Hi Susun and those that follow
Glad you have your freedom back Susun and can do "your" stuff and pay more attention to your life. You will have to wait and see what transpires with DSIL, just be ready and don't let her manipulate you. (sometimes hard to do because they are sneaky about it). MY x was like that and I have a SIL too that is like that. IT takes practice and patience to deal with them. Going to the hopsital today to see a friend who has had a bilateral mastectomy. Cancer in one breast and tissue reports of a Pre disposing type for the other breast. She also has a strong family history. She is probably in her late 40s or early 50s. Glad you like those crackers Linda. They turn out different every time I make them. I need to get them a little saltier formy taste. I like them too, easier to eat than almonds themselves. Ginny, yes that open enrollment season will keep you very busy. How many employees are at the facilitiy? Or do you do more than just that place? My son and wife (Adam's parents) are facing a tough time today, their old dog, Jack is unable to walk on all 4s anymore. His hind quarters are not working. The vet gave him a shot a while back and that helped but now the pet has become "involuntary" and unable to control bowel or bladder. They have had him since before they had any kids, probably 14 years or so. I feel for them. Later folks

Oh my Loretta! Your poor son and family. I can sympathize on this. Pets are just like family.
Bo went into surgery this morning for a lump on his leg. It's not a cyst but not sure what it is. Bo just won't leave it alone so best to just get it off. It's so quiet around here, like a morgue! Bo doesn't bark so not sure why it seems that way. Prayers for your friend with the breast cancer. She is just too young. We never know when life will hit us with a blow like this. I guess I should try those crackers but I love my WASA crackers with Laughing Cow low fat swiss cheese. SuSun, you are lucky to have found the strength to pull away and let the kids raise their little one. They want and need you at times but they can and will take advantage. Do I sound like I'm experienced? Hi Ginny! Hi to everyone coming later...

AWWWWWWH! Loretta,
Your poor son and his wife. Those old dogs do get tired and we do have to let them go, which causes so much sadness. DD just went thru all that this her old dog Sassy put to sleep July 26th and she had been with her thru all the trials and tribulations of the past 8 years. She still gets upset and misses her dearly but with the new puppy Betsy it does help heal the pain. It is really a tough time for that young family my thought and prayers go out to them. God Bless that dear friend of yours in the hospital today. This is B.Cancer month. I do hope she recovers and is feeling on top of the world in a few months. The B.Ca support group that I am a member of all say it is great after a few months pass. Love and Hugs, SuSUN ![]() |

Hi everybody,
Didn't do much today except tear my bedroom apart and clean it from top to bottom. Tomorrow I'll put the rest of it back together and get out the winter comforter. It's getting cold around here at night although we haven't had a frost yet.Real close though. Susan, it's good to hear you are finally getting YOUR life back on track and have cut back on that babysitting. You after all, did raise your kids. It's her turn now. ![]() If it were me, I would make myself scarce when that SIL visits. Let her entertain herself. Is she staying with you or your DD? How about putting her up in a Motel and renting her a car? That would let her have her privacy and let the rest of you have some peace and quiet. Ginny, three nights working with that stretchy band is pretty darn good. Just don't go over board and hurt yourself. LOL It's easy to do as we get older. ![]() Do tell us more about the open enrollment period and how many people you are going to deal with. Why don't ya get another small TV so you can watch what you want while your DH watches his shows? Geez we have 5 of the things here. Loretta, aww and to your DS and his wife. Poor ol dog. It's so damned difficult to do the necessary but best for the poor dog. How tragic for that poor friend of yours. A good friend of mine just went through the second mastectomy and is now in chemo. What a dreadful disease. Did you get that car waxed? I really NEED to do that to the Corolla one more time before the snow flies. Julie, what does the vet think that lump is on Bo's leg? I hope its nothing and Bo feels better. Is he home now? Poor guy. Do give those crackers a try. They are so darn easy to put together. I just threw everything into one bowl, mixed it together with a big spoon, packed it down and turned it out on a buttered foil, covered it with waxed paper and rolled it out. Then I scored it with a knife and put it in the oven, right on the foil for 10 - 12 minutes. Excellent!! Barb, how's it going today? Hope you are healing from that tragedy. Waving to Shawnee, Roger, Jackie and lurkers. Last edited by LoveMontana : 10-21-2005 at 08:05 PM. |
