It's hard to believe this is the last week of June--the summer is going by too fast! I am really sore from lots of gardening this weekend. I will be working every day this week. My wt was 108.75 Sunday and 109.25 today. Need to get in my exercise today. Have a great Monday everyone! Vickie

Morning all!

Running day for me today .. I did 10 miles yesterday and have at least another 4 or 6 set for today. Had a good high protein/fat breakfast to fuel me, so I can't wait to get out there!

Down to 93 pounds this morning. Haven't been too hungry lately. DD is battling severe ulcerative colitis and is losing weight and is anemic .. that has me very concerned. Her colonoscopy last week was frightening .. the doctor prescribed meds which seem to be helping, but SLOWLY .. please say a prayer for her .. Her name is Sara and she's an absolute angel. Thanks guys.

I have a midnight run coming up on July 4th -- a 10k along the beach which should be fun. Last year I did the 3k, but this year, its all or nothing! Gotta stay motivated for that marathon that will be coming up sooner than you think!

Hope you all have a terrific week!

Betty

Betty, for Sara for healing. So sorry she is going through this. I wish I was as dedicated to running as you are. That definitely helps to keep the lbs down. I was at 110.5 this morning but I had a lot of calories/carbs yesterday with cottage cheese and walnuts and a huge salad for dinner. Need to cut back on food this week as we will have a cookout on Sunday and I will most likely make a lc almond pound cake with strawberries and whipped cream.

Vickie, thank you so much for your prayers for Sara. She is currently taking Asacol (prescrip) and I'm also a believer in the Omega 3s, so she's taking 4 grams of fish oil a day. So far, the bloody diarrhea has subsided, although she is still a bit weak. I also found interesting info at the www.molocure.com website, so I ordered a month's supply of that. Sounds promising! I know if I could convince her to do 100% Atkins and omit the junk foods, that would help alot. Seems I've got her attention about her eating habits now, so pray it continues! She is eating more vegetables, whole grains, and has actually ELIMINATED FRENCH FRIES! Amazing, eh?

No run for me today. I did 6 yesterday, so 16 in two days is more than enough. My weight continues to drop, partially from a lack of appetite and the rest from stress. I guess I should be glad I'm not an emotional eater. Quite contrare...I haven't felt like eating in weeks. But DH says if I drop any lower than where I am now (92.5), he's taking me to an eating disorder place. Not a chance, baby. I'll eat when I need to and when I have to.

Betty, my thoughts and prayers for sara! Good job on the running! You rock!

Vickie, I agree the summer is flying. Ava and I are heading to the beach today. The other moms think it is too much to pack up to go, are they nuts!

I am 106 today. My carb cycling is working, just like it did last year. I ate mexican and pie and cake on the weekend. I wasn't supper hungry so i just ate what i wanted then stopped. I was 108 friday, 110 on Sunday and 106 today after all protein yesterday. My body responds well to being shook up and going high and low carb and since I am not a strict atkins preson it works perfectly. 106 feels good and I have no tummy. I am 7 days from tom so if weight goes up, I need to prepare.

OK going to the beach..

Hi all,, I am still around. Ihave been just so busy lately that I have not even been on the computer. If I am not at work I am outside as much as possible,, I hate when I have to be in to clean the house. I am off today but have to get a haircut,, pick up the title to my sons car,, make phone calls, do laundry, etc. geez. I wish I was headed to the beach like Janina is. I wish that I also had no tummy like her. I am always bloated. I wake up flat, but as soon as I eat anything, pop goes the tummy. Oh well. I did a 5 mile run t his morning, it was so humid, I dont know how you do it Betty, that Florida heat has got to be so much worse than what we have. My dh and I did get in 2 nice runs in the mountains last week, nice and cool, but alot of hills. We are getting prepared to run the philadelphia distance run in Sept, it is a half marathon, we usually do Va beach, but decided to stay closer to home this year. We go to capemay NJ, July 16 for a week, I cant wait, I am making some LC things for me to take so I can stay on track . I just have to make sure my sister and her kids dont eat my stuff,,haha. We are having a cookout and poolparty sunday and setting off some "good" fireworks that we managed to get a hold of, so I got to clean up the house for that. I wish I had a house cleaner. Betty I am also sending prayers for your dd, I hope she is feeling better. I will talk to you all later, Brenda

WOE: 4 day atkins low cal/3 day regular eating matience

Hi All,
I reached my magic number this am. 105. It has taken me almost a year to get back to this number. I am beyond happy. I really thought my body wouldn't get there again. The carb cycling did it for me. I did it last year with that. I might try to get to 103 and keep my high weight 110 but my dh is keeping a pretty good eye on me and doesn't want me to get carried away. 105 is truely the prettiest weight for my body..now all I have to do is stay here. That is a breaze..not! lol. Today we are going to the fair. I am eating today whatever i want and doing two protein days tomorrow. A is really excited to go. The beach yesterday was awesome. A does like it when she has a friend to build sand castles with all day. I did it yesterday and I really don't know how these kids dig all day, but it was so fun. I am going there all summer..with or without buddies.
My mom is coming over for the 3 day weekend. i am excited to see her. It is me and Bs 7 year "first date" anniversary July 4th. We went out before as firends. Poor guy was in love. i was stupid. But after his 4th of July party 7 years ago i have not been away from him any nights execpt for when my aunt died. I am more in love now with him.

BRENDA!! good to see you!! sounds like you have been so busy. I am glad you get some time off soon!

Ann, good to see you also.

Betty, how is dd? I keep thinking and praying for you guys. Have you still be getting your runs in to relieve stress?

Hoping VA is having a blast..

see you later
J

Janina, good luck with the eye surgery,, I am sure it will be a cinch. Wow, 105! I will never see that weight, I was once 108 but looked anorexic, (however you spell that) I would love to stay at 115 or 114,, we shall see.

Brenda, I am so much shorter then you. remember I am 5'2. If I drop farther then 105 it looks bad in my face. Honestly i still have about 2 lbs in my thighs but I am just not going to make myself crazy..i said 105 and now that i am here I am going to be happy with it. have a great day off and fit in something nice for yourself...

Janina, congrats on getting to the 105. The wt you picked up since then will drop back off. Best wishes on the eye surgery. I need to have that done too but just can't get the nerve to do it just yet.

Betty, continued prayers for Sara.

Brenda, sounds like you have been really busy. Have a great time for your party today (Sunday).

My wt has been up and down this week but I am at 109.75 Sunday morning. We are grilling steaks/hamburgers today. I might make a lc choc pound cake today but I need to try to not go overboard with eating today to keep close to 110.

Have a great Sunday everyone! Vickie
