Just starting us off for the day. Didn't get enough sleep so I'm a tad cranky and will caffeinate myself accordingly before any face to face human contact. Will be back later........ |

Good Morning Ginny and our Gang that follows,
It is a gorgeous day out there, blue skies and SUNNY. Looks great thru the window, just a slight dusting down but frozen to the ground. Yikes, hope it warms up later for my WALK. Missed it yesterday a cold and dull day...I took a day of rest. The tub soak helped the back muscles, not as bad today.Got Mega-Chores to do today, so hopefully that will burn off some excess energy. Waving a special Saturday to Y'all. ![]() |

Hi to all of you.
Barb in answer to yesterday's questions. The peaches are canned, either carb clever (DelMonte) or regular WM peaches canned in splenda. DH and I have about given up on fresh fruit. Most of it does not taste as it should. We have gone over to canned fruit for the most part. I am tired of wasting $$$ on fruit that tastes like fiber only. Too bad the store does not let you sample it before you buy. Hog jowl is something Dh got me started on and the fat content is way up there. I sometimes use it in making my cabbage soup for the flavor. I like to fry it up crisp and put it on my fried egg. Susun glad the tub soak helped ease those tired muscles of yours. You sure have been sounding full of spirit and Go lately. I do think that exercise helps ones spirits a lot. Ginny will the Vikings be playing this weekend? Enjoy your weekend off. Hope that fuel pump is working now. Julie hope those roads have cleared off by now so you can get out to church. Our church has not put out its name tree for gifts yet. Maybe today. You are sure getting your $$$ worth out of that bike. Linda I wonder why that date you made you goal has escaped you? Not sure how I have it etched it on my brain either. SATURDAY'S MAINTAINER MENU
Won't be on tomorrow until late in the day. You'all have a great weekend, enjoy your days off (you employeed guys) and you retired guys do something special for yourself.

Evening everyone, I'm in the middle of a good program about the good things happening in Iraq so this will be brief.
Tonight and tomorrow we are in for some snow. Don't know how much we will get yet but 60 miles north of us in Syracuse, they got 21". Lordy, I hope the power stays on. We NEED to get a gas ( propane) fire place to heat this place and give us a bit of light when we lose power.. LOL Loretta, I don't have a clue as to why I forgot the exact date but I know it was in mid Sept. some time between the 12 and the 18. My menu for today Brunch Low carb spinach quiche home made sausage coffee, cream Snacks Cheddar/horseradish on almond crisps green tea 100 oz of water Dinner Pork Roast with guar gum gravy asparagus wilted greens salad with Olive oil and vinegar. Coffee, cream PM glass of Chablis and some Buffalo wings |

Me again.....
I'm in a better mood now Got in a little nap this early evening so I'm not so tired. This morning we took Nitro and Sheyshey to the dr for their annual visit. We were telling the doc about Sheyshey's 2 seizures we had witnessed so they could make whatever notes they needed and ask whatever ??s they had. When the doc left the exam room, we thought Sheyshey started going into a seizure. It was one, and I poked my head out the door to let them know. They came back with a valium shot which brought her right out of it (one seriously looped dog for a bit!) and she's been fine ever since. We had blood work done, and it's all normal, so we know the seizures are idiopathic and not related to a physical problem (liver, kidneys, blood sugar etc). The doc thinks the stress of the vet visit brought this last one on. We will not need to medicate her (or us) unless her seizures become frequent as the meds have side effects that would be more detrimental than the meds helpful right now. So, we just roll with it and do what we've been doing. Sheyshey doesn't seem to have any ill effects from seizing, no fear or physical problems after one, so she may not remember having one. During all this, Nitro was pretty unconcerned (they are very close being from the same litter and raised together) and I do trust animal instinct, so we're not going to go off the deep end here. This afternoon, DH helped DR's stepson fix his car, and then we got in some kitchen table visiting which was really nice. DR and his DW live 5 hours away, but the DSS lives about 30 minutes from us, so it was much better for him to come here than go home to fix it. Plus, DH has the shed and tools ![]() Today's eating consisted of: Snack: cashews @ 1/2 cup Dinner: salami, cheese and lettuce sandwich in an lc wrap Dessert: lc chocolate ice cream Gotta go take my vitamins........
