Well,
It looks like rain never materialized and we will probably do a Linner <Indian Buffet> and a long walk and shop around Greenwich Village and Chelsea, maybe do a passle of Art Galleries. Chelsea is the new center for galleries and there are about 60 of them in a square mile...all free for those with "comfortable shoes" and a taste for the outre'ist of outre'!
Oops, Bob just awoke and said he'd rather do HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY in the Loew's Cineplex Twelveplex in the back yard mall.
Well, since he's working all month his vote counts double...so it's the movies this afternoon.

Sounds ok with me.

I'm in the mood for Goulash today so I'll cube up a bottom round in the fridge and throw it in the crockpot with a little broth before the movie. Then add sour cream and mushrooms and boil some wide egg noodles when we get back.

I hope everyone has a nice day and avoids the insane Mother's Day rush at all the restaurants.

It is a lovely sunny day up here and a beautiful blue sky.

WE are off to DD's this aft for a family BBQ, steak and jumbo shrimp on the barbie, so should be good and legal too!

Since we have all had a mom, it is a great day to remember her too. What a good idea!!!!!

Since we did our celebrating last evening, it will be a nice quiet day here. I have lots of annuals to plant. What a treat.

Happy Mother's Day to all

Slept like the dead again last night and am still rather tired. The stress of having my wacky brother here ( post traumatic stress syndrome from Viet Nam) , the trip, trying to keep Gerard stress free and all the relatives stopping by really did me in. Guess I'm getting too old for this. LOL
Guess I need a vacation to recover from this little vacation.

We are taking the moms out this afternoon to a buffet for dinner and will do a bit of wandering the huge plaza after.

Roger, a movie and dinner sound like a nice relaxing Sunday. We have a Loew's Cineplex Twelveplex here too. I wonder if that movie is playing there. Gotta check the paper.

Your Goulash sounds very much like my Beef stroganoff. LOL My goulash consists of beef, peppers, onions, and spices in a tomato sauce. Funny how recipes differ from region to region.

Susan, Oooh enjoy those shrimp and steak on the BBQ. Would rather have that myself today but out we go.

Loretta, you are so fortunate to be able to plant your flowers now. We still have a chance of frost overnight. Tomorrow I may go to pick up some annuals and keep them in the garage for a week or so before I fill those deck pots.

I'm trying to decide whether to pour a shot from that Gin Jug into a glass and go with a 3" tiny umbrella, re Zip......or go with a beach umbrella to to shade those Juniper Hives, re SuSUN

HAPPY MOM'S DAY!

Will be going to DD's today for a BBQ. They all want to go to miniature golf but not sure I will try it. Had to sit in church yesterday when everyone else stood. Lightheaded and warm again. Will definately take it easy till I see the doc.

Shawnee, sure hope you find out real soon about those horrible hives. I just can't imagine how awful you must feel.

Linda, glad you are going out to eat and don't have to cook. You deserve a good relaxing day. Why is it we need a vacation after we get home from a vacation?? Only one time did I come home relaxed and that was 2 years ago we went to Mexico and spent the entire time on the beach reading and sunning. Best vac we ever took.

SuSun, Loretta, Ginny, Barb and Jackie have a nice day to you too. Zip you too have a good day.

Happy Mom's day! My furkids will mug me later when they come in from outside, but last night Sheyshey started early with the snuggles and kisses (prolly so she didn't forget LOL) which made Nitro jealous enough to get in his share
