Bloody Tuesday.....

Got ya' I knew I would get everyone to open THIS thread!

Have been seeing so many little calves and lambs in the fields lately - Spring has sprung? Always before a BIG Spring -Winter storm and they have to go to protect them.

Also, tonight at the school board meeting, some will be cut from their jobs -- that's why the heading ~~ Bloody Tuesday! It's always at this time of the year and so much controversy. Now on the other hand, I have toooooo much job and have been asking for more help for next year. Should be a late night!

I agree with you Ginny, I like wearing skirts and shorts if my legs and arms are tan enough. I've been doing the sun-less stuff the last year or so to get started because of the dangers of sun damage. I'm old enough, I don't need to look any older!

Waving to everyone as I trot off to work......

Hey gang,

Popping in for a quick howdy.

Barb, does the sunless tanning stay on or gradually wash off? I remember way back when after it first came out if you used it you looked ORANGE! And it would get on your clothes too I haven't been to a tanning bed in years, I love them but don't have the time. I never try to get too dark, just enough of a base to where I don't burn... good ol' German blood, I'll burn to a crisp if I'm not careful!

L8r y'all,

Morning my friends,

Well Barb, it looks like your job is secure then. Do you stand up and argue your needs or sit quietly in the corner and pray for help? Hmmm let's see...our Barb, what would she do? STAND UP AND SCREAM! Just kidding ya. Hope all goes well tonight.

Ginny, I use the tanning stuff sometimes. I'm German too and legs look like rolled up sheets. If I'm not going on vacation or wearing shorts, I forget it. Growing up--to in my late 30's my favorite thing to do was lay out in the sun. Mind you our temps around here hardly hit much over 80°. I love the heat and it's so relaxing. Gave that up as soon as I was told how much damage I was doing to my skin and aging it. I use sunblock on my face but not usually anywhere else unless I'll be sitting out in it, like at a ball game or something.

Need to get dressed and get to my bowling league. Have a good day everyone.

Hi gang,

LOL Ginny, I have dead fish white legs too and use Nutrogena sunless tanning stuff if I think about it. It doesn't look orange a bit and lasts forever if you use it every couple of days
.
Sandals and capris will look good even without stockings. So will long flowing skirts and sandals. I see a lot of that around here except for the female lawyers. They look really uncomfortable..

Barb, do you think you will ever get any help in that job? I sincerely hope so. You of all people NEED it.
Keep us posted.
Take a picture or two of the baby calves and sheep if you can. I bet they are adorable.

Julie, LOL I'm German, Irish, French, American Indian and still have ghost white legs. I got to thinking at my age, the sun can't do too much damage. Maybe I'll give it a try this summer. Who the heck cares?

By the way, how is that stomach of yours doing? Has really watching the carbs helped?

Hi to Loretta, Susan and everyone.

Linda, you know some days I feel better wo the carbs and others it just plain doesn't matter. I have been fooling around with foods for so long now, I'm beginning to believe it doesn't have anything to do with it. Maybe just stress. Who knows.

LOL I'm half German, 1/4 Irish, 1/8 Scotch and 1/8 French. Now is that all American or what? DH is 100% German. My poor kids!
