Friday for the CCM's
I'm anxious to hear how the new job went Ginny. Is it the same hours as the last one? You can tell I'm not paying attention to details if you already told us. Just like a teacher NOT to listen!!
100 years ago you were a lifeguard - Linda! WOW! Did they wear bathing suits back then? Swimming is one of the best sports - too bad we didn't keep it going as we got older. When I win a million or two I'm going to build me a lap pool right by the bedroom so I can go from bed to pool! Bet the leaves are pretty right now all over the country. Everyplace has it's own beauty. We are going to a Turkey Shoot tomorrow. Top 3 people in each division win a turkey. Maybe I should go practice today so I can bring home the dinner! Have a great one! Barb

Hi and Happy Friday
Barb our leaves are just starting to change colors. Probably in another week or so they will be in full show. Good going on the Turkey shoot. Hope you bag a big one. Linda the name of the peaches, by DelMonte, is Carb Clever. I sure am happy to have another fruit choice. The crackers are at this web site: Almond Thins Another nice alternative for me instead of eating raw almonds which is about impossible for me now without that other tooth. The crackers are very good but a little trouble some to make. But I'll keep trying. I don't think Leah is learning how to swim, yet. Back later to all posting and missing.

Hello Gang!
A rainy drizzly day up here. Went to the periodontist this morning, 4 gums need skin grafts from the roof of my mouth...ouch, sounds painful. He said it can be done over a year. I will think about it and consult the estimate returns from the Insurance. I am a tad mad about this, cuz it is all self inflicted...too vigorous of a brusher...I have always been in a rush in the morning, so not taking my time.Yes, I agree swimming is a great exercise. I keep meaning to sign up for aquafit to get me back into the water. Great for the joints and the spirits! It is two weeks today since I pulled back the babysitting, I am feeling much better and able to get on with my stuff. Her DH was in Europe all last week. I did help out a little but way less than I used to. Freedom!BTW, Anyone know the carb-sugar count for Glucosamine sulphate? Barb, Best wishes for the Turkey Shoot...I know they have to be killed some way...but I am way too squeemish for that. Loretta, Thanks for the tip on those peaches and crackers. I am not sure if we can get those up here. I will have a good look around to see. We all need a decent treat to keep us on track. I am walking for 30 minutes daily, so that is helping pull the appetite down and giving me some extra energy. Off to finish some chores. SuSUN |

Me too, brushing too vigorously but I think it is a little hereditary. Now, my DD needs to have it done too. |

Hi Everyone.
It's friday!! Yayy yayy. But, monday is looming over me. I go for my first oral surgery...bone grafting....oh my. I'm really getting a bit antsy about it. Y'all have to see this site...it is so precious your heart will ache from it. http://www3.telus.net/camilleallen/c...llen/index.htm I have never seen such breathtakingly delicate dolls in my life. It's been raining here this week...and autumn fills the air and winter is breathing down our necks. I don't like the dark winter days. If it wasn't for work I'd get a full dose of SAD. No sir...I don't like it one bit. Oh well, through winter comes spring. Waving to everyone. |

Hey y'all!
Well, the new place has survived 2 days with me I have a busy week ahead of me, so if I'm MIA periodically, don't worry. As soon as I resurface and get air, I'll check in. Yesterday I worked from 1:00 till 8:40, today was 10:00 till 6:00, ate on the fly so no lunch time taken. I am going to have a LOT to learn before I can be very productive, just hope this old dog can learn new tricks! So far, everyone has been very nice, and the people there seem to like their jobs......that makes a huge difference. Once I'm trained, I'll be on my normal shift (well, normal for ME), so no worries about having to wake up early. I think the main reason they picked me was 'cuz I like afternoons, and all the people who had experience in HR/Benefits wanted days. They obviously want someone who will be happy in the shift and not fly the coop for the first day job they get their hands on. It's been a long time since I've learned a new job, I'm a bit nervous about it.Jacki, sure hope that proceedure is no big deal to recover from... good thoughts to you, and stock up on soft foods just in case. SF jello, string cheese, cream cheese would be good things to have in the fridge as a safety net. How's the greenhouse coming? Susan, good for you taking the time for yourself and recharging your batteries! Did your DD hire that nanny? How is it working out? I'm going to have to find a way to get some exercise now that I have a sedentary job. I'm thinking my lunch hour will be the time to do some powerwalking, but don't know WHERE since the weather won't cooperate soon. Don't want that 'secretarial spread' to creep up on me. Linda, are you recovered from your trip yet? Loretta, our leaves aren't starting to turn much yet. Today was pretty chilly and rainy so I didn't pay much attention. Supposed to be cooler (normal) temps for a while now, but we still will get Indian Summer I'm sure. Barb, show them guys how to shoot, girl! Around here, the women may not hunt as much, but we can be just as good shots as the men. Most of all, have fun! I'm off for a little lurk, y'all have a great evening!
