SAPPHIRE TUESDAY for the MVM

Good morning kids,

It's already 90 and white foggy hot so today will be a dilly, perhaps the worst so far.

Weight at 207 and I'm full of water that feels so awful. I'm hoping today's 40 minutes on the stationary bike will drain some off. I have YET to do a big tea day but today I WILL remember. Tea just doesn't come naturally for me. It's been 6 days off the BP meds and my pressure is hugging 140/90. Not startling, but not really too bad either. We have started in vacation mode mentally so I am having 3 glasses of wine (432 calories) after my workout for the last 2 afternoons. Now if I could ONLY stay there. Hey guys, let me recommend again: for the BEST bargain in a VERY nice tasting red wine try a jug od Carlo Rossi PAESANO...it's unbelievable and better than ANYTHING we get in a restaurant as the house red. Four liters goes for the princely cost of $8.99!

Julie,
Goodness, what a nice place to lunch. Is there a ROAD to the summit of Mt. St. Helens or do you hoof it? I'll look for you on the SCREENCAM!

Jackie,
Nice macro lens...did you do the focusing or count on the auto focus? I have the skopsia as my desktop already.

No plans for us today...we'll just bask in the KEWL! (I SHOULD empty the deep freeze and defrost...we were running in for popsicles all summer and the ice and snopw is getting pretty thick.

To all a good day.

Oh,
THESE were all over the City Hall lawn...gee they looked appetizing:

their name gives away the game:
Amanita virosa or DESTROYING ANGEL!!!!!!!!!!
It was the whitest white you can ever find in nature...just like DEATH!

I'll start the thread today!! Wish I could have a snappy title for it like Zip does, but, not enough coffee in me and it IS only 5:19 am. Hard to be clever that early. guess Zip beat me... moved this to his thread.

The perioD. says I have to have some surgery in several areas of my mouth. He wants bone grafts to replace the bone loss. I think it's heriditary since all my relatives had false teeth or only a few teeth. I think with my dental insurance the costs should be 'relatively' low. Ya, I can only hope.

I'm glad y'all like my photos..feel free to use them as you wish. If you sell any make sure to send me .50 cents, OK?

I'm taking a walk along the dike this morning with a friend. Before it gets so hot. Last night after DH got home we put the AC back in the window. I told him this time it STAYS in the window! We'll wrap that sunny beach for the winter but it STAYS in the window! Huge monstrosity...but it does blow a cold wind!

Hope all have a nice morning and a happy day. I'll be in and out.

Great photo of the mushrooms! I used the auto on my macro....I haven't practiced using manual setting. The few times I have they've turned out reallllly bad. I finally took the instruction manual out of the bag and have it open. That counts doesn't it??

Is that Carlo Rossi Paesano a dry red or a sweet red? Red wine is my fav but I can't stand sweet wine. Just my preference.

Quick run through. Zip, no we can drive up to Johnston ridge observatory. Thats where we'll picnic. Geez, in my drinking days I sure did love Carlo Rossi.

Bought our tickets for Vegas last night so DD better not screw with me. I can still stay home but hate to lose the $400.00 bucks.
I sure appreciate all you advice. Barb, I can be nice but don't cross me. I'll be on my best behavior but I don't have to be buddy buddy. I'm having lunch with DS1 on Friday and decided not to say anything.

Hi Jackie...love seeing you here so early in the morning. your mouth problem doesn't sound fun. I had grafts but just gum ones off the roof of my mouth. Wasn't too bad, just sounded bad. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Off to the mountain I go....

I guess I posted on yesterdays thread thinking it was today. I'm lost but if anyone finds me let me know where I'm at.

Morning you oldies but goodies! I'm ONLY 20, in mind, with a multiple of 3 plus 1 !!! Ginny is just a young pup? I'm jealous.

Fire is getting under control but the smoke is enough to kill one. We need some RAIN badly. 103 today and 104 tomorrow with a real cool down of 99 after that.

Julie, ditto what everyone else said about DD and family. There are nine of us and whenever someone tries to get ALL of us to get along, that person ends up with mud on their face. It ain't going to happen!

We can pick our friends, we didn't pick our family! I'm not FRIENDS with all of my family. My mom thinks that we should all be friends because we have the same parents. I disagree.

