Week of the 13th for Maintainers

Hey y'all,

It's Hump Day and figured I better get this started before we have the weekend post!

Back to cooler weather here, but with the gorgeous weekend we had I know the end of winter is in sight. Today gives us 60's and sunny, but still cold at night. I'll sure be glad when we can TURN OFF THE HEAT in the house and gh.

Last night I had to stop and air up a tire (rear one, fortunately) so today DH will look at it and find out if it needs patched, a new valve stem or a new tire. Sure hope it's an easy fix, and a cheap one. Glad I noticed it or DH may have had to come rescue me!

Gonna fill up the tank today, gas prices are going up again..... I'm trying to figure out with all the HUGE PROFIT oil companies are bringing in why they are gouging again.

If this keeps up, we'll really be home-bodies and there will be NO extra events for us.

Gosh, it seems that almost no one has time or the interest to get here anymore. How sad.

Not much going on in my world. Our new range is in and we will pick it up tomorrow. Tonight DH is going to try cutting 1/4 inch or so out of the corian to make it fit. Keep your fingers crossed gang.

Ginny, hope that tire just needed a new stem and not replacing.
Gas prices today went up two cents in less than an hour on one station that I passed. Sheesh. At 1:30 it was $2.47 and when I came back from the grocery store an hour later it was up to $2.49

Life must be getting in the way for everyone?

I was able to gas up my truck yesterday for 2.26, and got the van done for that same amount on Wednesday. I think the tire is fixed, DH found a small staple type thingy in the tire and patched it... handy guy to have around

We're hoping that's all she needs.

Hope all goes well putting in the new range! I know some people that have the slick top stoves and really like them. Since I prefer cooking with gas, that's a critter I won't ever have. What I'd really like would be a gas stove top and electric oven, I think e-ovens heat better.

Ginny, I would kill for a gas range but out here in the country we don't get it. Just propane and DH won't put a tank in. Oh well, I don't cook nearly as much as I used to.

Glad you got the tire fixed. Yeah, these handy men are good to have around.
