Mornin' y'all,

It's really warm outside and we're expecting some storms to move through. Wind is really strong, it could get a little interesting out there!

Barb, too early for me to think about food LOL

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hummm, I'm not much of a planner...sitting her eating some sf vanilla/pumpkin pudding for breakfast. That's nutritous right?
Good thought though Barb. Will think of that all day today and cut something out.

Monday, Monday....!

It was hovering around zero today, so the snow is getting slushy. I think it will freeze again overnight.

I am glad that I managed a 45 minute Walk last night.

Had a busy day running around, got the groceries in, and some Rx's filled at the Drs.

DSisIL is still with us, extended now till this Thursday, so all in all a month! They are shopping right now and I have Ella till they get home...just a couple of hours they said. I am keeping my patience and my attitude in check. It does slip out a tad but holding out till Thursday!

Linda,
Do check in with those Scan results.

Julie,
Sounds very nutritious for breakie!

Ginny,
Steer clear of those winds! What time do you start eating? I am hungry very soon after waking.

Barb,
What a GREAT TIP of the DAY! I can use that fer sure!

Loretta,
Guess you are still out shopping with your oldest DS. Do check in with your finds.

Waving to Y'all.

This is how it all worked out with the shopping trip.

MONDAY'S MAINTAINER MENU
1/2 decaf black, 4 cups all day
Breakfast: at Waffle House, cheese omelet
1:00: Lunch as Los Amigos Taco Salad without the taco
4:00: Home at last: sf jello w cream
psyllium fiber in 8 ounces water
6:00: Shrimp Scampi over cabbage noodles
2 cups mixed greens, fresh veggies, 2 T 3 cheese ranch
6 oz wine
Snack: reduced fat string cheese, 1/2 piece on flatout carbdown bread, CF diet soda

Welcome back Barb. I was worried about you with those storms. Glad that you got home safely. I think even if you ate the same foods I do, it might turn out differently for you. Wonder why that is? METABOLISM maybe.
Good thought to eliminate some thing.

Linda sure will be awaiting news on your test results.

Susun the best part about the shopping trip today was being with my oldest son. We had a great time. I found some nice bargains. Presents for Adam, Beth, my son, my DH, and best of all for myself. I got a nice jacket to wear with my slacks or skirts. A multicolored tweed.

Ginny those Vikings are not doing too badly themselves. I think I heard they won the last 3 games.

Julie, Sf pudding? Wonder how nutritious that is? How about eggs for breakfast??

Gotta get off of here and put my feet up.

Loretta, eggs? No way can I stomach those for breakfast. SF pudding isn't all that nutritous but the pumpkin is and i love it.

Hi gang,

Got my scan result immediately and they were fine. Nothing abnormal, no gall stones and the aneurysm hasn't changed a bit.Thyroid looked good too. Tomorrow I'll pick up the results of my thyroid panel and liver enzymes. You all MUST get your doctors to write on the order....results to patient.. It's the only way to fly. You get them before the doctor does. LOL

Barb, What could I NOT eat today? That would have to be coffee with cream and my eggs before my scans. So what's going on with you besides work?

Ginny, Hope you didn't lose power with storms on the way. Don't you just hate these severe temp changes and weather fronts? UGH. We are unusually warm until Wed, when it will turn bitter cold again.

Julie, you don't like eggs for breakfast?? How about making up a lot of batter with ricotta cheese and eggs and make "pancakes"? I have been having that often and it's good. Thanks to Loretta.
yes pumpkin is good for us but not that sf pudding.

Susan, Susan, I just know you are sending that cold air this way. Darn it all. Oh well, it is winter.
Humm, your DSIL just made herself right at home, eh? LOL Keep up the good work and continue to bite your tongue.

Loretta, it seems you did a great job eating out on that shopping trip. Sure wish we could convince others around these boards that it can be done .

Well her is my menu for today

Took myself out for a breakfast of bacon and
fried eggs
Plenty of coffee with half and half.

Dinner
Sirloin tip roast with guar gum gravy
spinach sautéed in olive oil and garlic
mashed rutabagas
piece of Loretta's low carb, almond cheese cake
Coffee, cream

PM glass of Merlot and some leftover beef

Hey gang,

Storms blew over without any trouble in our area. It's always a crapshoot when it's so warm this time of year, severe weather can kick up quickly. Had a hard rain at work, but that's about it.

Loretta, you did GREAT eating out today! We really do have so many choices on this WOE that there's no real reason to not eat right (except our choices, cravings and temptations LOL). Glad you had fun with your DS AND found some bargains too Yep, the Vikes are doing well now, I'm still hoping for major coaching changes for next year tho!

Linda, wonderful results for ya! Bacon and eggs for breakfast is high on my list too... the last time I went to the dentist we went to Shoneys afterwards and I relieved the buffet of more than my share, especially the bacon. It also helped me get my water in

Susan, I can't eat right away, takes my stomache a couple hours to wake up. We're usually up by 9, but work on caffeine until we eat around noonish. I eat dinner at work @ 6:00, and every once in a while will have a snack after work. I'm pretty used to eating 2 meals a day. Be careful on that sloppy sneaux stuff, the thaw and re-freeze can make for black ice

Julie, mmmmm pumpkin... I may have to look for some things to do with it that are legal! Ever since I was a teenager I've had to wake up for a while before I can eat anything. Food first thing is nauseating to me

Barb, did y'all get any of that white stuff they were calling for or was it just up by Denver? What did you NOT eat today? My secret santa left me a 'candy cane' full of M&M's.....that's what I didn't eat! Talk about some resolve... I'm proud of myself!

Off for a little lurk,
