>>New Maintainers - Wk of Sept 25<<

Va, I didn't get back to last week's thread to wish you a wonderful trip. Hope you have a great time.

Janina, hope things are going well for you.

I am not doing well with my weight. Last week, I had a day of snacking on nuts and cheese because I was craving something but just wasn't satisfied. The next day I thought that if I added more carbs in the form of cereal, yogurt, sf pudding that the craving would be satisfied. That was a big mistake. I did do an all protein day the next day but Sunday I indulged in cake/ice cream (plus I had peanut butter for a snack). Today my weight is up to 114.25. So I must get back on plan today because I cannot allow myself to get to 115 or higher. I will be in class from 8-11am and then at work until 4pm so that should make it easier to stick to plan.
Have a great Monday everyone!
Vickie

Vickie, I am sure all of the weight is water. This is the highest you have been in a long time i can see why you are alittle freaked out but you will lose the water quickly!

VA, happy anniversary to you and dh! Your daughters sound so sweet and good. Hoping Ava will be that good!

sorry this is so brief will be back later running out the door!

Just a quick check-in. My weight is at 113 Tuesday morning. I plan to have just protein/fat for the next couple days or at least until I get back under 110. Then I will add veggies back. Should be able to get in a good exercise routine today as well since I am not working today.

107 this am. I have a bit of a cold and didn't eat much yesterday and drank a ton of water. When my body weight gets too low(about 105) I seem to pick up more illness in cold season. I am going to aim to stay around 107 until we go to Hawaii then i would like to get to 105 or even below.

Need to run today..

VA..are you on vacation?

Vickie..love the new photo! It is so cute! good job on dropping the weight.

Janina, I hope you feel better soon. Do you take vitamins? Va and her dh were going to Bermuda--not sure how long they will be gone.

My weight is at 111.75 Wed morning so I am dropping the water weight. This weight gain really gave me a scare. I am continuing with eating protein/fat today and probably through Thursday. I will add veggies back on Friday.

106 today! Happy about that. i was so hungrey last night..didn't sleep well either.

Vickie, i can see how that weight gain gave you a scare. i would be scared too. The good thing is that you saw you can take it off quickly if you don't get past a certain point. I don't want to go over 110. last winter right before spring i hit 116. It was after traveling, vacations and eating to keep warm. i need to start taking my vitamins again. I drank alot of water and pushed past the cold. I do feel better. it is 80s today and my dh is taking day off to go to beach.

Check in later again..
Hope VA is having a great time in Bermuda!

Janina, congrats on getting back to 106! I too went to bed hungry last night but I was determined to tough it out. I absolutely cannot let my weight go to 115 or above. I feel fortunate that the protein/fat only eating helps bring the weight back down but I don't want to use that as a crutch either. I have just got to pound it into my head that I am on limited carbs forever if I want to stay around 110.

My weight is at 110.75 Thursday morning. I though it would be lower this morning but at least it is continuing to go down. I plan to eat just protein/fat again today but will add veggies back on Friday.

Just a quick check-in. My weight is up slightly to 111.25 but think it is because I had bacon for breakfast on Thursday and only drank 60oz of water. I plan to add veggies back to my menu today. Vickie

Hi..
I am back up also. I had cake for dinner last night. I know I am holding water from it...108 today.

It has been 80s and 90s here. A couple days ago we took Ava to the beach. it was such a nice day. It think it is starting to cool off this weekend again.

More later

I’m back. We left Sunday afternoon and DH surprised me with a night at the Ritz by the airport – I thought we were just staying at a cheap hotel! The Ritz is right inside a big mall and we walked around and did just a little shopping. I got some makeup, he got some ipod accessories and he bought me diamond earrings – nice trip! We then went into DC for dinner and out to a club – but no dancing – boohoo.

The weather in Bermuda was great. We went kayaking, swimming, worked out, played tennis and got in some great beach time. I hated leaving except to see the girls. We tried to go dancing in Hamilton but the club we tried was empty. The bartender said that it gets going around midnight – DH and I decided to just head back to the hotel because it was only 9:30! I did not eat lc or low cal but did not go nuts. I don’t want to get on the scale for a while. We are taking DH’s parents out for dinner tonight to thank them.

Hope you all are doing well.

Va, welcome back. Glad you had a good trip.

