Hi Ginny and All that follow,
Hope you are settling in well at your new job Ginny. Enjoy that SUNshine today in your neck of the woods. A rainy day up here today! It is dry at the moment, hope it stays dry as I will be going for my Walk with DD & Betsy, later this aft. Oliver won't go for that long. We will be in the woods, so even if it does rain, we will be sheltered a bit from the trees. It is so good to get the fresh air. I think I am down 1/2lb this morning, I don't think I will make my mini goal of 3lbs for this week. I only have 3 more days for this week. I am feeling stronger from the exercise, so maybe I have built a little muscle. Clothes are not as tight, so all encouraging signs. May need to re-check my carb count, increase the WATER, increase physical activity output, limit the nitrates. I think I have all the bases covered. Hope to be back later. SuSUN ![]() |

Evening folks.....
Susan, when you get all of that mastered...... let me know how! water - carbs - nitrates, physical activity Glad you are down and on your way....loose clothes - someone asked about my two friends who died - one was from another little town here and retired and the other was still working as the Postmistress at our local post office. They were on their way to CA for a family celebration when the accident happened. Joan's brother, who was driving, is still in ICU with a brain injury and 4 vert. back/neck. He is the husband to our kndg. teacher . She is the only survivor of the accident and sat in the passenger seat. the rest were in the back, no sealbelts, ejected, and Dan was driving. On a more positive note, the weather here is great! My DD got to Denver for her clinical in PT and LOVES the weather here!! She just returned from the NE and never wants to see rain again. How's the job Ginny? Julie, glad the Seahawks are doing so well! Linda, did you get snow yet? Jacki, how are those healthy meals going at school? Loretta, you don't rake all of those leaves - do you? I wonder what ever happened to Liz?

Hi everyone, better late than never.
We were without power or INTERNET service for well over 24 hrs. Not fun in this weather. We had that heavy, wet snow that took down trees and power lines. There are still about 5,000 homes in the county without power. Poor people. Can someone tell me why the HELL we live in the north east? Golly I'm down an entire lb . Holy Chit!! Let's see if this sticks. LOLGinny, how's the job going? Hope you are enjoying it. Loretta, Those darn Almond crisps are absolutely wonderful made with splenda and cinnamon. They rather remind me of my grandmother's left over pie crust thingys. She always put butter, cinnamon and sugar on the rolled out scraps, rolled them up and baked. YUMMM Pigs feet, eh? I haven't had those in years and years and used to really like them. Humm? <note to self, grocery store for a jar of pigs feet tomorrow Susan, I looked at your menu and wonder if you aren't eating far too few carbs. It looks like you will starve if you don't eat more. What's the hurry, this diet isn't a crash diet. Relax and have patience. Barb, Those poor survivors. I hope they will be OK eventually. Gosh, what a tragedy. Especially since they could have avoided being ejected if those seat belts were on. Waving to the rest of our gang and am going to hit the sack. I"m pooped! |

Hi Ya Gang,
Just wanted to check back tonight. I managed a WALK for an hour with DD and her new pup, with Ella running along stopping to pick up leaves. It was a pretty walk, with lots of colorful leaves, some still on the trees, we were all wrapped up well. Thank goodness the rain had all dried up. Just a few Canadian geese in the water, I guess the majority have all flown South by now. Barb, Thank you for sharing about the loss of your dear freinds. How very sad and tragic. If I ever master this WOE all at once...I'll let you know! Loretta, I think your DH would prefer his own feet! Sorry it is an old Irish joke."I got my husband some pigs feet!" You have been a busy gal agin! Linda, Poor you on the no power, YUK! There a millions further South with no power too!CONGRATS on the 1lb loss! Thanks for looking over my menu, I usually don't lose if I up the Carbs. I may ease up a bit as I am almost at the 2 week mark and see if it makes a difference. This week has not been as good as last weeks for weightloss. Julie, Where are you Gal, hope all is well with you and lil' Bo. Waving to the rest of our Gang! SuSUN |
