We had our cookout Sunday so today will be a quiet one for me. My weight was at 109.75 Sunday but is at 111 today. My goal this week is to get back below 110.

We are back from the beach. I did exercise almost every day. I ran a bunch and DH and I played lots of tennis. We did not have the greatest weather but made the best of it and had lots of great family time. I ate terribly - we found a little bakery that we hit almost every day.

Now I am swamped with work and need to get my eating back under control. I feel pretty crummy today from lack of sleep combined with bad eating. We have been up until after midnight all weekend. We came back right to a 40th bday party and then last night decided to stay home an watch God and Generals rather than going to a fireworks display. DH did not realize it was over 3 hours! We were not even through the movie and it was midnight.

I need to get DDs up now - we all need to reset our internal clocks plus I have tons of work to catch up on.

I now have 6 pounds to lose - yuck! I am pounding water and already have on my running clothes.

Vickie, how was your cookout?

I had a great three day weekend. my mom was here, we shopped alot. I am trying to make sure I have everything I need for the next 3 months of hot weather when all of the stores will start carrying back to school items.

B and I celebated out first date anniversary this weekend. We went out to two dinners and two movies while my mom was here with A. It was fun. We swam all day in our pool and jut relaxed. my pool water is 82 and that is just from it being covered and warming with the sun. He asked if I wanted jewellery but I desided to redo our bedroom. I found the nicest bedding at Linens and things. After realizing the bed would cost 675 to completely do i found the whole lot cheaper on the net. Gotta love that. Also bought some lamps and a 36 inch lovers statue on overstock.com It is two lovers holding the world together in thier hands. Love it. It is nice to be more in love with dh then 7 years ago.

Went to the beach today with some friends. They drove and wanted to stay all day. A and I usually stay about 2 hours. I am fried and I wore 30...

My weight is 110. I did eat cake and rice with sushi but really didn't over eat. Just got tom today so I know at leat two lbs is water. Back on protein today so that I will be 105 by this sunday.

Va, welcome back! Sorry you didn't have better weather. I know it's hard getting back on track but you can do it.

Janina, we enjoyed our cookout. I didn't overdo it on the eating but I did have some low carb choc cake I made. Congrats on the anniversary! Have fun with the decorating.

I am at 110.75 Wednesday morning. I am working on portion control right now. I did good with it on Tuesday but I was hungry. After work, I went to the track for a 1 mi run then came home and worked in my flower beds until late. I didn't eat dinner until 8:30pm but that helped me in keeping portions under control because by that time I wasn't very hungry. I think I will continue to delay my dinner and see if that helps.

I got in a good workout last night and then we all went food shopping. The only bad thing about it was that I got to bed late again and am really tired today. I feel kind of hot and woozy but there is too much work to do to take a break. I know that part of it is cutting way down on carbs and down on cals but I am keeping my water high. I dropped 1.5 pounds over night. I usually drop the water pretty quickly so by tomorrow I should see how much real fat I have to lose. I checked my weight log and I was already 3 pounds above my 130 goal before vacation so I am actually shocked that I did not put on more. I may settle down to just that same 3 pounds to move. I would like to get it off before I head to NY next Thursday. Totally doable if I drink my water, exercise and eat well. We have not parties or events before then so that will help.

Vickie - We eat around 5:30 or 6:00 during the school year but do eat later during the summer. It helps me not be as hungry at night too.

Janina - Your anniversary sounds terrific! DH and I just past 15 and we feel the same way you and B do - isn't it great!

Weight is the same today as yesterday. I did eat pretty lightly yesterday but got no real exercise in (other than baseball) and ate way too many grapes. Fruit is usually fine with me because it is low cal but I think I went over my limit. I have my workout clothes on already and plan to run during lunch. I keep working straight through the day and need to learn to just stop for a while.

Any fun weekend plans anyone? I think we will just be hanging out - yeah!

Off to check on DDs and get back to work -

Hi all,
108 today. TOM is throwing my weight off a bit and I still seem to be holding onto some water weight. I will do protein also tomorrow and see if i can reach 106 by Saturday.

I have an interesting weight situation with my best freind. She has gained about 5 lbs. i would say she is 110 to 113 and I have lost 5 lbs. 105 to 109. She always will talk about sizes in the respect like I am one size bigger. it kindof bothers me that she would say it although I don't mind saying it myself. The other day I ordered some new denim shorts on ebay. my freind said to order up a size as they run really small. i told her what size i bought and that they were huge..and she said..well that is strange because i am the 26(one size smaller then I bought) and they fit fine. Well hello I am thinner then she in now although she has thinner thighs then me. I don't mind that she is younger by 8 years then me and will always give her what she has..but I have busted my butt off and i am thinner now. I know it is petty but she has made the she is smaller remarks more then a few times..let it go or say something?

A and I are staying in today. maybe swimming maybe I will just putz around the house and do a bit of organizing. We have been beaching it, going to Karate, dance, playdates, the park and swimming her EVERYDAY..I am a bit tired! i am working tomorrow and going to redo my little store..it has been weeks and B said it needed my help. B is taking A to Karate and work and I will be on my own.

my backyard redo is coming along great. B desided to do some of the flooring for the palapa cabana as our costs with all of the upgrades on barbecue is skyrocketting. I am hoping to have it done by August as it would give me a bit longer to enjoy this year. Here summer are good and warm until mid Oct.

