Hi Melissa
Congrats to you on your weight loss. Wonderful job you have done for yourself. Does your DH eat a lot of sugar now??? Probably not if he does not need to lose weight. He could try a week in induction and then go to maintainence. Sugar sure is not included though on either plan. HE will have to decide ultimately which will work the best for him. |

Hi Melissa!
Both myself and my husband just started together. He's a bit grumpy but not too bad! Keep lots of acceptable snacks around. Whenever he starts complaining I just ram some meat into him LOL. This is our second time doing this. First round it took about a week for him to feel 'normal' again. He has 35 to drop and I'm going for 20 We are doing induction for 2 weeks. I think drinking water is key! Good luck!! |

He is 5'5" 126-129lbs he definitely doesnt need to lose any weight and he isnt a "sweets" eater but he is a pasta addict I told him this lifestyle will be ideal for him he will need all of the focus and energy he can muster for his shift work in the Navy...of course once deployed, food choices will be limited but right now he does have control over it and he is making a great choice
I was telling him to just cut out all of the white stuff and stick to low glycemic fruits and he shouldnt have to count the carbs am I right? Thanks again congrats to everyone who is maintaining I hope to be there one day soon!

I'd say if he doesn't need to lose any weight, which it looks like he doesn't, if he just dropped the white like you suggest he will be fine. He will have to replace it with other good things like nuts and low glyc. fruits. It's easier to get off of starches than sugars, so he's lucky he's not a sweets eater! Don't forget to push the green veggies to him, and different beans would be good too.
