She will be one proud grannie.

Monday we see the surgeons nurse to get out final instructions and prep rx, an antibiotic, (I think) and some "go" juice. I am getting nervous the closer it gets. Glad DH is getting some quality fishing time in. He is most often a good patient and will do what he can to help himself, EXCEPT he is smoking cigars, about 3 a day. I would imagine that he needs that comfort at a time like this.

to all whether or not you need some. An extra to those that really need them.

Glad to hear that you two are safe and sound. Well, I don't know about "sound" or maybe "normal". ??

Loretta, DD is looking at the NW - especially the Seattle area. She had a real good interview in the Tacoma area. I'm really excited about you training for a 5K.

Just relax and take it easy before that surgery. It will go ok. We all have a tendency to worry too much.

Susan, Loretta is right - she's always right! You know what to do and the plan. We are here to support you.

Mutter, mutter, grumble, grumble. I looked out the upstairs window and saw the Subaru parking lights were on. DH checked them but the switch said OFF. I hope to hell we aren't going to have any problems with this brand new car. Can't take it to the dealer until Monday. HA!! I hope the battery doesn't die.

Glad you and yours are fine and those nasty storms missed you,Ginny. My gosh!! I'm watching the news now and seeing all the destruction in Tenn.

This season has been off to a terrible start. I hope those nasty storms end soon so we can all have a peaceful spring and summer.

Loretta, it's good that you are OK too..
on the company leaving and the fish biting. Your DH must be ecstatic!

Range is working well for electric. No RV yet. WE are still looking.

New doctors are great and we are working well on this together.

Hope this finds all of our MVM's happy and doing well.
