Friday last day of Sept for the CCMs

HI to all

Hope you are looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. NO travel for me this weekend and I will be happy not to go anywhere except church. I need to be quilting. The weather has turned gorgeous. Cool temps, 50 last night. Nice sunny days without humidity.

Barb I lost that upper molar tooth and it was a big help for the lone guy on the bottom to help chew. I am rethinking what to eat. Most of my lower molars are gone and only a few uppers left on the right side, none on the left. Too much bone loss now. I have been faithful about taking care of my teeth going every 3 months for cleaning and fixing what needed fixed. One thing that bothers me is that some people that wear dentures say that their food does not taste as good. Don't want that happening.

I'll probably NEVER be a grandma unless I adopt!
For a while I just had grand dogs. But look now I have 4 and soon 5 grandkids.

Jackie how did the bone grafts go? How are things at school and at the green house?

Ginny is everything fixed yet? Poor Steve, his head must be swimming with all of these problems. Hope the dock people give you a nice send off.

Later folks.
to all the past, future, and missing posters.

Evening Loretta,

Teeth are such a necessary evil, especially when it comes to chewing. I can understand why my FIL used to take his out and gum it!

Just beautiful here today -- snow on the mountains, leaves turning!!

Weather is cool at night and around 80 during the day - just right for me!

Hey all....time to check in and let you know I'm still here.

After a nice summer full of beautiful weather I think fall has set in...PNW style. Very cloudy and dreary here but at least it isn't cold........yet.

Loretta, I don't have the surgery until Oct 10th. I put in for that day and the next off from work. Don't know what to expect. My first intention was to just take the one day off...but DH, boss and co-workers all think I will need at least the second day. I'm getting pretty nervous about it.

Today was an interesting day at work...I have now affixed the title of B*tch to one of my co workers. She has been there since dirt was invented and would like to run the show..but it isn't her job to. Also, when the kitchen lead is out or if I'm out she refuses to move 'up' into those positions....but she's more than happy to try to make everyone accomadate her when she wants something. She made herself very unhelpful the other day when the kitchen lead was out a couple days due to her mom's stroke. I wish this bad coworker would have just been gone. Would have been easier without her. What a lot of trouble she made for everyone else. Then, when the kitchen lead couldn't make it to do an job interview (we have an open place in our kitchen) I was asked if I'd do it in her place. Sure! No problem! This bad coworker wasn't asked because she doesn't want move up or anything...and because the boss was informed of her causing difficulties a couple days before. She must have been nosing around my timesheet where I'd listed the time for the interview and today she asked me why I'd put it down. I told her it was because I was asked to do it. She was offended they didn't ask her so I told her to talk to the kitchen lead and the boss. Well, during her break she took it to the union and now NO ONE will get paid for their interview time...NO ONE in the district for any job interviews for any position. Like the lead told me...."thats ok...just think of it like this---she just pissed off everyone in the whole school district" I told the lead that I'd not give her the satisfaction of showing how pissed I am. Everything's fine....just fine...but, all those free plants I have been more than happy to share with my co workers---SHE GETS NOTHING from me anymore. No more. I can be nice.....I can be civil--have to be to keep the kitchen from exploding. But, no more little sharings with her...no more anything like that from me! But the others will. Yep! Yes indeedy.

Good Evening Ladies,

I just had the gas fire on for a short while to warm up the family room. DH does not want to put the heating on yet. It did get quite cool when the sun went down. Brrrrr!

DD brought Ella over for a couple of hours this morning while she ran to the hair dressers for her weekly style and blow. It was great only once this week.
I am able to focus on some of my stuff for a change. I think my sanity is returning but it is taking a while.

Loretta,
I hear ya on the teeth, I've got the missing gum tissue now. The teeth are fine but the gums have to come out! LOL! Not sure what they will do about skin grafts onto my gums. I'll go along for the appointment to find out and then think about it.
Yes, get back into that quilting I know you enjoy that. Please pray for me at mass this weekend. I need a refreshed brain that can think clearly without all the fog hanging.

Ginny,
You sound like Doris Day in "Calamity Jane," from blue jeans to pretty dress clothes. Wow, bet ya clean up just like she did. Knock 'em out!
I can hear it now, "I've just come back from the black hills...the black hills of Dakota...dee, dee, dee.
Good idea on the shopping spree. Good ideas from Barb too.
Sorry to hear your water supply is on hold.

Barb,
About never becoming a Grandma unless they adopt. This too was my scenario for the last decade before Ella came along. DS is gay so no prospects of Gbrats there. DD had major infertilty problems, lost both tubes due to ectopic pregnancies, so hopes were dashed for GrandKids, then finally on the 8th IVF try little Ella made her way here. She is now thinking of trying again before she gets much older.
Great tips for dressing for Ginny.

Jacki,
What's this about surgery on Oct 10th? Bone grafts? Where? I apologize...inquiring minds...have to know but dont need to if it is private.
Sheesh! sounds like ya work with a bad 'en there!
No dont share those baby plants with her.
Glad you shared what is going on with you. That's what is great about this BB. We let off steam and go back to our lives.

Wavin to the rest of our gang!
