Monday, Monday..Oct 24th MVM/CCM
Hi Gang!
I promised I'd be back so I am starting Monday's thread. It is almost Monday. I did put my energy behind my chores today, so that was good I got a lot more than usual done. DD and family came over for supper. I was cooking so able to stay in control. I stayed legal and it was no problem. They all had wine and pastries and I was really okay. I did NOT manage to get out for a Walk today though, so missed the fresh air (my sleeping draft.) I was aching after Saturday's walk, so it is probably good that I have a rest day. Monday is a new day and I do hope to get out early today. Loretta, WE have had our heating on several times over the past few weeks. I know whatcha mean about that arm ache. I took a tylenol and it felt much better no need to suffer through it, only a day. Do you prefer ibuprofen? Interesting to hear about the drive through flu shots. DD went for hers yesterday, she had to go to a high school and park up, but she was in and out in 30 minutes, she said about 10mins wait, then stay for 15 mins after the shot. At work it goes much quicker as we all have our own appointments, every 5 minutes. Ginny, Good fer you getting it free at work. Glad your team won! Barb, Sorry your team did'nt make it. Julie, Poor lil' Bo. I hope he is up and around on all fours soon! He is your little patient right now, so he needs some TLC from his Mama. You are not spoiling him just assisting in his recovery. Linda, hope you are still not doing chores. You are our host Mrs. Clean! I tried to emulate you Sunday! Jacki, great pics of the GH, I guess this will be your little den over the winter months. Wavin to One and All. SuSUN ![]() |

Jeepers! Both of my teams didn't make it, but really good games!!
Ginny, I think that game should have ended at half time! I love watching that rivalry. Susan, good for you sticking to plan. Got that same energy today? Julie, glad Bo is ok -- reminds me of all of the lumps our "Cody" had in his lifetime and so many surgeries. Waving to the rest....... |

Gee Barb my team made it. White Sox won another game. It was a good game too.
How are things going for you at school this year. Is that one fellow still there that cause so much headache last year? Were you friends that died from the school also? Susun you Dd sure had a quick turn at getting her flu shot. The drive through at the high school was only for those on medicare. Not sure how the rest will be handled. They have some more clincis but took elderly first, then compromised in health and down the list. Congrats on staying on plan. You sound determined to get those pounds off. Made some Almond Thin crackers this am using some carbquik plus almond flour. Still tasting to see if I like them better than the ones made just with almond flour> Those TASTES don't count, do they I mailed in a copy of my car rental agreement from my Honda accident to Geico since they claim they have not received the copy sent by my insurance co. I sent it REGISTERED MAIL. I sure don't know who to believe any more. My insurance co agent said she mailed it in about 2 weeks ago. I did receive my deductable from my co. I did not have car rental on my policy but Geico should pay it. Linda hope you don't have any big projects planned this week. Going to make some Peanut Butter cookies when I pull myself away from this pc.

I have just managed my 40 minute walk and that much needed fresh air.
Keep thinking about trying some stomach crunches. They help to pull you in so I should do them. Barb, What a great sport you are! Thanks for the encouragement re this WOE. Loretta, I may strike up enough courage to actually bake something LC this time around. I hardly got into it the first time around because when I first started LC I was working almost full time and time was scarce, now I have pulled back quite a bit I find I do have time for myself. I do enjoy to cook and bake, it has always been the time factor that held me back. I'll have to track where you posted your Almond thins recipe. I have another 4 days of induction, then I'll treat myself. Waving to the rest of our gang! |

Hi gang, gee I never made it here yesterday. Took my mom for a long ride in her car to give it some highway miles. The darn thing , a Prism, is almost 10 years old and only has 37,000 miles on it. LOL if she ever sells it, she can truthfully say one owner lol ( little old lady), low miles, perfect condition.
Anyway.. Susan, Glad to hear that you are feeling an energy burst from this woe. Falling off plan and eating bad carbs, isn't worth it. CARB FOG and loss of energy is so not fun. No projects planned this week unless the paint base comes in. We shall see. I want to get at that last bedroom. Loretta, that drive through clinic sounds great. You can at least sit in the car and listen to the radio or a CD. Oh do let us know how the almond crackers come out with carbquick and almond flour. I just LOVE them. Especially with butter and some SF jelly. ![]() Yes we have had the heat on and this is forecast beginning tonight at 6PM YIKES!! http://headlines.accuweather.com/new...er=0&article=4 Barb, LOL we don't do any "running bare" around here during the winter either. Just bought myself some new flannel jammies and bought a new coverlet to throw on top of the winter quilt. BOTH OF YOUR TEAMS LOST??? Sorry about that.Julie, you can spoil Bo just as much as you want. Geezzz, what's with people anyway. Bonsai, eh? Wanna bet I could kill that off? Waving to everyone else. Come on MIAs' get your butts back here. |

Ok, Ok Linda, I'm here!
Bo is home and the E Collar back on and doing fine. Yikes on that S report! Holy crap, isn't it a little early for that? The winter hasn't even begun yet...soooooooorrrrrrrrrry sweetie! SuSun, glad you got your walk in. Seems to make us feel better about ourselves and that in the end helps us eat right! So are you still having trouble pulling away from DD? You must have really had it up to the eye balls with her wanting you all the time. Does she work? I never heard you say she did so wondering why she needs so much help. Barb, so sad your teams didn't win. MINE DID! Don't want to rub it in though. Did you ever get back down to goal? I know you were struggling awhile back. Geez, how many surgeries did Cady have? Sounds like a lot. I PM you about it. Loretta, I am not much into the World Series this year but do hope the White Sox win. Peanut Butter cookies???? Damn kiddo, what are you trying to do to me? Thank Gawd I don't have any in the house! Off to the couch to read, read, read! Sun came out and it's hit 61° ![]()
