or what's left of us. I have thought that maybe we should take this thread over to the golden since everyone here is "mature" except Ginny and she is welcome to come over there.
It's almost embarrassing to post here everyday when no one outside of our little group does. What do you all think?

Anyhoo, I never got to the bbs yesterday, except for a few minutes early yesterday morning. Ran my butt off and then went to one of our little Turkey Raffles last night with my brother and his wife. Wouldn't you know that I didn't win a darn thing.

I did enjoy an Italian sausage and peppers and burger without the buns and even had a lite beer. First one in a good many years.

I'm off to do some more running around and enjoying life today.

What's up with everyone else?

Hi Linda and those that follow

My thoughts on your suggestion, Linda is that we should change our name and seek out some others that are maintaining either new ones or veterans. I would like to hear what works for all of those that are maintaining their weight loss.
LOL I think that lots of the goldens are maintaining too but not at their goal weights. Just seems that way to me.

That Italian Sausage and peppers sounds great to me. I'll pass on the beer. I never did get to like it at all.

We had a fine time at the buffet resturant last evening. 10 in all with the DGKS. I got to feed Adam his bottle. Leah was fascinated with the "baby"

DH and I had Prime Rib. I had veggies with butter and a regular lettuce salad from the salad bar. That was it for me.

Morning,

Hmmmm what I would like is to ''talk'' a little each day about how we maintained, what area's we have trouble with, our temptations, sabotages by us or others....I guess I would like for our little chatter too but more about our struggles to do it. Maybe it's my imagination but most of us do have some struggles. From everything I've read here on LCF and other sites, maintaining is tougher than losing the weight itself so why don't we discuss it on a regular basis? We could stay here on the Maintain Lane or move if you like, I don't care but I'm sure there are lots of us going through "maintaining'' and have problems doing it.

We could change our name and start all over. Maybe spread the word on the different BB here and invite some maintainers that we know of, over to join us. Whatcha think?

Just came home while mass is going on but doing the whole morning before/after masses giving out our annual Angel Tree ''angels'' for the holiday season. For those who don't know, it's kids who are down and out and people buy for them, we know their wants and needs. They wrap them and return them and we take them. Our church usually get 250-300 kids and sometimes we run out. 2 more masses to go so best be getting back there. Later.....

Well, it's up to you guys. We could change the name and see if anyone bites, but after all these years of being on here, I don't think many will join us. Some did quite sometime back but never stayed. Then it got to be just a few of us everyday.

Julie, sorry you and some of the others are having such a difficult time. For over 7 years I didn't have one bit of a problem, if anything, I lost too much. Now that I quit smoking I'm just sitting on this 8 ish lbs but am not going to obsess about it.

I guess we all do have to find our path in maintaining. Mine happens to be Atkins at maintenance and absolutely NO cheats. I don't feel that it's worth it to cheat and then whine about it. I do know exactly how to eat, and I will continue to do so for the rest of my life. Personally I don't even care about that crap that made me fat in the first place.
Off my soap box now

Linda, I'm not having a tough time of it. I'm maintaining just fine now. I am over what I originally weighed as my goal but I am now at a weight I feel real good at and intend to stay here. I was talking about a good majority of people. Many struggle to maintain. Maybe this is just IMHO.

Glad you are finally comfortable with it Julie and I hope you didn't take offense. None was intended.

My feelings anymore are if they can't do it right, oh well. It's not my problem. I'm getting too old to molly coddle and pamper people along in their low carb journey. My patience is exhausted. LOL maybe I've been here too long, eh?

If they are mature enough to realize that this way of eating is a life style change, then they can do it successfully. If not,
