CCM # Thursday

Hey I liked that idea Barb for the title line. Never quite sure what to put up there anymore. Hope you are gaining all kinds of knowledge in that xp class. You could pass the tidbits on to us. I do like xp and it was not as difficult as I feared. I have had my pc for a year now and the new ones are so much more advanced. You just cannot sit still with technology. More memory, more hard drive etc etc. Double layering cd dvd, I won't ever learn how to use all of this "stuff".

Ginny good to have you "pop in". Has your new job made a big change in your life? Just wondering about your day to day changes. Guess you will still have time for your orkids and scent making. Will you have to wait long for the new crown? You should be healed up by then.

Looking forward to hearing from the rest of our bunch. Hang loose and enjoy the day.

Oh man, I learned so much last night at class- my heads a'bustin'. I even got to teach my resident computer guru some things or two. We did task bar, start menu and such. Next week will fix the darn thing! Disk repair and all that stuff.

Ginny, the school shooting was near Knoxville but there was another one where the Assistant Principal was working late and beat with a baseball bat by two kids. He did live. They thought he was dead. I'm voting for concealed carry for all school employees.

I know all about waiting for new teeth, etc. Just had my front teeth reparied and it took all summer. My DH is waiting on his crowns and can chew on one side.....and he's wondering why we have mush everynight.

Missing those we haven't heard from lately..........

Hi gang,

Loretta,
Glad you are liking XP and not having problems. It was the only version of Windows I've had and don't know any different
You are so right, it would take two or three lifetimes to learn all there is to know on these things.

Barb,
Concealed carry permits should be issued for many professions as well as good, stable citizens. It would cut down on crime.
Did you see the Sean Hannity show and the 66 year old grandmother in Texas who shot the home intruder? AWESOME woman.
The 911 call was released and broadcast on his afternoon talk show. It's on TV now here in the east. Check it out if it's on later in your area.

Ginny,
yeah money is always appreciated by almost everyone. But unlike you, I found buying for the little ones was so much easier years ago. Now I don't worry about it. They all get money and adults don't exchange gifts so everyone is happy

Bummer on that new crown not fitting right. Hopefully that dentist will get it right next time.

Patty, it was good to see you pop in. LOL those leaves are just about gone now. We had wind, rain and snow off and on all week.

Yes, eastern Montana is part of the Great Northern Plains and is rather bleak. Not many trees to speak of but beautiful non the less. God, I LOVE Montana.

Julie, where the sam hill are you?

Guess the others gave up on us, eh?

Hello everyone! Wish someone would start an online computer class. I am so dumb on this thing that I feel embarrassed. Have messed up my Kodak camera set-up so I can't even send pictures on the e-mail once I get them downloaded. Am going to have to get the computer man out and in this area they are hard to come by. Then you wait a few months. I just need a good class to keep up with you gals. I love to read all the messages but don't respond much. Just so I can send and get e-mails keeps me happy and busy.

Hey gang,

Well, it's cooled off here for us. Had frost on the windshield for the first time tonight Whine. The job isn't that much different hours for me except for the hour lunch making my day 9 hrs instead of the old 'straight 8'. I still get to do all the stuff I normally do, but may have to start watching my taped shows on the weekend evenings instead of after work.

Linda, please send the sneaux somewhere other than us. That stuff I can do without! Be careful driving, you know they all forget how over the warmer months!

Loretta, should be @ 3 weeks for the crown to come in, then I have to set up an appointment for installation. Hope they get it right this time. This temp seems to be a little better than the last one, but we'll see once my mouth settles in with it. I will definitely be making the goodies....do most of that on the weekends anyways, so no change there.

Barb, I've worked on Windows 95, 98 and Millenium, and at work we have XP but I changed it to classic view which makes it a little more like what I'm accustomed to. A class would be a great thing for me, but I'll settle for the Dummies book whenever we do change systems. We'll be babying this critter along as best we can

Patty, good luck getting your 'puter set right. That stuff can be a pain! Have you tried uninstalling the camera software and reinstalling it?

Off for a little lurk, then bed. Got a staff meeting tomorrow so I have to leave early!
