FRIDAY for the VETERAN MAINTAINERS
Good morning all.
Whether it was the HUGE salty Indian meal or the humid low pressure, I am retaining SO much water that every joint hurts. I hate it when I can see a couple creases on the back of my wrist. My weight soared 3 pounds and Bob's 2 and he NEVER responds to salt. Thiazide first thing this morning. Isn't it reassuring that after 4 years of having our rights encroached, with feds snooping everywhere including our library records and bank accounts, with detention without charges thus scrapping the Bill of Rights and indefinite torture over years has resulted in NOT HAVING A BLOODY CLUE ABOUT A WELL ORGANIZED MAJOR ATTACK ON A MAJOR CITY. Hours and hours and millions and millions wasted in airline inspections and lo, they attack trains and buses...well, DUH! Thank you George Bush...let's have another speech about how well it's all going! The way to end bombing of Western cities is to STOP BOMBING MUSLIM CITIES and get Western troops and the thieving oil companies they prop up OUT of the Muslim Holy Lands. How would WE accept foreign army troops roaming Philadelphia and Atlanta with no plans of ever leaving who are propping up a puppet government that would ship all our natural resources to benefit foreigners at pennies on the dollar and shooting and torturing our citizens at will while yammering nonsense about "freedom" and "terrah." When George Bush SENIOR invaded IRAQ in 1991 he signed the death warrant for millions of Americans over decades and decade...his demented son is continuing the stupidity They want foreign troops OUT and really, not much of anything more. <End of political rant, but anyone blaming the Muslims for defending their own lands from invading forces always gets me going...like people blaming Sitting Bull for trying to slaughter the cavalry!> OY, My gym freeze expires today so I am OFF to the gym...boy, is it ever going to be a super-light workout. Maybe an hour in the steam room and sauna will drain of some of this achy bloat.

Good Morning Gang!
Looks a tad cloudy today, nice temp though! Yes, I agree about the safety of swimming lessons. I checked the local pool they have Aqua Tots (1), so thats a good place to start. Thanks again Shawnee for the reminder. We had that on our hit list but over the winter months it slipped right off. Roger, Great going on the weight loss. Linda, Thanks for the site to remove those squiggles! I did it! I have the site bookmarked from Roger a few weeks ago but never had the time to go see how it worked. Thanks for the reminder. Opppps! Door bell.... Waving to Y'all quickly! SuSUN |

Good morning everybody.
It's a cool, rainy day here and I LOVE it. I hate the heat and humidity. Just a laid back day for me cleaning out a few cabinets, burning lots of old bank statements, old news paper articles I saved for who knows what, and then reading for a few hrs. ![]() If any of you haven't yet tried our Ginny's home made soaps, please do. They are absolutely wonderful and make your skin feel so soft. I tried a shower gel last night and wow! Roger, too bad you couldn't fit into the Junior size shorts for women. I was looking at shorts for myself and thought "holy cow" these are really short ![]() Sorry about that bloat both you and Bob are suffering from. Hope the HCT takes care of it quickly. I seem to remember some nasty hijackings of ships and planes, in the 70's, carried out by Middle Eastern extremists, and still feel that they want all with western values and culture dead or on our knees on a prayer rug. Naturally the women in berkas. I was married to an old world Greek who thought the same.."our culture is the only right way and everyone else is wrong and needs to change or die" except he was an orthodox Christian.HA! Anyway that's just my opinion. Nuff said.Susan, glad you will find that site useful. It's a wonderful tool. Waving to all. I'm off to the burn barrel. |

Hey, weren't the bloodiest wars ever fought fought between the two major branches of the SAME religion, Chrstianity: Catholic and Protestant..."FAITH AND MORALS is required for salvation"; "NO, ONLY FAITH is required for Salvation"...and they're OFF to the Hundred Years' War and then the Thirty Years' War (which the U.S. Revolution was a distant echo of.) Perhaps that's why the Founding Fathers had the good sense set up a country that was FREE FROM religion, however long THAT will last. Of all the things I thought I'd NEVER die of, being burned fopr heresy was NO.1. I guess I might have to rethink that.
God, the rain is SO heavy here all day; if it doesn't end soon the wealthier areas of the state will have to get to the Malls in YACHTS. "Avast matey, pick up some BRIE and RYKRISP as you sail by the Appetizer counter. !"Really Susun, hardly a day goes by when I don't have to look up something on the USDA site and I've never had problems. Susun, I double-checked my ancient addy and I noticed that it is referred to another (always almost instantly) perhaps you have something blocking that referral so go HERE directly and see if it is better: http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/ Dennis is alread a STRONG Class 4 and is just 5 mph. from being a KILLER Class 5 hurricane! Shaping up to be an "exciting" hurricane season. ![]() Last edited by zip2play : 07-08-2005 at 10:58 AM. |

Julie,
If you still are bothered by the infected file that Norton can't repair, just open NORTON ANTI VIRUS>>REPORTS>>QUARANTINED ITEMS and delete the file manually. Sometimes Norton tries too hard to fix these things which are usually junk from the get-go! Hey Shawnee, How does your garden grow? ![]() Linda, Did you get as much rain as we did? I'm making STROGANOFF with a nice piece of Top Round I bought last week. I skipped lunch and my stomach is growling so we will dine before 4. If I had my way, I'd have sour cream on EVERYTHING but I must, alas, treat is as a VERY occasional delicacy! It's the perfect sauce base for all meat, and even fish! edit: A NEW DISCOVERY. I opened the sour cream and it was GREEN, PURPLE, RED and FUZZY. OOps. Since I use flour wine and brothe to slow cook the meat in, it was a little too thick to serve without thinning with SOMETHING. I trepidacuiously used non-fat half and half because someone on another board said it works...it DID! And the calorie count was SLASHED (Stuff is 20 calories per ounce.) Shawnee, beautiful pic of your posies.
Zip, after a whole day of trying to find the damn file, I finally did and deleted it. Had to go to a bunch of computer sites to ask questions but good ole worldstart gave me the answer. Great people over there. Norton didn't have anything in quarantine. I could not do anything with it in Norton. Not sure why. I just got 2005. |

Good evening folks......
Beautiful flowers Shawnee!! I didn't think of junior sizes - are they also made for men? (shorts) It would be nice to have one day of steady rain! Maybe? NOT! I really like our sunshine everyday even though we are dry. We only have two wildfires in the state right now, so that's not too bad. SuSUN, I put my DD into swim lessons as soon as she could "breathe" and she ended up on the aquatic team for HS. It's never too early to start. Till the morrow....... |
