MVM SUNDAY

Hi kids,

Not much new...going to a show called MUSICAL OF MUSICALS this afternoon and din-din afterwards <probably EL DEPORTIVO, our Puerto Rican bargain.>
I think next week we will head to the movies...I've always been hooked on THE HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY and I ppray that Disney hasn't mangled it too much and made MICKEY IN OUTER SPACE instead.

Ginny,
Congratulations on the ribbons, sounds like a nice little show. Do you "vend?"

Dentist...my fears: hideous prices and work that doesn't hold up long enough or look good enough. Caps that are the wrong color and don;t go to the gum line or else DO and leave the gum sore in that area for 5 years. Why I'm afraid to try a new dentist: the NEW dentist wants to immediatley start by REDOING every tooth in your mouth.
Susun, I WISH I had no amalgams left...seems the only way I get rid of them is to CAP them, and every cap seems to cost $200 more than the last one.
Ginny,
Bad news on bicuspids...when they crack down into the root the ONLY thing that can be done is $$$$$$$$$ROOT CANAL-POST-CROWN$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...I know, I've had 2 cracked mid-teeth and one held on for decades before it said; IT'S TIME.

Argggh, I HATE Ativan (lorazepam.) I think it's the WORST of the benzo tranquilizers and CAUSES panic rather than cure it. (I have several bottles from my mother...the pills TORTURED her.) Valium or Librium are my choices...don't have any experience with Xanax but people seem to like it.

Loretta,
Why not send the doctor a BILL for the cost of your time because he didn't cancel within 24 hours, like he demands of his patients. When he doesn't pay submit it to a collection agency and tell them you'll split 50-50. The AGGRAVATION should CURE that doctor. Perhaps a note to AMA headquarters and a blurb to his local Chamber of Commerce. Be like a mosquito that won't let up.
I think as a minimum, your next visit should be free.

Hi Roger and the rest of our Gang!

A coolish, but SUNny mornin up here! Yes, it is May Day. I met the goal that Roger kindly set; at least 1lb gone! Thank goodness.

Now for the long haul, going well so far and the good weather promise entices one to keep with it. Think clothes, capris, shorts, that'll do it.

DH has gone over to DD's this morning to put up the Baby Gates...we have a crawling/walker lil' one now, so time for prevention!

Ginny,
Great ribbon result for a couple of amateurs, as you call yourselves!
Who takes care of the furKIDS while you are away? I am not sure if Oliver would let anyone take care of him, only DH and DD of course. He loves her.

Roger,
Enjoy the show and the meal, sounds like Fun!
Valium is the drug of choice but hard to get these days. The dentist can give you something along with the freezing to relax you.
No coffee, deep, slow breathing and some visualization may help.
A good dental plan that pays 100% would help too! LOL!

Loretta,
Thanks for the invitation to the GB. I did pop in yesterday.
Gotta pick up some cabbage this week for some of those noodles.

Wavin to the rest of the kids on the block!
Hope to be back later.

Hi
Zip what a good idea on that delayed Dr. Visit. I think I'll include the cost of gas for the trip also. I can sure empathized with you on the dentist. I have lots of missing teeth that have had root canals, crowns and eventually had had to be pulled. I only had one good chewing side left and that lower with one molar. Plus the $$$$ I have been faithful about checkups and cleaning, going every 3 to 4 months. I always ask for a discount since I don't have a full set of teeth, but never get it.

Susun good to see you posts on the Golden. We seem to have lost a lot of customers lately. They have gates over at Leah's house and I have a heck of a time getting over them since I am just too short. Leah is really babbaling lately. If we only knew what she was saying. She is trying to climb on stuff now.

Ginny congrats on the ribbons and also on being part of the judging group. You sure love those "kids" to be getting up so early. Hope things slow down for you soon.

Have a great content day all. Enjoy your Sunday!!!!!

Show was great fun, they used ONE plot "You GOtta Pay The Rent, June" and transformed it into the style of 5 of the great musical composers and all there works...first was called CORN in the style of all the Rogers and Hammerstein stuff...BEST was the Andrew Lloyd Weber segement (ASPECTS OF JUNITA...June (Evita) couldn't pay the rent in the style of Aspects of Love...Lot's of Phantom of the Opera <the Landlors>).
Four big talents worked their asses off.

Shawnee...
A hypothesis: A woman on the health boards complained of getting severe hives/welts from Splenda. If you are a regular user why not try a trial of 30 days with NONE? If you don't like aspartame, you are near enough to BC to pick up some cyclamate (Sucaryl or Sugar Twin in Canada.)

ARGGGHHH...4 hours to live til I sit in the chair of the DEMON DENTIST! 5 mg. Valium after breakfast. Bob getting stitches taken out...he had a basal cell (carcinoma?) removed from his leg. Ahhh, the joys of many, MANY suntans.
TODAY I get my resutls from last weeks Lp(a)...which will answer the question "To DRINK or NOT to drink"

Loretta,
Your dental horror story threw me into ANOTHER cold sweat!

To all a good day.
