Oct1 for the CCMs
Hi,
Just getting us started for today. Don't forget to do those 1st of the month chores. For me it is Defrag the pc and put some Ridex in the septic system. I try to schedule some of those type of events and put reminders on my pc calander to remind me. Jackie sorry to hear about that worker there causing those problems for so many. We had a gal like that in our surgery dept. She was always on the phone with family or missing where there was work to be done. She never seemed to pull her fair share either. But she was quick to "watch" others acting many times like a supervisor. She's still there. Susun good to hear about things there in Canada. It has been getting very cool here too at night but we have not had the heat on yet. Have you had a frost? You sure will be in my prayers for a "refreshed brain" I think somedays that I need more memory installed in mine and there are many items up there I would like to delete, especially the ones I can not do a thing about. Ginny hope all is working now at the house and you have not had any more interruptions in the general working order. Barb what's going on there for you this 3 day weekend. How is the weight doing? Have a great weekend all of you. Hope things are stress free and content for you. ![]()

Good Afternoon CCMs,
Thank you Loretta for starting our thread on such a warm positive note. May I add another 1st of the month, on the to do list, your monthly breast exam. After menopause the 1st of the month is easier to remember, those of us still having Aunt Flo need to check a week after she has visited. Just my two cents. It is a gorgeous day up here so far. The Sun has been shinning all morning and Oliver is sunning himself on the deck. DH went golfing with a group of guys early this morning and we are hoping to socialize with them over at one of the guys home later this aft. It is good that DH and I, can manage to socialize again, its been a while. I need to find ME again. DD has narrowed down her search and has found a Nanny, she is 24 and DD said she has great references and knowledge. So I am hoping this all works out for them all. Thank you for the "refreshed brain" prayers Loretta. Wouldn't it be great if we could delete and install more memory, only pleasant ones. Ginny, let us know what you bought for the new job. Barb, hope you have a good book to relax with. Jacki, I bet you are glad it is weekend to get around to your home projects and forget those stressors at work. Put those tootsies up too. Hope everyone has a peaceful, relaxing weekend. SuSUN |

Hi Ladies.
Loretta, I love your avatar... ...glad you like it. Rainy but mild here in PNW. Grass is growing and 'dam*' it's too wet to mow...oh woe is me. We are taking a 'do nothing' weekend. No projects. We did go to Costco this morning---out of coffee, tp...both high priority items. hahahaha After we got home DH went to a friends and left me here in the nice quiet. Susan, it's good you've eased back on your gbaby days. It's more fun to have them when it can be spent on fun quality time. We need our quiet time more and more as we get older and little ones can surely drain the energy. Ginny, keep us updated on the new job. Barb....how come you have more school days off in Telluride than we do here??? Huh??? Now THAT'S a burning question!! The bad co-worker thing will work out. I'm venting it very well. In fact today I got an email from her. Know what I did? I removed her from my list then bounced and blocked her. She'll be asking why she's getting it back and I'll say...all sweet and stuff...'gee! I just don't know!' Witch! Do you know that she stirred up all this trouble over what would have been only $20 bucks to her? She isn't hurting for money....and IMHO I'd never complain to the union over petty stuff. They are better utilized for more important issues. I bet they have a 'Stupid Charlotte Complaints' file. Today feels like an old black and white movie watching day. This morning I did catch 'Death Takes a Holiday". Something from the '30s. You know...just having movies like that on you realize how nerve tearing newer movies can be. Loud music.....and then the commercials----they scream at you because they just KNOW you are headed for the kitchen or bathroom. Wouldn't want you to miss that important message!!!! Hey...here's a thought.....do you suppose I may be a bit cranky today????? I'll go leave y'all alone now. Waving at everyone...have a good saturday. |

Hey gang!
We have the well pump replaced and the water heater changed out. DH was sure whupped after 2 days of pulling and tugging etc. around here. I'm tickled to have RUNNING WATER again, and a dry floor in the utility room. Never thought I'd be TICKLED to do laundry I start the new job on Thursday, so today I went to town and did a little retail therapy. Bagged 2 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of dress slacks, a couple shirts, got my Sam's run done, so outside of hunting a couple shortsleeved sweater type items I should be pretty well set. I now have 6 pairs of pants in my closet that are acceptable for 'business casual', and will add blouses/sweaters accordingly. I'm pretty picky, so I think I did a good job today! Jacki, would anyone notice if you knocked the PITA over the head with a cast iron skillet? There's always one in the bunch, don't let her get you down! Your weekend sounds wonderful, just hanging around and NO PROJECTS. Susan, hope the new nanny works out for your DD. Is she planning to go back to work? I know you'll still do plenty with Ella, but it will be on your terms. Has Oliver met the new pup yet? Loretta, I'm sure the odds are against it, but I'm hoping we won't have a problem co-worker in my new office. The good thing is it's NOT dayshift, and I'll be primarily working with a man. I get along better with guys anyways, so hopefully he's got a good sense of humor (he'll need one, dealing with ME!!) and we'll get along just fine. I'm just a bit apprehensive about making this change, even tho it really feels right to be doing it. I've been at my current job for so long, I reckon it's normal to feel that way. I sure will miss some of the guys, but I won't miss the place! Time for a quick lurk, then bed. Night y'all!
