It is freezing cold here in upstate NY and will stay cold all week. This morning it was only 8 degrees outside.

Ginny, we are anxiously awaiting news on why you are thinking of moving. Did we all miss a post or something

Barb, My gosh, you mean those people are going to lose their jobs? Just how many all together will be bumped back or out entirely? How sad.

I am trying to increase the carbs a bit to see if it helps. If I can just get 7 or 8 of these lbs off, I'll be happy. I do know that when I was way down there, my face looked too thin.

Julie, The pred is actually causing you a weight gain? I've taken it many times, and never had a problem. It must just be fluid retention and not fat.

Loretta, how did your DH make out with his colonoscopy?

I'm here......better late than never!

I've heard of many gaining big time on pred. -- maybe some metabolism thingy.

Had such a busy day -- intake meetings on new kiddos with special needs. One is a 19 yr. old with a 15yr. old boyfriend. She will be a senior and he a freshman. We will have to watch our liability I guess, is exchanging spit - rape? Ok -- if she gets pregnant, maybe it's a miraculous birth. Oh, I know I'm gross!

I'm so happy to return to regular programming......... upsetting my routine at my age is not good.

Linda, the Dr. said some people react different to Prednisone. All that 5#s is off again today. Whew! Hard on the system gaining 5, then losing 5 all within a week. Back today for an Xray. Yep, asthma still there....gee, I could've told them that. So this time a steroid inhaler. Also found a hazing on my upper lung. Damn if it's not one thing more to worry about it's another. I go back in a month for another Xray to check that out.

8°??? Oh that's cold. Keep it girl. Stay inside so your lungs don't start in.

Barb, I don't know how you do it with that job of yours. You must be some special lady!

Ok Ginny, come forth with info. What's going on with you and DH?

Guess hazing was the wrong word Barb. How about hazy or cloudiness.
