Wednesday for the CCM's

Is your new place of work far away from the other one Ginny? It just surprised me when you said it you wouldn't see the "old guys" again. It's best to just not wear makeup and take kleenex!!

A surge? Is when you move from one gear to another Linda? I really want a hybrid the next time, probably a Toyota or Honda. Our Speech/Language Pathologist got a Toyota this summer and I rode with her the other day. WOW! That was really nice and 60 mpg. It recharges as you take your foot off the gas. Other than that I don't understand the mechanism.

Loretta, come over here and do some baking -- we would ALL appreciate you!! I can't take too much sugar anymore - like frosting. Someone had a cake in the break room - choc. velvet, etc. That was good but I can't eat frosting

Big storm went through yesterday and cooler today! Have a great one!

Morning everyone, difficult to believe that I am up this early. LOL

The surge thing is sort of a minimal "bucking" when the car is in 2nd gear or when we turn off the cruise control. LOL maybe it's just the drivers, eh?

Barb, I would love a hybrid but DH thinks it's too soon. He wants to be sure the bugs are all worked out before we do get one.

Aww Ginny, I hope you get a chance to see the guys again. I'm sure they are going to want to keep in touch too.

I'm off to the credit union and then will pick up my mom for some retail therapy.

Later.

Hey gang!

We're looking for a cooldown soon too, hope it starts by tomorrow as I'll be wearing DECENT CLOTHES and don't wanna get all sweaty before work The new job is in a different town (we're centrally located to about 4 towns) and I'll still be on MY shift, so the likelyhood of seeing most of the guys I've been working with is minimal I'll at least be keeping track of them during football season as I'm in the football pool this year and will email my picks in!

Barb, the hybrid sounds pretty cool, but I'm with Linda on waiting till the bugs are worked out! Besides, I've never owned a NEW car, why start now

Linda, don't know what could cause the surge, but who knows how the computers are set up in these newfangled contraptions! Have fun with the retail therapy

Hope all are having a wonderful day!

HI to all

Had a busy shopping day and had to get the new tires checked for some uneven riding.
Got lots of bargains today. Can't believe it. I went to Murray a little distance from us but a nice 4 lane highway to get there. I went to WM, a nicer and bigger one than ours locally and also a Kroger's. Nice fresh meat at Krogers and better values on some items.
The tires are on our Crown Vic and are new since this August. Bumpy, ride. They were out of balance but the owner says if not happy after driving all weekend on them come back and he will put a new set on. Cooper tires.

Barb some things do taste too sweet for me now. I never could find anything that was too sweet before this wol. Maybe it is working. I found some Carb Clever peaches today that have 6 net carbs in a 1/2 cup serving.
Easier on the teeth too.

Linda I think Gerard is right on the wait for the hybrid. I also see some selling gasohol and other derivitive gasolines. 2.94 for gas in Murray.
LOL on it being the drivers. I had a problem recently and could not get that automatic shift to work. That button you push in the lever just would not work. Later I found that it was operator error. Still adjusting here.

Ginny, I can hardly wait to hear about that new job. Hope you really like it. That and dressing differently. ANy high heels for that kind of work?

Got to go, running behind.

to all.

Hi Gang of CCM's,

It was another gorgeous day up here, warm and sunny days, cooler evenings.

Ella is doing really well at her swim class dropped by the pool this morning to see them. I am walking more these days to give myself a jump start. I walked there, and walked back only about 40 minutes in all.

They were over again for supper for a visit tonight too, but DD is more aware of my boundaries now.

The "Surge"...I thought you were talking about hot flashes...for cars?

Yes, it will be a good idea to wait to see if those hybrids are reliable when all the bugs are worked out.

Ginny
Wishing you Good Luck on your first shift.
Let us know how it went.

Waving to the rest of the gang.

Hey all,

It was hard to say goodbye to 'my' guys, but it's done now! Hasn't really sunk in yet, but I'm sure when I walk into my new job tomorrow and start that it will hit me. I did keep the leaking in check as I made my final rounds I'll still stay in contact with a few of them tho, so it's not like a complete severing.

Better get some sleep!