Janina, our temps didn't get out of the 60s on Friday. Glad you are able to enjoy going to the beach on a regular basis. I imagine Ave has a lot of fun there.

My weight is at 111.75 Saturday morning but I expected the jump after adding back veggies. I had a total of 4 cups of veggies on Friday. Most of it from veggie beef soup I made. Have a great Saturday everyone!

BigDD did the sweetest thing this morning. She got up and made DH and me coffee all by herself and brought it to us in bed. We had actually gotten up and I was coming down the back stairs that lead into the kitchen when her Nana saw me and whispered for me to get back to bed. She had made labels for the cream and maple syrup for DH and evening a Good Morning sign. It was just the sweetest thing!

I am off today to do errands and food shop. BigDDs bday party is next Sat and we are moving the lunch to our house so now I need stuff – she would like a piñata, etc. LilDD also needs a book by Monday – she did not want to ask her grandparents to get it this week – I sure hope I can find it.

I made a yummy bfast for DH’s folks this morning as a final send off. I made zucchini hash (zucchini, ham and onion) and served that topped with fried eggs and then toasted rustic bread on the side. By the time I was done cooking, I was not even hungry and just had ½ a muffin! My jeans were way too snug last night and the muffin this morning will not be helping. I need to get back to clean eating and exercise this weekend. We are hoping for lots of tennis because BigDD has decided that she really wants to learn – what a turn around!

Vickie – I am hoping to dive into fruit and veggies and take it easy on the protein and fat for a while – that seems to do me better. That soup sounds yummy!

Good Afternoon! We had a terrific day yesterday. Rather than doing errands alone, we all played tennis and then did some errands together and went to see ‘The Greatest Game Ever Played.’ It is just one of those ‘feel good’ movies and bigDD got to pick out her own piñata and candy. I did the food shopping this morning after early mass and now I am alternating tennis with laundry. DDs are almost done with homework – yeah!

Don’t really want to talk about weight – I think my tan is helping to hide the extra weight in my face but I sure can feel it on my body! I picked up lots of veggies and fruit at the market and will begin my healthy eating again tomorrow (I sure seem to say that a lot!)

My dryer is beeping…

Hi all,
VA your vacation sounds amazing. That is so sweet your dh bought you diamond earrings. Your daughters sound like sweethearts too. You are blessed. The weight will come off.

Vickie, it is still nice and hot here..we were in the pool yesterday. I kept my solar cover on and it is still 80s in the pool. How is your weight? Mine could be better could be worse..no complaints.

Been eating. i am 109. Yesterday we swam alot but before then Bryan and I did some strenuous gardening. My arms are so sore today. We are pulling out trees and transplanting them to the other more bare side of our yard. So far I have put two Hibuscus and a huge 6'by6' bird of paradise. I think the bird of paradise will do fine with the move as it seems hardy and the bulb has little roots. my hibisus might not make it. The trees look very wilty but they have a few sad little flowers coming up, so I think the tress is trying to make it. My mom says it might look like it is dying and then completely come back. Any imput? I hope they make it. Anyways we have a corner area over that is raised higher and overlooking the canyon. The pervious owners had filled it with plants and trees. I don't understand at all as it will be the perfect place for a pool house. We are doing one that is closed in back and open facing pool but we have alot of work to get there. I still have about 9 yucca trees that will need to be professionally taken care of and removed. I am not replanting those. Our lot is good size by CA standards(8,000) but to have any misused sq footage is a waste of space. I have all of my nice smith and hawkins ourdoor furnature right outside my sliding door. To have a pool and sitting area will be awesome. We had to completely redo the builtin as it came in wrong. Still waiting for that. My husband i I picked an all granite surface much like a nice kitchen rather then a intricate pattern with palm tress or two tones. My stone surrounding pool is grey brown and cream with slight mustard accents. The grantite will match and be solid counter. Very subtle and rich looking.
Whew well I sure got talking about all of this. It has been a huge and expensive project. Just my outdoor bar chairs are 2,000 dollars. Just for the chairs..ouch. I want it right as we are building our back to last a life time. We spent so many hours outside so far in this house. i have had so many swim dates here. I like spending as much time as possible outside.

Speaking of which it is hot today and my yard needs more work. See you guys later

J
PS you guys want to have a mini challenge this week? i want to lose about 3 lbs this week....