Va, your weight willl get there. I need to figure out what i can add on protein or midweek days to stilll lose. i love fruit. i would do the same with the grapes and eat a huge bag..yummy! And not sugar! Your weekend sounds great. A will be at my moms for 24 hours. I am hoping to have a barbecue on Sunday with a small group of friends.

where is everyone else..stop by and tell us what is going on!

Hi all,
I am so starving. it is day three of all protein. I want and really have to do it one more day...but i am barely hanging on this week. I am hoping scale is kind tomorrow morning. It is amazing how some weeks staying on plan is so easy and other weeks pure torture. Have a good night all!

Janina, hang in there and the weight will drop again. Try not to let the friend's comments bother you. Some people feel the need to be really competitive.

Va, I don't have anything exciting planned for the weekend. The weather is supposed to be nice so I will definitely be outside.

My heart goes out to the people of London. Hope the authorities there can determine quickly who is responsible.

My weight is at 110 Friday morning. I am really watching portion sizes now but it is hard--I have been really hungry. I have not snacked at all the last three days.

Well, we went out for dinner last night and I thought I ordered a low cal salad but did not realize that the chopped chicken in it would come drenched in bbq sauce. That bbq sauce did me in. The scale is up ½ pound today but it should be down with the clean eating and exercise. I guess I am stuck around 134.5 and will need to deal that these last 5+ pounds are now real fat.

DH is away today and the weather here is terrible. We had heavy rain all night. Right now it is clear but we are due for 3+ inches later today. He already called to let me know what to do if the pool starts overflowing.

I am hoping to get through just the required work today and then take DDs shopping. Kohls is having big sales and DH needs some shorts and they just want to get out. I hope I can stay away from the icecream place -

Janina - I would not either not say anything or make a comment that you are both now the same size. Sounds like this friend might not like being told she is now bigger than you.

Vickie - Snacking is so hard to stop. All the low carb snacks are fattening for me (cheese) and the low cal ones are high carb (popcorn) so the only thing left is veggies and that is what I have for dinner already. I have been snacking on fruit lately which tastes great but it is not helping me lose. I sure wish this were easier!

OK - back to work for me -

Hi all!
106.6 today...looks like another protein day for me to get around 105.
Going to work later today. Got some great new stuff in! Ava will got to dance with me than B will pick her up, I work and later they will go to Karate. At this poing she could drop dance and not miss it, but I have all of these cute dance clothes for her. Her Karate instructor already moved her to her next belt. it took her friend two months to get there, although we are very consistant with going so that might be it. But it is cute because he always uses Ava as an example even when the kids are sometimes older. B(who is a brown belt) took her the other day and said she had great form and flexiblity and picked up on it really fast. All i know is she is in heaven when she is at karate. I am so happy she loves it and it will teach her some form of defense..with all of these weirdos out there.

As far as my friend..well for four years she has been the super thin one. When we shop i always look for a 0 or 2 when she is looking for 00. She has gained weight being in a relationship and happy. She was on the too thin side but it does look good on her to be very thin as she looks waifish. She recently made a remark when she was in her work office and I was visiting in front of someone about her wearing and buying the smaller size of jean I was trying on. her employee said,"are you sure?" and rolled her eyes. It was offensive then. I wish she would just stop as at this point I am just biting my tounge to be nice but her comments flow freely as she is used to be the skinney one. When we are together I am always eating only protein while she eats muffins and bread and pasta..yummy stuff. i just want her to stop making the comments as it is starting to hurt my feelings and I am wondering how she sees me in her eyes?

Hitting 40 this year i have had to have the reality check that I don't look like I did 10years ago. I think we see ourselves as we were and then one day the reality hits. I have been dealing with reality for awhile now...I.E the eye surgery. Getting older is not the best. I am trying to handle what i can handle gracefully and then fight the rest as hard as i can. I will do pre photos and after photos. i have been looking at before and after...wow! I hope for those results! I have to work harded at losing and I deserve the body I have. I work hard! I pass up so much good stuff during the week.

Vickie, I hear you about the people in London. I don't want to get in a political conversation but I support our troups there and lost some friends in 9/11. it is amazing how people forget. These people are evil and scary and my heart goes out to thier familys!

VA, snacking is my weekeness too because i have no portian control! I was telling B I wouldn't have to do protein all of the time i I knew how to eat small balanced meals..and it bugs me. It should be easy and its not! I love Kohls. So many stores are having sales now. I am stocking up.

Hi all, this is my 5th protein day. I am weighing 105 at night. We will see what the scale says tomorrow. I want to keep on going and try to get to 103 but my dh is set on taking me out tomorrow for dinner and he wants me to eat. He brought me a gold sequin brallian bikini today as a surprise. I love it. what a sweetie and I actually look decent in it.

what are you guys doing this weekend?
Vickie, great job on getting under 100 this week. Howe was your eating today?
