New Here
Hi everyone-
I'm not sure what the ccm's and mvm's mean I'm looking for a thread where I can post my daily intake of carbs and the weight flux that occurs now that I'm in the maintain lane .I have lost 3 1/2 lbs this week, so I'm concerned. I need to either stop or slow the lose down. My carbs vary, but on some days I can eat around 50, while others are less. I have added oats, brown rice, fruit, etc. I still do not eat bread. I do eat a TON of yougurt- Dannon Full Fat with davinci's and flax or almond meal, cinnamon etc. I occasionally have a wasa crisp. I eat natural PB etc. I am still very nervous about upping the carbs more. I try to workout 4-5 days a week, although sometimes only get in 3 days. Any support you could give me would be appreciated! Thanks |

Hi Smythe
Congrats on getting that weight off and still losing too!. How long since you reached your goal weight? I remember when I reached goal I continued to lose for another 6 months or so and then it quit and I went up a few pounds and am satisfied with staying here. CCM stands for calorie or carb counting maintainer. MVM was a name that meant ? (something) Vintage Maintainer. I have forgotten myself by now. Your eating habits are very sound. Exercise is important. Just hang with it for a while and I think you will stablize. Is your general health OK? As long as you feel and are healthy don't get too concerned. You will level off. If you check on the Golden BB you will see some of the maintainers menus. We are Goldens (oldies) and just hang out over there.

Wecome and good advice Loretta! The only thing I can add is maybe add more good carbs into what you are eating now. 3 1/2 lbs in a week is way too much. You're losing muscle and that's not good. Try and up the carbs and calories. Have you ever figured out how many calories you are actually eating? It may be too low. OR try eating a little MORE of what you already are. JMHO

Thanks guys. I just hit Goal on Sunday...but then the weight started to fly off. Before that I was only losing 1-2 lbs a month! Sometimes I have a big lose before TOM, but at 44, things have been changing a bit. TOM should not be visiting....he missed his appointment earlier this month
Thanks for the advice. I'll wait and see. Maybe I'll do the oats more mornings than usual. Thanks. |

Hi and welcome to the wonderful world of maintaining.
Loretta and Julie said it well so I have nothing to add. We are all so different and have to find out just what we can eat and still maintain. I don't bother with counting anything these days and find I just "know" what to eat. As you can see, there are not many maintainers on this bb, just a small handful, but you are welcome to come over to the Golden BB and check out our menus. |
