Thursday for CCM's
Wonder of wonders, I'm here first again!!!
well, the well pump finally gave up the ghost It had been acting up and DH was going to pull it out this weekend and replace it, but last night as I was wanting to take a shower it wouldn't kick on. Grrrrrrrr. So, off to Lowes he goes this morning to get it and the new water heater. The pump is submersible, so it will take him some work to get it outta there. Doubt we'll have water tonight, but by tomorrow night WE BETTER!!! A couple days ago I asked him to clean and fill a plastic drum we had as a precaution (about 40 gallons) which he did, so we do have clean water for coffee (must have!), spongebaths and hairwashing, not to mention FLUSHING! It will also fill my pump up mister for the greenhouse. Thankfully we have cooler temps so the plants won't dry out much, and I was able to do a big watering on Tuesday so all should be happy with just misting for a couple more days. Yanno, it's amazing how little water it takes to clean up and wash hair. I MUST have a daily cleanup or I feel slimy! We sure take some of this for granted, huh?I am planning on doing a little clothes shopping this weekend. I have very little that will be appropriate for my new job, so I'll start at the resale shop. If I can turn a nickle into a dime, I'm a happy camper, and I'd rather someone else buy the $pendy $tuff and keep it in good shape for me to buy later, greatly reduced! I do have 4 pairs of pants that will be ok, but I'm sadly lacking in the blouse/sweater dept. Business casual is the dress code. For the last 8 years I've been a blue jeans, flannel shirts and tank tops wearer, so it will be a CHANGE to dress 'nice' and do the hose/heels thing! I'll be glad to come home clean at the end of the day tho, and I'll be able to wear some jewelry that I haven't worn in a long time for fear of damage on the dock. Loretta, much cooler here too, only in the 70's today and down into the 40's tonight I'll be bringing a jacket to work! Did you get the shrubs done? We have some need shaping too, but that will happen AFTER we get water again!Susan, good for your DD getting some outside help besides you. I'm sure you enjoy spending SOME time helping out, but you do have other considerations too. Hope she finds a good nanny/housekeeper! Did the sheets ever get straightened out? Hi to our MIA's, hope y'all are having a great day!

WOW Ginny, double trouble there with the pump and the hot water tank. You still have Murphy visiting with you.
What next?Sounds like you are gearing up for that new job and looking forward to the changes it entails. Good for you. Sometimes it is difficult to make changes like that. How long have you been working on the dock? When will you start the new job? Susun good to hear from you. Glad that you have cut back on those hours at DD;s with Ella. I think you and Dh should enjoy the time you have together, especially since you are still working too. Don't worry Ella won't forget you and she will light up when you are there. Nice and cool here. Got me a mum for the front steps of the house. Fall is beginning to feel so nice. That dang missing tooth and more problems. I cannot eat my apples. Guess I will go back to nuking them after I cut them up and put some cinnamon and cottage cheese on top. I used to eat that a while back. Have a great Thursday all. ![]()

Gee Ginny, I can relate to the water thingy. We have a pump for the well and have had that problem also. Except, I didn't save any water ahead of time. We buy all of our drinking water so that's all I have. Pretty smelly time!!
Good clothes huh? I wear causal MOST of the time and use kacki (sp) pants with a blouse belted. Now I use a neck scarf or two that helps get more dressy. I always wear comfortable shoes (no heels) with hose in the winter but dressier sandals with no hose from May until Oct. I got several long skirts for dressy with a blouse and that is really comfortable and looks quite nice I must say!! Since we have day weeks now, I wear good jeans on Thursday and that leaves three other days for dress. Nice system! Loretta, what happened with the tooth? front/side/back ???? I just had front caps re-done this summer $$$$ but it's really nice to be able to bite into things now -- before I had to be careful Hi Susan, sounds like advice telling you to leave your darling grandchild with parents -- it's difficult to back off! I'll probably NEVER be a grandma unless I adopt! Tomorrow is a day off for me ----- yeh...................
