Hey all,
Busy week, Lawn and Garden show this weekend! DH has spent a lot of time up there with the orchid society display and sales, but when I go it will be playtime and not work. We had a couple gorgeous days here, @ 70 and sunny. It's cooled off a bit, but that's what happens this time of year. Not much new going on but handing out to those who need 'em and even some who don't ![]() |

Hello all
Just thought I'd pass by to say hello. I'm maintaining around 134 lbs. But our annual Disney World trip is coming up and a Funnel Cake has been calling out to me, I'm not sure I'm gonna answer, but I may just cave. Barb do you volunteer for autistic children? I just donated $$$ My DD who was diagnosed a year ago with Bi-polar has gotten herself pregnant. She had just decided to go back on meds after being drug free for 6 months when she found out. She had taken two Risperdol - anti physichotics and now her tests came back that her baby may have down syndrome It just seems to go from bad to worse. She just had the amnio centises on Monday, Feb 28th and they said these tests r 99.9% accurate. Anyhow, it's so sad. Poor baby.Anyhow, I think of you all often and every once in a while I get an e-mail from Gynny and I smile thinking of you all. Life seems to have gotten in my way. Well, this was just a fly by. Here's hoping I can check in more often. Take care ya'll and have a great weekend. |

Hi everyone, It sure has been quiet around here and even nothing much going on with the rest of the ML. Odd.
Blizzard left us with 9" of the white stuff and I was just stuck in the house all day yesterday. I did make more of those darn addicting Jalapeņo peppers. ![]() Barb, enjoy the conference. Ginny, rub it in. Geezzz 70 degrees? <sigh> Lots of home and garden shows this time of the year to enjoy. We have several coming up next weekend. Enjoy buying orchids. We will want pictures. eculmone Sorry to hear about your poor daughter and the baby. Very Tragic. Don't cave into that funnel cake calling. It's not worth it. Waving to Loretta, Julie and lurkers. to Susan and those who need them. |

Running around like crazy today. First it was the last indoor soccer game for my grand kids, then the Annual St. Pat's day parade and now post parade parties. We try to catch the Philadelphia Emerald Society's Pipe Band their blind piper, Chip. He is absolutely astounding!! It gives people chills and he has them dancing on the tables.
Back tomorrow. |

Good a.m. my long lost friends. It's 4:20 a.m. on Sunday and I can't sleep. I hope this finds you all in good health. It's been so long for me. My Vertigo and nausea subsided with my new meds "Domperidone". Apparently with MS the digestive system goes awal eventually. I can burp better then any man. It's a small price to pay.
I've become very religous lately with so many hardships I've had to give it up to God b/c it's just too much to handle. DD having BiPolar, finding out she is pregnant, unable to financially care for herself (she has the $ just can't get her schitt together - bp can do that), now finding out my G-child may be a Down Syndrome baby? Well, I've been reading scriptures and daily prayer and I'm falling in love with My God again... Anyhow the ultra sound showed she is 19 weeks and she has a little man in her belly. I'm not sure if Children's aid will take her child from her if she can't even care for herself... We will have to see when we cross that bridge. All I can do is nurture her for now. She is devestated with so much in her life. The amnio centises results should be conclusive and we will all know this little guys fate soon enough I brought her for a holistic spa facial on Saturday. It was all Asian type decor; red walls, budda statues, enya music, trickling water feature. They used all types of essential oils messaged and exfoliated her face. Messaged her head, neck, face, shoulders, arms and did some foot reflexology. My DD cried when she came out and hugged me hard. She said it was the most amazing and relaxed feeling she has EVER had. It was $60 for an hour and she said it was worth $200 EASY. It was so relaxing and her tummy was soar from the needle and her life is in turmoil with her raging hormones and not being able to be medicated while pregnant. I've done alot of reading and research and stress can trigger episodes. They use to hospitalize BiPolar patients when they became pregnant b/c the disease gets so intense and can become fatal to both mother and child. God is truly in my life right now. And I PRAY and believe she is in his arms and no matter what happens I have to believe God has a plan. Grace, peace and good health to you all on this first Sunday of Lent. Liz ![]() |

Saying hi to all on my weekly check in.
Liz good to hear from you, but so sad to hear about your DD and all of her problems and now another life on board. Does she currently live with you or live by herself. We had my DH's daughter, bi polar also, live with us for a while last summer and we could just not handle the situation and filed for state guardianship. One of her sons came to her rescue and took her to live by him. Not sure of what is going on there now for her. She is also drug and alcohol dependant. Isn't it nice that God is always waiting for us and there when we return. Well, not good news on Dh's colonoscopy. Mutliple neoplastic masses. Good news is that they are non invasive and the ct scan of the abd was normal. But I guess it may need surgical intervention or a blockage may occur. We have an appointment on March 14 with a surgeon to discuss options. DH is not a very good surgical risk (age, heart, respiratory problems,) but it can be done. Lots of going on here too.Ginny I guess that suburbia has found you. We have similar problem here in our corner of the world. Lots of new people have moved into the area. Most of them though are "summer" visitors. But they sure bring a lot of mess, loose dogs, etc etc. with them. Hope you found the right spot in the country for your kids and pups. We have a real headache here on holiday weekends. We are so used to our privacy and like it that way. Hope you are enjoying the lawn and garden show this weekend. Linda that parade sounds so lively. I know your whole family will enjoy that. Will you be able to go with the DGKids to the parade? Hope the snow is melting off and you can get around. I seem to have crept up 2 pounds and they want to stay. I'll be glad to get out in the yard again soon and work some of that off. Barb hope you are getting some good information at that workshop this weekend. Bet it was not boring at all. Sure hope it covered some help for the parents of those kids. I really believe that they have a lifetime committment to an autistic child. Did you get any good handouts or web sites to visit? I sure would like to hear about them. Hey to Julie and Susun. to you and to our lurkers, Zip, Jackie, Shawneesouix. Peace and contentment be yours. Some pictures of our church decorated for Lent. I helped decorate and have enjoyed being a part of it. ![]() ![]() ![]() I hemmed up the purple cloths and those branches are from our burning bush that we trimmed last fall. Some of the clay pots were my discards. You are all in my thoughts and seem to stay with me. Happy Maintaining for another week.
