Friday Oct 14 for the CCMs

Thanks for the baby congats. I am happy it was a boy since there are not very many of them to carry on the family name, even tho it was my x. My sons sure are wonderful fathers and husbands. They both take a very active part in raising the children and in the household chores. They sure don't take after their dad in those respects. Maybe it was just a different "age" when fathers did not get involved.

Hope things slow down for me in the upcoming week. I want to get out in the yard and WORK.

Linda I have been looking for the Carbquik flour so I can try out some recipes. I have given up on the store search and ordered it up today from netrition.

Susun that makes 4 DGKs for me, 2 boys and 2 girls. Plus a step DGD. Adam is not Leah's brother. He is my youngest sons. They now have 3 children..
Susun don't give up on the battle of the bulge. That food will work out sooner or later. Drink that water too.

Later kids,

to all of those in and out of action here.

Congratulations on the new grandson. He's beautiful!

I've been using the carbquick and absolutely love it. It's a great product. Bought it off netrition.

No school today so no work for me! Yayy Yayyy Going to stay home and do some catch-up work. At my own pace with plenty of book reading thrown in.
I"ve been reading the #1 Ladies Detective Agency novels by Alexander McCall Smith. There's 6 in the series so far. All about a lady in Botswana that establishes her own detective agency. These books are a joy to read. You should check them out. I'm sharing them with a friend and we've both been captivated by the characters in it.

Well, I suppose I'd better get off here and have some breakfast.

Waving at all...have a good day.

Just a quick note to say Barb wrote on the challenge that 2 of her very good friends has been killed in an auto accident. Please keep her in you thoughts and prayers. (((hugs))) Barb.

Loretta, Congrats to you on that sweet little DGS.

Hi everyone,

OMG Julie. Poor Barb. Yes she will be in my thoughts and prayers. How terrible. for her.

So what are you up to girl?

Loretta, My two oldest sons each have three kids and they are heavily involved. Even more so than the moms. LOL They take them all hunting, fishing, boating, ball games and are coaches on several of the kids sporting teams. One son has two boys and a girl and the other has two girls and a boy.

I was never able to find Carbquick in a store so I ended up buying it from this site. It's OK but still not the real thing

Jackie, hows the mouth? I hope the dental surgery pain is long gone.

I'll check out those books when I finish the JA Jance series. She is a mystery writer too. I posted a link to all of her books over on the Golden in the Book thread.

Hope Ginny got through that new job training in one piece.

Hi to Susan, Roger, Shawnee, Patty and lurkers.

Waving to all.

Not much going on today. Going for lunch with a friend...extent of my fun! Jana and her gf are coming over from Seattle today but not sure if she's staying with us or her mom's. Her mom really doesn't have the room but they are young and can flop just about anywhere.

Last night was DD 41st birthday so they came over for dinner. Man, I hate cooking!!! All was peaceful and nice. DD and I getting along pretty good at the moment. As long as I keep my opinions to myself!!! Sheesh.....

Reading James Patterson's book, LONDON BRIDGES. I think you read it Linda, didn't you? Can't hardly put it down. Love that series.
Have the 2nd in the series of Mariah Stewart's, DEAD EVEN waiting on the table. The librarians knows me by my first name and there are about 8 or them.

Gotta run...

Julie thanks for that news about Barbs friends. I will send off some for her and her freinds. How tradgic. I wonder if their deaths were snow related. The have had some bad winter storms there already.

Linda be proud of your sons. I think that is wonderful that both parents get involved with the kids. Both of my boys are trying to teach respect too by having the kids friends call them Mr and Mrs and not by their first names. I think that is the right way to start out.

Julie good to hear from you too. Miss hearing from you over here. Have you tried the Carbquik?

Jackie I'm glad to hear that you like it. I will give it a go. But worry already about eating too many legal goodies.

Loretta, never tried the Carbquik myself. I just don't bake and especially goodies. I drool over them but that's about it. Besides my stomach would really rebel over baked goods right about now. (My esophagus is inflamed so am trying to get it healed.)

Wish this world would bring back respect!

Hello CCM's,

Checking in with you busy ladies.

Had Ella over this morning while DD went for her weekly hair appt. blow dry. She is becoming to be a lot of fun, but into everything. I can enjoy her now I am only babysitting for a couple of hours and at my place.

Loretta, Thanks for the reminder on the Water intake. I sure need to start that again!

Linda,
Who bought your Rav? Did she go to a good home?

Sending and uplifting thoughts to Barb and her friends.

Jacki, What kind of dental surgery did you have?

Julie, Good to see you posting here again.

Ginny, is your work week over yet?

Waving to the MIA's and hopefully they will return.
