Thursday for the CCMs
WOW Linda, those are some awesome pictures of the donkey/mountain lion. Those people were brave even getting so close to the scene. Our weather here is really chilling now that the tornados are finished. 20s last night and still windy, but nice sunshine.
Thanks Vickie, I did not know that about mules. Not that I will ever find myself in that scenario. Congrats on getting rid of those pounds. Barb glad to hear that the fellow that was in the wreck is on his way to recovery. Step by step. for him and patience. Not much to report here. We did hear from one of DH's daughters that Marcia is living in an apartment in Ill. Not much else about her. Doctor's visits today for DH. Pacemaker check and then to see the internist for a follow up visit. No real problems status quo. Back later. Hi to those that follow and those that are in my memory store. to all of you.

Hey Loretta, boy it has gotten really quiet around this maintain board lately. How sad. I wish the others would come back, especially Shawnee and Roger. Geezzz, how long are they going to stay mad. We do love them both dearly.
![]() That Mule thingy was bogus. The pictures were real but the story was not. I should have looked at snopes before I posted it as I usually do but....oh well. Still awesome pictures.http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/mulelion.asp I sincerely hope Marcia does alright on her own this time. How sad. Waving to everyone else. I'm off to read on this bb and the senior bb. |

Well, I don't know what to say.....
I don't understand why we are down to so few on this board -- but I cherish and love those that are here!! I'm working on paperwork tomorrow - but taking off Saturday and Sunday to go shopping and visiting. We live 2 hrs. away from a MAJOR shopping center and enjoy the visit and drive. The mountains are great but..... we NEED services!! That's all of the shopping I will do probably and then it's just the internet. I love just seeing the lights and stuff! We go to Denver next week - leaving on Wednesday and returning Sunday. I just KNOW there will be a major snow storm as we try to cross the Rockies!! I haven't been in the city for awhile -- we used to live there when DD was younger and now, we have no desire to return to the big city life. DH had a corporate job there and did the comute thing and I did the lovely housewife thing. NO MORE!Marcia! It seems as if we just had her with us - aren't all family? Linda, did you see the news about grizzies? First they are endangered species and now we are going to issue hunting licenses????? Till the morrow.......

![]() Sorry I've been MIA. Having so many minor problems with my health I just haven't even felt like posting. Anyone want to take over my 10,000 min. challenge thread? Just kidding! It started out so simple and everybody adding their minutes but that didn't work. So now, I have to post the totals and I hate that. Now, aren't you sorry you wanted me to post? I'm fixing Thanksgivine dinner. Both my boys and families will be here. DD said she'd stop over for dessert but probably later and the boys all go home early. We'll see how that turns out. Not getting stressed ou this year. Off my antidepressant and doing well. Will try and be better about posting..Roger and Shawnee, get back in here and let's begin again. ![]()

Hey gang,
I'm whupped. Last night the heater in the gh wanted to act up so I was up till 3:30 and DH was up till 5:30 just to make sure it didn't quit again. Problem is solved, but we're pretty tired none the less. DH got in a good nap this afternoon and I am not long for the bed myself even though I made myself sleep in till 10:30 (kept waking up once 9:00 hit ). Anyways, all is well here now. It really turned off cold on us yesterday, and tonight is supposed to be low to mid 20's. I dug out the warm winter jacket today and was GLAD for it since I have to go outside to smoke. Sure am glad I'm not at my old job and in the coveralls ![]() Just for the record, Linda, that particular story may have been fabricated, but burros and their progeny are very protective. Around here as well as other places many farmers will run burros with their cows for predator control. Our friends have a few in with their herd and have found many carcasses of coyotes/coydogs (the main predators around here) that had been stomped by the equine protectors. They haven't lost a calf since they started keeping the burros with the cows. Our horses don't like strange dogs, and will chase dogs out of the pasture. My mare will actually stand really still and wait for a dog to get in range so she can stomp/kick. Barb, hope you enjoy your excursion, and really hope the weather cooperates for you. Most of all be careful and have that emergency kit handy! You know the drill. We'll be spending T-day here, no travelling for us. Loretta, sure am glad y'all are safe! It got pretty wild in some parts of TN during that storm, but nothing in our little area. It all blew over by the time I left work, so the drive home was no problem. I go on a pretty curvy road, so was GLAD for that! Julie, glad you're off the Wellbutrin and doing good on your own. You CAN do it! Just relax and enjoy your holiday. The rest of the family dynamics can take care of themselves. Remember, they are adults and responsible for themselves. Vickie, nice to have you drop in. Tell us about yourself! Jacki, how's things in the PNW? Off for a little bitty lurk, then ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
