MVM WEDNESDAY, 5/25/2005
Good morning gang,
First order of business, make sure you get the CRITICAL SECURITY UPDATES from MS. One is for IE6 SP1 (KB890923) and the other is for the half of us still using WinME called KB891711. Only takes a couple minutes but requires a restart. Weight held at 212# so that's my test that it's REAL. Knowing me, I think I;ll be looking at that number for a WHILE before it starts moving again. After all, I cannot expect the 2 lb. a day rate to continue...It violates the laws of thermodynamics . Yesterday's 2152 calories was ok...and it allowed 4 mini Butterfingers and a few Tbsp lemon sherbet (3 ounces actually.) BOTH are the result of A&P's triple value coupons...damn them! Our "Nor'easter" is giving us a gloomy light rainy day today...but hardly what ANYBODY could call a STORM! Maybe Boston is getting worse. Linda, you having much? Bob took the day off but he's doing some charity work later this morning but Ill have company much of the day. I'll bang out the gym while he's gone...time for a HEAVY weight day...I do that once or twice a week to JAR the muscles into growth (or at least avoiding loss.) SO FAR he will be off for most of June especially if they hire the customary 2 summer interns. Keep fingers crossed. OHHH, today is check day. I'll check my balance at the cash machine (bank is across the street from the PATH entrance) and if it's pouring, I'll try the voice system via phone. Old bank was just bought by a new one (Haven't they ALL ) and I don't even know the new retrieval system NUMBER. Curiosity is killing me...after all, I waited 62 years for this day. Like my 40 year wait for Halley's comet and that turned out to be a total dud! Have a nice day kids; I'll be back later.

YES JULIE ON A 61 YO!!!! IT WOULD LOOK SO GOOD. My friend is 55 & she looks great. She says it's so nice in the summer. One good cut in Spring is all she needs. Wish I could show you a pic of her. Talk to the hairdresser, see what he/she says. I like male hairdressers, they seem to like trying the latest styles.
Susun, You & DH r in my prayers today. I know you must be at the hospital now and may not check in, but I am praying for your family. Took my Sister out for her B-Day last night. She's 43 We're gaining on ya all. Anyhow, we shared the spicy shrimp, & spicey squid. OMG IT WAS AWESOME! Then we each had a salad of fresh greens, i.e. radichio, baby spinach with fried goat cheese sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. AND what's a B-Day celebration without a glass of Shiraz and today I'm holding at 132! Ya, I'd like to be smaller, but my LOVE of food gets in the way. But I'm back at it today. Never quit quitting.Watched the Travel Channel last night, it was all about "Chicago". Heard the story of Mrs. O'Leary's Cow Seriously, the fire destroyed the City, but u should see it now. It's Skyscraper heaven and I can see why they call it the "I will" City. b/c they are strong and proud. I'm excited to add this experience into my life journal.Take care. Liz |

I'm out of bed but not functioning fully yet. Where is that coffee???
Liz, canceled my hair cut...will see how long I can go before I yell, CUT IT!! Will think about the spike thingie. Need to find a different hair dresser thats for sure. Need to go to the mall, look around and find someone's head that I like, then stop them, ask them where they get their hair cut. Geez, am I nuts or what?Sunshine and 76 today. My golly, haven't seen the 70's for so long. Will be a perfect day for DH and I to ferry across to Seattle for DS2 belated birthday celebration. (just late lunch) Sure feel muscles that were long forgotten after yesterday's yoga class. I love it BTW. Roger, envy your check coming in today. Linda's and mine aren't far away. Well mine won't be til Oct. but close considering that 62 yo wait!! Barb, I remember your hair is cut short too. I think it's about time you got a pic up in your avatar. We haven't seen you in ages!!! SuSun, keeping DH in our thoughts this morning. If I'm not exhausted from walking all those hills in Seattle I'll be back later tonight. Enjoy the day and keep on smiling. ![]()

Hi again,
Liz, Sorry we can't find anything in Chicago that is a musical that is apt to be more enjoyable than THE LION KING or MENOPAUSE,THE MUSICAL. THE DOLL'S HOUSE just opened but that's deadly serious stuff...and a downer unless you like conniving heroines who ruin their husband's life and commit suicide ![]() ! Chicago isn't Broadway!![]() Lion King gives women some good eye-candy: ![]() Julie, Thanks for the reminder to walk over to the bank (legs pooped from the gym but I can manage 500 steps!) We got a damp, windy 50 degrees today...ran to gym in shorts and a tanktop and almost FROZE. Last edited by zip2play : 05-25-2005 at 12:40 PM. |

YAAAY,
My SS was credited to my account correctly...but Loretta, you got my hopes up for nothing...I was paid for only ONE month. I guess they found another way to steal a check from every new recipient by paying for the LAST complete month. That way we luck out and get to take that last check to the pearly gates with us...or get an extra nice lining in the casket! ![]() ![]() Oh, Anybody with SHOWTIME has another chance to see OUR FATHERS at 8 EDT...god knows what time that is for you. Afterwards what sounds like a hoot: HOLY WATER-GATE: Abuse in the Catholic Church. GREAT TITLE Shrimp cocktail for din-din again with one slice of Pizza each (salad got all rotten!) Hi Ya Gang!
THANK YOU for all your well wishes, prayers and thoughts today! DH's Sx went well, he can wiggle his fingers and toes. His hip is very sore and painful where they took the bone for the vertebrae fusion. He was in good spirits though when he came round, I pushed lots of fluid, gave his hands and face a hot soapy wash, got him up to the bathroom after the 15 minute dangle at the side of the bed, not sure if they still do that. It was a 100 years ago that I did all this clinical stuff. That was a long day...7a.m. till 9p.m. can't do those shift anymore! I have just had a tub soak, cuz gotta get right back at it tomorrow morning. Hopefully he will be coming home on Friday if all is healing well. I am expecting the second day to be worse pain wise as the anesthetic will have worn off. He does have a morphine pump, so we'll see. My eating was very poor today at the hospital cafeteria. Roger, I'll check Showtime tonight for that show. I need something to wind down with before going off to bed. Waving and to All!SuSUN ![]() |

Zip, thanks for the info. The pic is really cool. The tickets are about $90 USD a piece. Ouch. I was hoping to find good seats for a reasonable price. i.e. 35/50 bucks. I'm going to call the hotel, they may have a block of seats reserved? Can't hurt to try.
Today, I ate clean and now I'm starving! Ate leftover roast beef and grilled lamb chop. No veggies & I'd love some Rapini or spinach cooked with olive oil and garlic drizzled over top. Mmmmm OK, going to sleep. Hopefully a smaller me will wake up tomorrow. I'll eat some good veggies tomorrow. Anyone got any good recipes for a low carb vegetable to serve up tomorrow?Night.
