HOW ABOUT THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought they would be wrecking the city with celebration but DS says that zero tolerance is in effect. Guess if they game had been played there, there might have been a little more yahooing going on.

That is the first time in a while that the Yankees have not won the world series. I am happy to see the Sox win. But I always routed for the Cubs.

Congrats Susun you are doing a fine job of gaining control of more things than just one. Do be patient as Linda suggests. It is a change for life.

Linda those are just plain old real pigs feet, not in a jar. He boils them up for a long time and then takes the bones out and puts the meat back in a dish with the broth (that turns like jello) He puts a little vinegar on it and eats them cold. (slovak) Seems like the cooler weather is the best time for making them. I hear you on the crackers. I found some cheese sprinkles that I want to add next time. I want to try them your way too with the splenda and cinnamon. They are so handy to eat. Just too good
and so many different ways to fix them.

Barb good news that you DD made the trip safely. Will she be a lot closer to you now (well I know that she will be closer than Chi) but how close?

A young gal (41), from our sister parish who just had a baby about a month ago, has had a serious brain bleed. She is on life support and her future sure looks iffy. She was driving at the time but was fortunate enough to get her vechicle off of the road. It happened about a week ago. Do you think it was related to recently giving birth? Just curious about that myself.

Hi, boy it's been busy around here for some reason. Tomorrow we are going to paint that darned bedroom and be done with it. Problem is the ceilings are well over 12 ft high and we don't have a ladder tall enough and no truck to borrow one. Oh well, maybe my brother next door will have one we can borrow.

Barb, are you going to the doggie party? If so how about some pictures. I bet they are sooooo cute.

Oh dear God, that poor girl. It could be from recently giving birth or an aneurysm that was just ready to burst. It happens, just like it did with my dad when he was 49. He lived but was never the same.

Yeah, love those almond crisps and will make some more tomorrow.

I did the Aerobics class again after work w 50 crunches.
weight was up a tad this morning..

I know I need to be patient. I was trying to get in some kinda shape for Florida.

Hey y'all,

Still pretty chilly here in the south, will be glad for a little warm-up that we SHOULD get shortly. Work is going well. Today 2 different people told me I was catching on quicker than expected I wonder if everyone else that applied was a fry short of a happy meal??? Y'all, it's not rocket science! I guess with my most recent employment having been a Dock Goddess had them all a bit worried LOL. I'm learning quite a bit, but will have to go through HR training to get my computer clearance for that stuff. Right now, unless I'm doing benefits-related things, I'm pretty much doing just general office work. Easy money, but I'd rather be DOING something. It will come. Anyways, with the info I'm learning, it will make my HR training easier since I'll have seen most of the programs and forms, even if I haven't actually keyed them in the system.

Linda, you just be careful painting that bedroom. We don't want to hear of any impromptu dismounts from that ladder. I've got a few rooms need painting and our ceilings are only 7' in this old house. on the sneaux, too early for THAT!

Susan, don't worry about the weight, it will come off. Right now it sounds like you're 'rearranging' everything, with the walking and aerobics etc you may just be building muscle while burning fat. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat, go by the fit of your clothes. Good job, girl!

Loretta, OMG that poor lady! I've heard of an aneurism rupturing after the birth of a baby. It's quite a strain on the blood vessels, and any weakness can be exposed with that. I do hope she recovers well and doesn't have any after effects. Amazing she was able to get her car off the road in time--God was watching over her (and everyone else on the road) for sure. Tell your DH he can have my share of the pigs feet. Don't think I'll be trying that!

Julie, how's everything going with Bo? Has his incision healed up yet? Did you get a report on what the problem was?

Barb, if you go to the pup show, take your camera. We'll want pics! Glad your DD made it safe and sound. How far away from you is she now?
