Morning to all.....

Good to hear from you again Liz and also a good check-in with Loretta.

Linda, is it just that region that has more Irish, etc. because you always have a big parade, etc. and we don't have anything here!! Sounds like it would send chills right up your spine. I've only seen things on TV, never in person.

Liz, sounds like a difficult time but you have it under control. Is it your daughter's choice to keep the baby? With medical advances now days, there is a lot that can be done for kiddos with Downs and they can lead very healthy and productives lives.

Loretta, I will put together some information for you on Autism when I get look through the notebook and always books I picked up. It's really a growing field and so much that can be done for parents for support. It's EARLY intervention that's the key.

Ginny, we are close to 70 ourselves but NOT good. We are all ready having wild fires and extremely dry. The snow is melting the glaciers I noticed yesterday on my way back home. There was a big one near a small town about 100 miles from here that called out all of the local fire departments.

Have a good one and DON"T touch that sugar!!

Whew.

Busy weekend with the show, and we're both glad it's done...but DH is REALLY glad since he busted his tail all week. We had some plants sell at the society's table, so a check will be coming to us soon. Now it's back to normal life until later this month when there's our first orchid show of the season. We will not be exhibiting, but will be involved with the society stuff some.

Loretta, sure do hope the Dr can give your DH some good, viable options. I know you're pretty worried over it and I'm sure he is too. Glad you enjoyed helping with the church decoration... did you give anything up for Lent?

Linda, I see you're still pretty busy. I bet those bagpipes send chills. I've never heard them live before. Watching kids play sports can really be a hoot. I reckon now that the gkids are a little older, there will be much more for you to go and see! We're back in the 40's now, but at least we know spring is getting close!

Liz, glad to see you again! Good for you giving your worries up to God, He's the one who can handle them. How is your younger DD coping with all this? I sure hope the amnio gives you good results when everything comes back.

Hi and to Julie and Susan......check in when you have a chance!

Hi everyone,

Been running all over the state for the past day or so enjoying the nice sunny weather. It's still cold but should be up near 60 by the weekend.

I went to put a ham in the oven upstairs today and the oven appears DEAD. UGH. Fortunately we have a stove in the basement so it's cooking now.
Ran to several places to look at replacements but just can't afford to replace it with a Dacor. They run 6-7 thousand. I did find one around a thousand at a small appliance shop here in town. Now I'm waiting for DH to come home and go look at it again.

Barb, LMAO NO they aren't at all religious. They just like to party hardy, and boy do they ever. Friday, Sat. and Sunday of the parade weekend are nothing but one long, beer drinking party. Those fire fighters and cops from NYC, Philadelphia, Rochester etc sure know how to cut loose.

HA, here I was bragging that it will get up to about 60 and you are basking in 70 degree heaven.

Ginny, We hope you took lots of pictures at the Orchid show cause we want some eye candy. You must be proud to be able to sell some wonderful plants. to you and your DH for your green thumbs.
How is the house hunting going?

Oh Loretta, it's so good to see you posting again. My heart goes out to you and your DH. He has quite a decision to make. My mom had 1/3 of her Colon removed at age 79 and did just fine.

Lovely pictures of your Church and alter. The decorations are simply elegant.

Pat, my heart continues to go out to you and your DD. Bi polar is a very difficult disease to deal with , but for the sake of your health, try to let it go. She is an adult and you can do nothing. Believe me, I'm in the same place with my DD.

Susan, continued

Julie, what's up with you?

Guess I better stick my head in here so you know I'm alive!

Linda, that oven might just need an element. Ours just went out about a month ago and they aren't that expensive to replace.

Ginny, I want to come to the Orchid show! I finally ended up giving up control them. I had one bloom out of 8 plants in what, over 2 years. I'll stick to my African Violets.

Barb, wild fires already? Oh my, what will this summer bring? The fires can't be good for your asthma either.

Liz, it was sure nice of you to drop in. Life sure sucks sometimes huh? The stress must be awful. Is your DD living with you? Keep you in our thoughts and check in often. We miss you.

I'm going for that gastric emptying test in the morning and an endoscopy on Thursday. A few of my blood tests came back on the high side and have no idea what that means.
My bra was off by 1:00 today. Boy, that doc needs to find an answer to this before TShirt weather. LOL I can't run around with no bra during the warmer days. Even with a sweatshirt on...welll let's not get into that ugly thought.

The asthma is improving each day. I actually could even sing in church this last weekend. That's a good sign. Coughing is less and less. I think I'll live.
Aren't ya sorry you asked Linda?
