Hey gang,

Wow, I couldn't hardly believe all the destruction I saw on the news, and so many deaths from that storm. One coming through at that time of the night would be just horrifying. Back about 3 years ago, in the evening, we had an F4 come through about 5 miles south of here. That's the one that threw the hail and trashed our gh roof the first time. Because of the time it came through, there were only a couple deaths, it could have been much worse. This time of year, a storm can get very violent... so much going on with warming and cooling just due to the season.

The roast turned out EXCELLENT! DH said it was almost like prime rib, it was so tender and juicy! What I did was marinade it overnight in Moores with some Canadian Steak Seasoning sprinkled on, then turned on one side of the grill on low, place the meat on the other side and let it slow cook for about 3 1/2 hours. I 'goofed' and had the temp a bit too low, and when I cut into it I found it still needed a good bit more time. I bumped the temp up a little to where I normally cook steaks (med. low) and let it go another hour-hour and a half until it got done. I used 2 sirloin tip roasts, and the meat was just wonderful. Good flavor from the marinade too!

Hope everyone has a great day! I'm off for a little lurk, then time to get moving.......

Hi Ya Gang!

Ginny,
Where to post???????
You guys were posting at exactly the same time, YIKES!
Great minds think alike, or what?
That roast sounds Sooooooo yummy. DH has put our BBQ away for the winter now, so I'll have to hang on to that recipe-method till next Spring.

Only managed a stroll-type walk in the woods with DD, Ella and Betsy (the new pup) this morning. The DSisIL was having a soak in the tub and napping to catch up on the jet lag. So got to hang out with DD and Ella for about an hour in the Fall sunshine.

I am planning to do my polite visit tomorrow night. I am working tomorrow I have a group. Then over to DD's, so I have to be on my best behaviour. I think I can do it, for everyones sake, even though underneath I am !
DD is doing the supper!

Loretta, I'll have to go read your post yet.

Wavin to y'all!