Jackie, just simply beautiful pictures !!

Linda, human oddities? That sounds worse! I can't imagine that shows can get away with it now days.

Shawnee, I agree on the "real" life of the old west. "Deadwood" was on HBO and we got the DVD's for Season 1. Now, if you can take the language, that really shows life in a lawless town. Since it takes place in the Black Hills with our lust for gold, we also have the ruthless execution of the American Indian from those darn hills!

Ginny, sent an email.

SuSUN and Liz, how goes it?

Nothing new, strange, or different here. Keep cool and have a good one!

Hi Barb, Julie, Jackie,

Unbelievably hot (94) and humid (80%) today...warnings on Weather Channel to stay indoors. I almost fell over in the Shop-Rite parking lot because I wanted their 1/2 price roasted red peppers that they were out of on Sunday.

I use the A/C on high with the thermostat on "always on" because it dehumidifies best that way. When I get cold I shut it off. Well, I'm sitting at the desk shirtless and I have NO urge to shut it off, usually by now I'd be freezing....it MUST be hot (save us from a grid failure, God! )

Working up nerve to split Phonecia and give her a clone to love!

Hi Ya Gang o' Sapphires!

A sparkling Tuesday to one and all!

Sorry couldn't seem to get here the last couple of days! Bin doing chores and stuff. The heat is not letting up! Sheesh, too bad we can't bottle this for January!

Roger,
Hope you can shed that water on the bike today! or, go to the water shed...
I am still losing slowly, at least it is going in the right direction.
Lovely pic of that Angel of Death shroom!

Jacki,
So glad to have you posting with all your creative skills, sure brightens up our lil' BB.
Sorry to hear about the mouth problems, hope the Sx goes smoothly.
Gotta go back a few days to catch up and to check your photos.

Barb,
I have an eighty plus friend, she is the one that sent me the email on "Winter is here..." her fav songs are, from Peter Pan, You're never too old to be young, and " I never want to grow up." She quotes it everytime someone tells her to act her age. So, glad to hear you are 20 agin!

Julie,
Good fer you going to the Wedding. I hope all goes smoothly, keep content and in the moment. I know easier said than done.
I remember past hurts and I get sentimental with the past, but I keep reminding myself we are in the present...hard one to put into practice, a constant challenge.

Wavin to the rest of our gang!

SuSUN

Hi
Hope I am on the right day here

Sunday we had about 14 people here. Cooked 2 hams, which are gone now except for the bones. Good to make some ham and bean soup with.
We have had an exchange of company, some left some new ones arrived. One night several went to stay at a local motel since they did not want to share the floor. Good night. One gal wanted to sleep with the tv on. Guess we all get our sleeping habits.

Marcia has been worn out. They have taken her most places except for tonight. They are going to the gambling boat. I am happy that they have visited with each other.

Marcia is the one in the cowboy (girl) hat.

Jackie I love the pictures and have your bumble bee on my desktop.
Thanks for publishing them.

Julie just KISS about DD's wedding.

Hope to catch up soon. The final batch is leaving Thursday am. After I catch up with the house, I should be back to be with you all whole heartedly.

to those that need them.

Hi Y'all

Nice day here, in the Eighties...sorry Zip ..that you are roasting your Bums off. Nice deadly 'shrooms, quite attractive.

LOL, Loretta...I knew you'd particularly love the BEE pic of Jacki's.
Thanks for the family pic. Are these all your DH's ?
You will be saying TGIF when it comes!

Jacki...OUCH! When does this procedure start? What will you eat (be able to eat)? Love your new lil Shed.

Hey SuSUN, good to hear your scales are shaping up and going in the downward direction

Julie, hope your St Helens day was GREAT!
Girl, ya got the Tickets...USE them, whether ya attend the wedding or not.

Hey Barb...sadly, "real life" and bad people go back to the Old Testament...or whichever the Beginnings of Time/Life ya prefer.
That Deadwood sounds like a worthwhile watch.
Good to hear your local fire is controlled, but that damned smoke...

Hey to all I missed, see ya tomorrow.

Shawnee

Oh and Shawnee, that thing I was "holding" was just the yellow.... behind me on that carnival ride.

Loretta, nice family picture... hope you get some rest.
